Emi tensed up when the new arrival walked into the room, but kept the gun to her side. "You can never know what you'll come across nowadays. Biting and shreding things might not work anymore. As of value, I have no need of this place other than it being empty with no visitors." Emi said, keeping a wary eye on the stranger. His outfit was odd for the times now, Emi lived threw part of those days and it was top hats were mostly long gone. He smelled funny too, but the only thing Emi recogonized was a faint trace of blood on the guy. Where had this guy been to have been near blood shed? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sylvia went with Zander's answer of a headache and didn't ask about it again. When Zander asked about what happened and guessed at Renei, Sylvia shook her head. "Renei didn't do a-anything... I don't k-know what happened... Harold said something a-about the files coming alive and... and..." Sylvia trailed off and looked back at the door, watching the crew move around inside. "Mr.Camden is d-dead, Zander. His body... It's completley..." Sylvia's voice caught and she stopped herself before she could say anything more.

Zander's attention was caught when she mentioned files coming alive. He knew of a creature that could do that. "Tell me, was there something in his blood? Like a-ah footprint, or some sort of imprint?" He moved past her and started down the corridor to the records. Valery's name was still singing in his head, and he would have to find her file later, but he knew this power. He ran down to the 'D's and quickly pulled out 'Donavon's' file. "Here. Able to animate and reshape inanimate objects." He continued to read the file. Noticing the part about eating pretty girls.

Ombre A wary smile came onto Ombre's face as the vampire spoke. "Better times they were. You don't need toys to be able to put something to rest. Not as long as you remember how the did it originally." He smiled and slowly started to turn the gun in her hand into a rubber toy. "You see objects are easy to change, living beings are a bit more tricky." He said as he started to support himself again and his cane began to turn into a snake. "You didn't want visitors? Then you shouldn't have gone into someone else's house." he smiled as his cane/snake started to rap itself around his arm. "I have no intention of arguing, or fighting, or whatever you believe my intentions," The snake slowly crawled over his body and began down his other arm to the floor, returning to it's original form as a cane. "Just try not to draw attention to this location if you could." He gave the two a soft smile and tipped his hat as he started for the stairs. He wondered how much was left of his old room, and weather or not his books were still there.

"I don't know, I didn't get close-" Sylvia got that much out before Zander walked past her. Syliva turned to watch him go, but didn't follow immediatley. Sylvia bit her lip, debating with herself weither or not to go back into the Office or not. She sighed and walked down the hall after Zander, saying that after he found what he was looking for she would stay away from the Office for a while. Sylvia slipped through the door and walked down to where Zander was in the 'D' section. "Do you know what did it?" she asked.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Emi swore as the gun turned into a toy and flung it to the ground. She watched in silence as the man's cane went from being a normal cane into a snake. Emi allowed a look of puzzlement to cross her face breifly before the snake turned back into the man's cane. "And I was supposed to know this was another person's house? You might want to do something about that." Emi muttered as the man walked up the stairs. Emi closed her eyes, thinking about possibilities of what the guy was. Truthfully, Emi was not curious enough to learn about most so called 'monsters'. Demons, ghosts, werewolves, all the basics were what she knew, but nothing too specific. "Maybe he is some sort of demon." Emi thought to herself. (( Sorry if all that sounds stupid. I've had four late nights in a row and it's catching up a little bit. ))

Zander was focused on the file until Sylvia caught his attention again. He nodded his head slightly. "I think so, if there was some sort of imprint left in the blood. But the victim is different than normal...I think I saw another file somewhere that's similar, but the victim's were different..." He flipped back and forth between a few pages before handing the file off to Syliva.
"Both cases, inanimate objects became animated and attacked, there are other files like this. If we aren't dealing with the same thing, it might at least be the same type of monster." His hand slid into his pocket to get out his phone, but Valery's file came to mind. He needed to get his hand's on it before anyone else got a chance to again.

Ombre Ombre had to force open the old office door that had been stuck in place and looked around the dusted room. It was dark, so he turned the top of his cane into a light, and made it stretch to the height of the room. It seemed that no one had been inside the office sense he left, but with those girls coming here he didn't know how many other things frequented it.
He walked over to the worn, and gray covered desk and began to open drawers for old journals he had left. It was hard to remember everything for as long as Ombre had been around. It was easier to write journals while in places he stayed and leave them somewhere safe incase he ever decided to return.
((ooc: Also, if I ever go to far with Ombre let me know.))

Sylvia took the file from Zander and skimmed through it. She shuddered slightly at the things she read, but had to close the file after reading the part about eating girls. Sylvia put a hand to her head, trying to remember if there was anything in Mr. Camden's blood. Sylvia had pretty much been in brain lock, seeing all the blood and gore... There had been something that looked different from the scene. "I think there might have been something..." Sylvia said slowly. "I don't k-know for sure, b-but... There was a b-blank spot in the blood... It was just a cirlce, but it was the only spot close to even being c-clean." Sylvia said, running a hand through her hair. The image of Mr. Camden's bloody mess was mixing with the carnage from five years ago, and it was nearly impossible to get the images out of her head.

Ryoku followed exactly what some fellow society members were pointing to where was Sylvia, as Ryoku finally caught up, he spotted what look like the there was the same dude with 'Prince" on his shirt and Sylvia were discussing an case. Ryoku didn't want to get in between so he waited until they were done. After all he was raised to try, to be polite. But Ryoku didn't have all night so he approaches them with ease. "Hey, still discussing about the bloody incident back in the library?" He pulled out his data pad any was pulling up data of monster, and fallen victims. "I may not be an detective, but I still can help you with analysis thanks to my little tech scanner here, Ha", as Ryoku added a little of enthusiasm
(Sorry for missing out lately, school you know....By the way, the last few other post, I meant to say you should be in charge in notifying us the "time" of the story, so we can decide when it's getting to late, or in the morning. (Not real time, but the story time). I got confuse when Ryoku and Emi were fighting in the alleyway, you stated Emi was going to kill Ryoku cause it was going to get dark when night time falls).

Zander nodded as Sylvia tried to explain what she remembered. He placed his hand on her shoulder and tried to calm her down. "It's ok, the clean-up team would have taken pictur-" He stopped as soon as he noticed the new kid show up. He was an Engineer right? Then why the hell was he trying to do everyone else's job.
Zander waited up until the kid started to play on his little toy before getting his fill. "Listen kid. I get it, you're new. You want to help out, let everyone know your name. Fine. You already said it, you're not a detective. You're an Engineer right? Just go back to your lab and just tinker with your toys until we tell you what it is we're going after. Then, if one of the more experienced weapon builders is too busy, you can build what we're going to use to kill it. Until then, get out of my face." Zander took the file back from Sylvia and headed back down the line to grab Valery's file. She was stuck in the back of his head, and he needed to know why.
((ooc: It's fine. and Rocket, do not take this post badly. Zander just doesn't like new people.))

"Right. They always have to take pictures." Sylvia thought to herself as Zander walked down to a different line of cabinets. Turning to Ryoku, Sylvia said, "Sorry... I d-don't know Zander that well, b-but I don't think he'll be like that forever. I'm sorry for snapping at you e-earlier too, at the alleyway thing. It's sort of a personal case." Sylvia said, pushing a lock of hair out of her face. She turned her back on the clean-up crew, not wanting to watch as they cleaned up the scene. "I actually t-think we have it f-for now... Zander had an idea of what the thing might b-be. I think he might look at it m-more later. I'm done for the day... I can't t-take much more carnage." Sylvia sighed. "Do you n-need help with anything else, t-though?" Sylvia asked, almost unconciously going into 'assistant mode'.
(( It's okay Rocket. I'm going to be busy with school in the next few weeks too... As for the time, I guess it can pretty leninent as long as everyone pays attention to what general time it is. Now, it should be night time I guess, and as long as some time passes before daylight, we'll be fine. It's hard to collaborate these types of things. ))Sylvia S. Harrow

Usually Ryoku would get frusterated at this point with everyone considering him an amature or kid, but what was going through Ryoku in his head thought it was funny, the fact that Prince is calling him a "kid" and Ryoku saw Prince boy here looked three years younger than him, what a fail.
Ryoku just shrug off Zander insults and ryplied Zander with a yawn. As soon as Zander walked away, Ryoku snap back to Sylvia as she was apologizing, "Whoa, no need to say sorry for "Little Tough Guy", I mean, I've faced people like him that gave me the same crap like this a lot back at my previous Society Group before I was relocated...Well that's what I get for signing up for engineer, we're always treated like High School "Nerds" as they say...". "As for the alleyway incident...it's cool...", Ryoku was gonna turn away but as she said help, it rung a memory back into his brain. "Oh yeah, since I'm new to this area, I was told I still have to check in with the Assiatant records keeper, which I knew that was you so...I also need to get set up, my room number, keys, and where I will be working", finished Ryoku as he gave a polite smile. (I know that King, just your OC is the big mouth one here.)

"I figured Zander wouldn't a-apologize so I did it f-for him." Sylvia said and shrugged. She understood the nerd thing, but only from back when she was still in school, since her glasses and scholary attitude had always been a trait she had. At the mention Assistant records keeper, Sylvia looked up. "Yeah, that's me. Is it that obvious?" Sylvia asked before saying, "Don't answer that. Mr. Camden s-should have gotten everything ready... He was the one who deal w-with these things. I just p-put files away. It should be in h-his office... I-I'll go get that now, and you can f-follow if you want." Sylvia said before walking down the aisle back towards Mr. Camden's desk.
She stayed out of the way of the clean up crew and made a left at the desk. A door was along that wall and Sylvia checked the door and found that it was unlocked. She walked through the door way and to a bin lying on a table. It took Sylvia a second to find a folder marked Dirthes, Ryoku. The folder had Room: 437 printed on it and Engineer Lab printed next to Ryoku's name.Sylvia S. Harrow

╚══════════════╝ When Sylvia declined to follow Renei to the infirmary, Harold just shook his head and sighed. It was her choice to make, not his. He wondered if it was her first time seeing such carnage, based off of her reaction and where she usually worked. An assistant Records keeper wouldn't normally be out in the field, looking at bloody crime scenes and trying to piece together clues. He headed down the hall to infirmary and asked for Renei.
She was sitting on a bed, being fussed over by a nurse and had that look on her face that said she was frustrated. He walked over, and signed, <"A clean-up crew is on the scene now. They might come bug us later about the details of what happened, but we're not important.">
The nurse had a hold of Renei's arm, so she couldn't use both her hands to sign. That didn't hinder her energetic signing one bit, and she was still completely understandable even signing one-handed. <"What was up with those files? How did they do that? Is anything missing? How did you stop them?"> She would have continued her barrage of questions, but Harold put up his hands in surrender and just looked at her blankly. <"I don't have all the answers you're going to want. And they're not going to assign you to the case, you're already on the siren. So you'll just have to wait till the official investigation is finished.">
<"But that could be months, if at all! And that doesn't answer why the files did that, or how you stopped them."> She glared at him indignantly. He laughed and signed <"Alright, alright, I'll do my best."> He paused, trying to think of how best to put this in American Sign Language. Finally, he signed, <"This is pure speculation, but I think the files had some sort of curse on them that made them attack anything alive. I'm not an engineer or a scientist that specializes in that kind of stuff, so I couldn't describe the exact mechanics of how that would work anyways. As for how I stopped them, my dad taught me a lot of demon magic. I used a common counter-curse to lift whatever curse had been on them. Whoever brought the files to life either didn't know or didn't care enough to put in measures to keep counter-curses from being effective.">
Renei's brows furrowed as she thought about this. The nurse finished and stood, then said something to Harold. He duly translated what had been said, which was that Renei was free to go. She hopped off the bed, wincing slightly at her injuries. <"That's not nearly enough information for me, but it'll have to do. Now, to get back to my case..."> She headed out of the infirmary and back to library. She'd just remembered she'd left Valery's case file lying out on the table there, along with the other books she'd gone through. In her excitement to find Sylvia and grill her about that siren autobiography, she'd forgotten to grab it again.
It didn't take too long for them to get back to the library. Renei picked up the file and began looking at it again as she wandered back to the Records office, Harold close behind. <"Hrrmmmm... Now that I look at all these autopsy reports, there's definitely something in common. They all died from exsanguination through the throat, with notes from the coroner saying it looked like an animal had bitten the victims or clawed them. Usually, there's no other wounds, save for some minor bruising or scrapes that were received when the bodies hit the ground.">
<"No struggle?"> Harold peered over her shoulder with interest.
<"Not that I can see... "> She shuffled through the rest of the file and frowned in exasperation. The reports of the crime scenes of all the victims weren't included. She'd probably have to look up each case separately and compare them to see if the investigators had found anything that suggested there'd been any sort of fight before Valery had killed her victims.
Harold tapped her shoulder and pointed, letting her know that they were at the Records Office. The clean-up crew was finishing up, and Sylvia and Ryoku were standing outside of it. Before Harold could get Sylvia's attention, though, the young woman ducked inside the office. Renei waved politely at Ryoku and gave him a friendly smile. His language skills in ASL weren't exactly top-notch, but he was the only other person in the Underground Society that she'd met so far who knew it.☞☞☞☞

Ryoku looked over her shoulders and gave a nod, pushing his flat data screen buttons to record his room number and area site. Ryoku than notice in the extra note section reads his reasoning for transfer, disobeying direct order. "Crap...way to go to screw up my reputation", thought Ryoku, remembering it wasn't his fault really, he did it with good reason. Retaining his cool, he looked back at Sylvia "Cool, thanks...looking forward to be working with you." As Ryoku gave stylish salute and as he turned around, he saw it was that chick who was injured back in the library.
"Oh, I what are-uh...", remembering that she was a mute, he held up his hand and made funny hand gestures. He watched a lot of acting and plays, therefore he should apply it to his ASL lessons he learned for deaf people durring his training enrollement as engineer.
<"My bad, forgot, you are mute...what, is, your, name?"> asked Ryoku in ASL.

╚══════════════╝ Renei had to stifle a smile as Ryoku began signing. His ASL was more like Signed English, and he was a little uncertain. She slowed down her signing and made her movements sharper so that she was easier to understand.
<"That's alright. My name is Renei Vorcos. I'm new here as well. Sorry, I'd love to chat more, but I wanted to look up some stuff for this case I'm working on.">
Harold was keeping up a running translation, of course. It was his job to ensure that Renei was completely understood and that she understood everything as well. She signed to Ryoku, <"I'll see you later."> Then she approached Sylvia and tapped her on the shoulder politely. When the young woman turned around, she signed, <"I would appreciate it so much if you could help me find some case files. There's a fair amount, and I thought it would go quicker if you helped me.">☞☞☞☞
