With a puff of smoke, the basket disappeared and a mysterious man in a cape and chef's hat spiraled upward into sight with giant fork in hand. Perhaps Stephen would recognize him somehow- This chef was a strange one. Perhaps he had some remarkably similar successor. "I'm the mysterious gourmet, the Wonder Chef!" He pointed his fork skyward. "Today I will teach you how to make curry!"He lowered his fork and put his left hand on his side. "Let us begin!" He would then suddenly, quickly, and efficiently attempt to teach Stephen how to make curry. He would even try to hand him the ingredients needed to make it.

Lloyd sat on one of the chairs across from Yuu, who was sitting between Frank and Phaidra. He looked a bit uncomfortable, but not much more than Lloyd felt. How long had he been away? He didn't even know how Colette was doing. "I suggest letting the boy up there get used to our world, Lloyd. He's not a boy raised in an environment like ours. I felt he was scared to be around magic users." "Scared? Why? It's perfectly normal for us to use magic. But....I guess with everything that's going on, I can't really say anything." Phaidra nodded and Lloyd looked at Yuu. "By the way, I've never seen the kind of attacks you used. Where did you learn them? And, what's up with the gems in those pouches of yours?"

Yuu looked at Phaidra as she spoke. He wasn't comfortable being between two strangers, but he didn't really mind all that much. At least they were nice, unlike the guards he was always stuck with back home. When Phaidra said that using magic around Hope wasn't such a good idea yet, Yuu blinked. A society without magic? That kid was really sheltered. There weren't many places on La'Rin that didn't use magic. Sure, a few industrial places didn't have much need for it, but even then, people still used magic for healing and common stuff. He jumped at looked at Lloyd. "It's a type of elemental magic. I learned to fight in the palace under the strict instruction of Master Takano, and he taught me how to use the elemental energy around me. It's something few people can't do. If I can use them here, then that must mean that our worlds have the same type of energy." When the red-clothed man referred to his Rin'Ian Gems, Yuu got instinctive and places his hand on the hilt of his sword. But, he relaxed soon, realizing he wasn't asking to touch them. "They're Rin'Ian Gems. They're the condensed matter of my Rin'Ians. I can show you later if you want."

Lloyd listened to Yuu. He understood everything he said until he explained the gems. After that, he was lost. But, Yuu did offer to show him later, so he accepted the offer. "I'll hold you to that offer, Yuu. Anyway, do you think you could teach me how to do that elemental stuff?" He wouldn't mind using attacks like Yuu's. It was actually pretty cool, and both were swordsmen, so their fighting styles were pretty close together. He said not everyone could use the elemental power. If I can't, then I guess I'll just have to live with it.

Stephen watched as the basket went up in smoke and a man appeared. The red-haired male jumped back and let out a surprised yell, gripping Vorpal Blade's hilt instinctively. Before he could do anything, though, he heard the man speak, and the recipe curry seemed to just flow into his mind. He was in shock, so he didn't realize he had taken the ingredients. When he snapped out of his shock, he returned to being surprised. "Wh-Who the heck are you?" Where was Luka? Stephen didn't know how to handle this guy. He recalled Luka saying he had seen some woman examine a rather out-of-place figurine in Triet once, and a blonde guy appeared. Was this the blonde guy of this time? But, would he still be so young after so much time? Or, maybe it was some sort of family connection? Whatever it was, he was strange through and through.

Yuu rubbed the back of his head at Lloyd's request. "I'm not sure. I'm still learning, so I don't know if I'd be able to teach you. I mean, if Master Takano, he'd be able to teach you for sure. If you could sustain the energy, that is." He looked around the house. It looked like a younger female had lived here once, but he only met Phaidra. Yuu wouldn't ask questions, since he didn't want to seem too curious. "I wonder how he's doing. Was he hurt badly?" The old woman shook her head, and Yuu wondered if Hope was just asleep. It had been a long day, and night was setting in. "Um...." How would he ask about a place to rest? He didn't know these people, and his mother had taught him to be polite. He looked at Lloyd, hoping the man would understand his unspoken question.

Umm...as for her character, I think we can just assume he's following along quietly. sweatdrop I'm also not bringing this group to evening yet until the other groups are synced up. "Hmm...That's not a bad idea." She said. "You say that a shadow is casted down into this world when that comet is visible in the sky, correct? Is there anyway we could somehow get to the comet itself?" She figured that if the comet was the source of casting shadows, then their best bet was to find some way to get to the comet itself. Either that or perhaps wait until a shadow is casted. The one-eyed gunman nodded. "Yep, that's c'rect, ma'am." Then he did a double-take at Krystal's next question. He looked up at the sky for a moment, befuddled, then looked back at her. "Nope, none that I know of yet. That there kinda sounds like a good idea too, only not one t' try until we're, uh, better prepared. If th' shadow make vi'lent creatures appear on th' land, the comet might be teemin' with all sorts'f 'em. N' those creatures...they're twice t' three times stronger than what usually roams 'round these parts."

He looked at Aeris, blinking before looking to where she was. Stephen!!!" He ran to his brother and attacked him, but they didn't fall. "Luka. Thank goodness. You're okay." The two brothers held hands in a brotherly way, as if they had just won an important battle. Without warning, Luka turned into a scythe and Stephen spun him in the air before resting the scythe handle on his shoulder. "Thanks for taking care of my brother. I hope he wasn't too much of a pest." A grumble could be heard from the scythe and Stephen chuckled. [[ Out of Craziness: ]]

Haven't been to a place like this back home." he then noticed the people Aeris pointed out. He then watched Luka run towards 'Stephen' and then shared a victory shake, only to have Luka turn into a scythe and then placed on Stephen's shoulder. In the back of his mind he could hear the first Soul Eater opening playing. He then realized Stephen talking to them, "I'm usually around a overactive fool, and a guy that has fears coming out the wazoo. Your brother was a walk in the park." Lee then walked forward, and looked at the scythe "... By the way Luka, if you can hear me. When will I get me blade back? It seemed to poof away when you went all scythe-ish on us. And another question to both of you, how does this transformation work? I've got to say it reeks of familiarity to me." He scratch his chin, begining to go over several different theories in his head.

Luka stuck his tongue out at Stephen, and then looked at Lee as he asked about the transformation. "Don't really know. Is something that the blood of a demon did to us when we were attacked by it. I'm not sure how it works. Molecular disruption, maybe?" He looked at Stephen, who was now compncentrating on the communication devote. Luka took it and hit the device, all the lights activating. "I'm the Wonder Chef, of course!" The chef raised his fork once again, causing a cloud of smoke to appear and conceal him from view as the others approached. However, through the smoke, he must have seen the person's transformation into a scythe, for the cloud dissipated and he reappeared, brushing smoke and sand away from his outfit. "Amazing! You must be very talented." He seemed very interested in the person's transformation and subsequent return to human form. He listened intently for an explanation after giving the others a little bow of greetings.

Luka, on the other hand, was paying attention to Aeris. "Materia? Never heard of it. Stephen and I don't equip anything to ourselves in our scythe forms. We don't know how they'll effect our human forms." He blinked, realizing his brother was behind him when the red-haired twin rested his head on Luka's shoulder. He smiled and patted his brother's head. "Brother, we need to contact Yuan. And, you need to change. Look at you. You're completely filthy." Luka blushed and looked away sheepishly.
