"Oh, I'm sorry." Emil looked away, feeling ashamed of himself for a moment. "I'm Emil." He said as he looked back at the woman. "I've been hearing these rumors about people going missing. I was wondering if you know more about it."

At the sound of the voices, Oro skidded to a halt and turned in a single movement. He got low to the ground and snapped his fingers summoning his swallow in a flash of light. He growled almost feral in nature.
Schwarz skidded to a halt behind his brother with a slightly panicked look on his face, "Hey, Oro stop that, they might be friendly." gonk
"Quite Schwarz, if they aren't, I'll be biting at their throats quicker than they can react." mad
"That's... a little..." He then noticed the woman near the entrance, "Oh uh... just two normal uninteresting people, nothing to see, keep moving if you please." he bowed and forced a nervous laugh.

When Lloyd's group finally caught up to the two, "Um, I'm sorry to bother you fine gentlemen, but I believe my friends here were wanting to talk to you." sweatdrop Cinkel rubbed the back of his head and looked towards Lloyd.

"Ah, my name's Cleo." She nodded at Emil's statements. "Yes, I've heard of these rumors. People've been disappearing all over the world. Quite frankly, I don't really care. None of my business or profit." Cleo moved over to the fountain and ran her fingers through the water as she spoke coldly.

Colette had the thought of flying until she saw the two men had stopped. She would catch up to the two men along with Lloyd. When she was about to speak, her attention turned to Cinkel when he spoke to the two men. Her blue eyes then gaze over to the men. "I'm sorry if we have startled you both." She said, giving them a friendly smile.

"Nice to meet you, Cleo." Emil said with a small smile, though that smile faded when he heard Cleo's cold response. "But aren't you worried that maybe one of your friends or family might be among those missing people?"

Cleo's expression showed that of sadness, but it lasted only for a moment. "Nah, no worries. My family is in a place where no one can reach them. I don't have any friends to worry about, so therefore, I don't care." She sat on the fountain edge and crossed her arms. "If these vanished people were caught, it just means that they were to weak to defend themselves. End of story."

Jason continued his scramble to keep up, reaching the congregation of people. "Ach, what be goin' on here?!"
His trouble senses were tingling. He made sure to keep his hand on his chain.

Oro stood up, and lowered his weapon, "Speak, I'm listening."
Schwarz turned around and noticed the dwarf, "Oh so it's this group again!" he pushed passed his twin and walked towards the group, pulling out a bottle of ale from his cloak, "You drink any, Mister Dwarf?"
In a quick movement Oro went behind his brother, dragged him a few steps back and walloped him upside the head. "Too touchy, too soon. As always. These guys could be enemies."
The hood of Schwarz cloak came off his head, revealing his face, he seemed unfazed by the hit to the face. "If we all share a drink we can be friend in the end though."
Oro walloped Schwarz again, "YOU BE QUITE!" He then pointed at Lloyd's group, "One of you please speak, before I bash him senseless."

"I would like to point out that I am technically part of that group...or at least I will be tomorrow. And we have no ignoble intentions to speak of. Lloyd the Great and the Chosen, along with Sir Cinkel and Sir Jason have kindly agreed to help me find my missing brother." Lelia set the groceries down and bowed politely. "My name is Lelia, formerly a researcher and scientist for the royal family of Tethe'alla. I doubt any of us are your enemies." She added the 'former' with a grimace, doubting in her mind that she'd be welcomed back to her place after leaving so abruptly.

Colette watched the one man wallop the other upside the head. She would then notice the hood of the other man came off his head. "Though everybody gets thirsty sometime." She said with a friendly smile, not seeming to know what they meant by drinking. Her blue eyes then gaze over to the man who had walloped the other man. "I'm sorry if there's a misunderstanding." She said. "We were wondering if you two know more about the missing people." She would then give a small bow. "I'm Colette." She then noticed Lelia. "Oh hello again, Lelia." ^.^

Emil caught the sad expression on Cleo's face for a brief moment. When he heard her speak, he would close his eyes. "Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality." He said before opening his eyes. "Well, I will do whatever I can to help those people. I can't just sit here and watch people suffer in front of me."

Cinkel placed a hand on his chest and bowed a small bow of his own. "You can call me Cinkel. Hold the 'sir', if you please." He smiled. "I'm sure you've heard the rumors about people going missing. No?"

Cleo made a strange face at Emil: one of her eyes halfway closed and her teeth bared at the same side. "What was that? Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality? Pfffft. Whatever kid." She thought for a moment. "I think I remember hearing someone else say that once before. Ah, doesn't matter." The elf then went back into thought. "Hmmm. I have a proposal for you. You think you would be up to it?"

When he heard Cleo mention that she had heard that phrase before, Emil tilted his head slightly with a curious expression on his face. "You know Richter?" He asked, having a thought that Richter might've been well-known since he was a member of the Vanguard. He became more curious when heard Cleo say she had a proposal for him. "What sort of proposal?"

"Heck. I don't know his name. Some guy with long red hair at Sybak said it." Cleo squeezed her hands together. "If I help you out with finding these people, you buy me dinner for three months. It's a bit of a one sided deal. Don't you think? I help you out, and you get to have dinner with a pretty elf." There was no kindness in her tone as she spoke.

"Yeah, that's Richter." Emil said with a small smile, yet his smile faded as his expression became sadden. Mentioning Richter had made him think about the red-haired half-elf and the things he had done. Soon he snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Cleo speak about her proposal. "Buy dinner for 3 months?" He asked, then he took a moment to think. He seemed to be against the idea, but he wasn't getting anywhere on his own. He wanted to find out the cause of people going missing. He would then give a nod. "I'll take that offer. I could use some help anyways. ^.^; He thought that it wouldn't hurt that he just has to buy dinner for her. It wasn't like he was going to go on a date with her. However, his only concern was...Marta. Though he was glad that Tenebrae wasn't around to make the scenario worse.

Cleo clapped her hands together. "Good, good. It's a deal then." She got up off of the water fountain and stretched. "All right. What do we know so far? Hm?" The elf looked down at him. "Do you have any leads?" She had a bit of a sinister grin. All she was thinking about was actually having something good to eat for the next three months. Hmm, maybe I should have said six months. Maybe he would have went for it. He seems gullible enough.

"Thank you." Emil had a small smile on his face. When Cleo asked about what they know so far, he would take a moment to think. "I wasn't sure if these rumors were true, but myself and Marta have been hearing about them at almost every place we visited at. We've been mostly focusing on fixing the mess the Vanguard had made." He would shake his head in response to Cleo's other question. "No...I'm sorry." He noted the sinister grin she had on her face, and it had him feel a bit uneasy. "Um...Is something wrong?"
