Kira cocked her head lightly to the side as Shadow reached into his pocket. She watched curiously as he pulled out and opened a box. She clasped a hand to her mouth in surprise as she stared at what lay inside. Opening her mouth, she tried to speak but no words came out as she looked upong the sparkling necklace.
She blinked a few times, her thoughts jumbled in her head. "Shadow..." She managed in almost a whisper. Could this really be happening? To her, who had been alone for so long? Maybe... A warm smile spread across her face as she looked up at him, someone who had accepted her so easily when others had refused. Yes, maybe...
"Yes!" She cried, hugging him softly and kissed him happily yet shyly at the same time.

Shadow watched Kiras face light up at the sight of the necklace. He smiled softly at her as he waited for her responce. He could hardly wait to hear what she would say. His heart was pounding so hard that he thought it would burst from his chest. All he could do was smile and wait.
Finally, when Kira opened her mouth to speak, Shadow's heart lept with joy as she said yes. He was so happy. He hugged her and kissed her over and over again. "I love you so much. I want to spend forever and eternity with you." he said as tears of joy began to flow freely from his eyes. He couldn't believe it; He was getting married!!!

Kira smiled and laughed softly at his reaction. "Yeah, I'm excited too." She said in almost a whisper. Her mind was racing but she appeared collected and calm on the outside with a warm smile on her face. She grinned happily and hugged and kissed him back. This is wonderful... I wish they could be here... She thought, fingering the locket. She shook her head and smiled, dismissing the thought as she snuggled happily into Shadow, whispering, "I love you too..."

As Shadow held Kira close to him, he placed the neclace around her neck and hugged her. He had never been so glad in his life. He was going to be married to the woman of his dreams; to the only human he had ever loved, and it was all worth giving up his true form just to be with her.
Shadow smiled softly to himself as he continued to hold Kira, he never wanted to let her go, nothing in the world could shake him now. He was on top of the world and felt as if he could over come anything.

Kira sighed contentedly as she leaned into him as he held her. She felt the necklace placed around her neck but didn't move. Instead she smiled very softly and wrapped her arms around him. This was the first thing ever given to her since the sword by her father. She smiled again as she rested her head on his chest, her pale cheeks tinged a light pink.

Shadow sighed happily as he felt Kira's head rest against his. "That little clearing that we were in a few days ago, I'm gonna build us a nice little house with a porch and picket fence. We'll have a garden and anything else you'd like. And the animals will always be there to keep us company. Kurri will make many friends. We'll live a great life. I promise." he said as he kissed her lightly and smiled.

Kira smiled. "That'd... be great." She said quietly yet happily. She was still a little overwhelmed by what was happening but very excited. She knew this was how it should be and she hugged him a little tighter almost without realizing it. "I can't wait." She grinned softly, lifting her head and kissing him lightly.

Shadow smiled as he hugged her back. "I can't either, I'll start building as soon as we have the date of the wedding and everything else set up." he said as he laughed happily and hugged her close to him. He blushed slightly as they kissed again. Nothing like this had ever happened to him in his life. Even when he had been made pack leader many years ago had he fely like this.

Kira smiled up at him again with green eyes flecked with pink. This feeling was so strange yet so wonderful! At his words a thought occured to her. She cocked her head lightly to the side. "When will it be?" She wondered aloud as her tail wagged behind her, revealing her excitement.

Shadow thought for a moment and wasn't quite sure of when the wedding should be. "I don't really know.....I think we're going to need some help with this. I have no clue what we're going to need to have done. ANd the only people I can think of that might be able to help us are SUsie and Uwasa." he said with a slight smile as he loked Kira in the eyes. "What do you think?"

Kira bowed her hed for a moment. She had no idea what to do as well... "Ok." She said, lifting her head with a smile. "Do you know where they are?" She asked, growing slightly nervous. A public gathering... She kept from shivering at the idea of everyone's attention on her but decided instantly she'd deal with it for this occassion.

Shadow smiled and kissed kira's forehead as he noticed her nervious look at the thought of being infront of people. "Don't worry, I'll be by your side the whole way through, I promise." he told her with a smile as he kised her again.
When he heard her ask him where he thought the two might be, he had no clue. All he could do was shake his head. "I don't know, but lets go find them. They're bound to know what needs to be done."
