"I'm glad you are too," She nodded with a smile, continuing to pat his head, just glad that there was something solid for her to pat. Death was frightening, but the idea of being FEAR particles filled with eternal regret and without a solid body? Even more frightening... A pause followed as her smile widened, "Oh! And I know someone else who would be equally glad... Uh, if he hadn't wandered off." She was, of course, referring to Mac, who seemed concerned about Charlie's safety.
"Aww, there's no fire! None at all!" She frowned, her hand moving over to Amrita's head to pat her instead. Quickly, she nodded, "Of course! Tahki's a friend, so she would naturally be invited to it! The more the merrier, right?"
She would regret those words in the future. Probably.
Her attention then turned to a familiar pair of orange-red wings slinking off alone - Jericho was leaving? Already? With Riley and Malodore around, she thought he would be staying longer to reunite and catch up and do... Stuff. She looked troubled for a split second as she eyed Charlie, and then Jericho again - she needed to find Mac to inform the possibly worried Reaper that Charlie is fine, but... But...
Hugsaretotallyimportantinreunions.
Quickly excusing herself with a "Be right back", she moved - okay, she sprinted - over to the dragon, grabbing his wrist and using him as a way to stop herself from crashing into a tree or something equally embarrassing. Throwing her arms around him, she gave him a squeeze; she wanted so much to tell him everything right now, but... All in good time, right?
"W-welcome home, I'm glad you're safe!" Was all that she could manage, her soft voice muffled by her burying her face in his shirt. There was that familiar warmth again, but...
"That look don't suit you, but I think I told you that before," She released him as quickly as she had hugged him, taking a step back as she stared at his face. Still, maybe that's why he was moving off alone... She could only hope that she didn't do something bad by stopping him for her own selfish reason a hug.

Okay.. so maybe leaving the questions for later wasn't such a good idea after all. None of what Christof made sense, and she was only getting bits and pieces that she couldn't put together to form a coherent chain of thought. She gleaned that the fire Christof was scared of had come from Jericho - though she couldn't imagine why - and there was just the tiniest part of her that piped up at him being called her dragon. Possessive, to the last. She didn't have time to enjoy the feeling, because Christof was still going through a breakdown.
Christof. Pull yourself together. Both literally and figuratively. She murmured in a strong tone. You must come to terms with the reality that whatever you might have experienced involving me, or other students who weren't with you, was not real. Nothing about that place, really.
But she knew that comforting Christof was not going to be an easy process. She expected to be holding the poor boy in her arms for some time, until he finally settled down. So she shifted to a comfortable embrace, and rested her head beside his.
We're all fine now. Everything can go back to normal.

The sobbing continued and he buried his head against her chest if only to try to muffle it from anyone else hearing if he could help it. He was shaking violently as he clung to her to keep himself upright. His arm popped free again in her grip but he ignored it, the hand still clinging to her arm anyway. I... I would have k-k-k-killed him, Mistress, he wasn't an illusion it was really him, and I would have if not for his mark and now his mark is gone and I'm a terrible Igor I should have known I should have known it was not you you deserve better I am broken broken merchandise not even my creator wants he couldn't fix me I don't want to be alone again....
The wails had quieted down to quiet, frantic, and messy sobbing, his head shaking frantically as he suddenly scrambled away, a wild look in his eyes, I should have known it was not you I should have known and I unthinkingly tried to... I am sorry I am not better I am sorry! You deserve better you are so strong and perfect and I... I'm... I'm no Igor!!

Before Jericho could get too far off, he felt someone grab a hold of his wrist to pull him into a hug. Looking down, he saw a mass of pink hair that belonged to Lizzy. Smiling lightly, he wrapped his arms around her and patted her on the back before she released him.
"I'm glad to see you alive and well," he said before chuckling softly, "I'm just tired. It's been a long... I don't even know how many days or weeks we've been in that hell."
It wasn't completely a lie; he was pretty damn tired right now, but it wasn't the full story either. Then again, he wasn't sure what that full story was just yet. Still, he didn't want to burden Lizzy or anyone else with the worry that there was something wrong with him when everyone had reunited just now.
"You're a real good friend," he added quietly, "Just wanted to let you know that."

((I have been gone all day and missed 8 pages. SO if I miss something Yaya should be responding too, I'm sorry, just kinda contribute it to mental trauma and exhaustion. >.>))
Even surrounded by so many familiar bodies jostling around her, those few short seconds of waiting, of worry and things unknown, left the djinn feeling terribly alone. She huddled where she had fallen, arms curled tightly around her abdomen as if trying to shrink away from it all. Trembling from a chill that had nothing to do with the weather. She was happy to be home, really she was, but.. But if he wasn't here.. He had to be here. He had to be okay. She couldn't bare the alternative. She just wanted, no needed to see him.
A cry sounded above the collective noise of many happy reunions, louder for its sweet familiarity, and she turned to that sound with her breath caught in her throat, eyes burning as mix of relief and sheer overwhelming emotion spilled down her cheeks in crystalline tears. He was here. He was safe! Oh, jack.
She was reaching for him even before he emerged from the crowds, and the second their hands touched she dissolved into sobs. Though despite the tears, the hiccuped breaths, she was smiling. A bright, radiant thing, though certainly watered down from the norm. She curled her fingers around his, marveling at the softness of his hand, the sharp contrast of vanilla bean and mochacinno skin. The kiss, a chaste brush against the backs of her knuckles, made her shiver, and even before he had dropped to his knees before her she was pulling him down.
He whispered to her. Sweet assurances of their affection, and so firmly, even when said in so soft a tone, that she would never doubt him. As he pulled her into his arms she moved automatically to slide dark arms around his neck, clinging to him as surely as he was to her, and when his lips found her's it was like everything else disappeared. He stole the sobs from her lips, quieted her crying, and she fell eagerly into that tender embrace. Seeking to replace all the foul memories of the past weeks with this one happy moment.
When they finally parted she spoke, at last. Lips a delicate brush against the fullness of his mouth. Voice just as hushed as his own. "I love you, too." She might had said more, but the knot in her throat was thick enough to choke on, and it was all she could do to keep from weeping again.

Charlie was happy to stay there with Amrita hugging him for ever. So he did just stand there like a dopey crush struck fool and let Amrita hug him. A goofy grin sprouted on his face and stayed there as the undead ghoul held the demon.
He almost paid no attention to what Lizzy was saying. The customary "yeah" and "Uh huh" were given every few moments but besides that. So when Lizzy slunk off the demon was to preoccupied to really notice.
---------------------------------------------
Tahkis ears flickered. Amritas hurt was enough to make her feel ashamed of her self for trying to sneak off. Clearly Amrita wanted her to stay and... Uh.
"PizzA!? " Tahki squeaked at the end of her sentence. "Uhh.. " Her golden eyes widened. Amrita and Lizzy were including her in their party? The gryphoness felt ashamed of her self hiding around most this school year in her dorm room wasting her thumbs away on game boil. "W-well. Yeah!"
Tahki straightened her self up.
"I'd love to come of course." A little courage had returned to Tahki if only for a moments time. Tahki scooted closer to Amrita and Charlie as Lizzy slinked off to go else where.

"Its been a long trip, yeah..." She muttered softly before tiptoeing, reaching out to pat Jericho on his head - uh, closer to his forehead really - as she grabbed his hand, "And you are a good friend too, but..." She hesitated, not quite sure if he was telling her the truth or if he was just trying not to worry her - after all, she had been guilty of similar things... Like keeping her death-by-fire take 2 from Amrita and Tess. This was different, though, right? Right.
"Don't keep things to yourself too long or anything. It gets tiring... Uh, I'm a good listener! I think." She nodded before leaning back and releasing his hand, her cheeks pink when she realized what she had done, "But yes! Do take a good rest! I'm looking forward to seeing you around school..."
In more ways than one, really.

Smiling a bit as she patted him on the head and took his hand, he didn't really think much of the actions aside from something of comfort. Her offer had him wondering if he wasn't hiding things as well as he thought he was at the moment, but he was sure he'd be able to stuff things away more easily when he wasn't so worn and hungry.
"I'll keep that in mind," he nodded, "And thanks. I'll see you around."
Smiling again, he turned around and started heading to the dorms once again.

While he wasn't intentionally ignoring his fellow ghost, Sarias' parting shots had gone mostly unnoticed. He was too caught up with the ghoul in his arms. The familiar contours of that petite frame in his arms. No, they hadn't been together long, but that didn't bloody matter to him. He'd tried to fight that initial attraction, tried to keep things casual, but in the end he'd found himself smitten. He held her, and he let himself sink into that wonderful warmth, and for just a moment he forgot about the island, the fog, the fall, everything.
Finally he let her down, blinking as she bounced back up to give him a quick kiss before walking off. "Er.. Okay. I'll be here." That was weird. Was that Sarias she was wandering over to? Had the Banshee finally struck a nerve? There was a smile on Junko's lovely face as she took the other ghoul's hand to lead her away, and there was something about the parting vision that seemed awfully foreboding. So much so in fact that he took a step forward, intending to fallow, when the sound of familiar voices made him pause and glance around himself.
"Bul!" And once he heard the other boil he was easy enough to spot. The ghost quickly made his way through the crowd towards the half-beast, grinning like an absolute fool no doubt, and bypassed the usual brotherly knuckle bump to pull his friend into the manily equivalent of a hug. The shoulder bump/pat. It was short, it was sweet, it said louder then words just how happy the jikininki was to see his friend. Mei was with him as well, and though they barely knew each other he was happy to see she was okay. "Good to see you again in one piece, Mei." Ha, terrible joke.
With most of their group now accounted for, Seiji was aware that the smaller members of the party were still missing. Turning, he scanned the crowd for Jove and Tomoko, even Elaphe. Cupping his hand over his mouth before yelling for them. "Jove, Momo! Runt!"

Barths answer caused Mandy to give him a long hard look.
"You sure about that. 'cause from where I'm sitting he looked the definition of not good. And not just physically."
She paused, considering something that caused her to frown deeply.
"...You sure you're alright?"

Malodore followed Riley to Christof's side; at first it had hung back, letting Mistress and Igor have their moments... then, when it seemed Christof's distress was not being eased, it too stepped forward. "I can assist with the physical pulling-yourself-together aspect," it said, opening its beak in a small smile. "At the very least."
It had no idea what else was causing Christof's hurt, but perhaps having small things repaired would lead to healing in other areas as well.

Riley's comforting waves slowly ebbed to a stop as she let what he was saying sink in. Christof. What do you mean, he wasn't an illusion? Who are you talking about?
She continued to physically comfort him, however, running her hand down the length of his hair. And you'll never be alone again. Didn't I promise you that already? Just.. calm down and tell me what happened from the beginning. And leave out all of the self-deprecating comments, they aren't helping you make any sense.
She reached back behind her when Malodore stepped up, and slipped her hand into its claw to pull it closer. She wasn't quite done getting her fill of her own comfort, just yet. Memories were still vivid.

Christof was crying a bit more than usual, but Christof hadn't said anything, exactly. The second question was easier to answer.
"No. Well, I'm alive. Alright in that sense. Better that I know I was probably only temporarily mad instead of- well, thank you, anyway."
He looked towards the faraway buildings, expression gloomy.
"I suppose I will have to walk back to my dorm."

Christof flinched as Malodore approached, DON'T TOUCH ME on the edge of his frantic, chaotic thoughts, but it seemed his Mistress's demands were enough to instinctively keep him from physically lashing out. Instead, he looked away from either of them, not wanting to meet their eyes. I was bad, Mistress, I did not mean to be... his mental voice had gotten quiet again, and thankfully it seemed the sobbing had stopped. He didn't want to sob in front of Malodore.
Slowly, carefully, and as concisely as possible, he tried to explain the events that had happened as coherently as he could. His thoughts became erratic again once it reached the cornfield, shame bubbling up as he struggled to articulate. How she had been there, waiting for him, and had tortured him until he had agreed to do the indescribable. He had to obey his Mistress, blindly. That's how it worked.
Of how he had almost killed Barth. The hunt might have gone on for days, it might have only been an hour, time was murky in the horrible, shifting place of lies.
And... and I had him, I had him, I had finally lead him away and all I could think of was how to please you, how to prove I wasn't dragon-food and... and if his horns hadn't... He was threatening to sob again in his shame and panic, holding his face with his remaining attached, monstrous left hand.
He managed to push forward with the story, babbling only a little as he tried to describe his struggle in the labs, how he had worked so hard to try to decipher the code, only to find out it was so SIMPLE... how he had entered the final command eagerly, thinking he was leading them all to salvation, only to have them all... Everyone... Everyone but Barth...
He was alive then, I know it, I saw him before... before... and then it was just... just nothingness and all alone and no one, no Masters or Mistresses ever and I thought it was going to be forever...
The boy's face furrowed once more in a look of misery. And I failed you. I failed Calder. It was real. We were real. Even if everything else was not, we were real and the pain was real and that place was real and I never want to go there again, ever again, ever ever again. He was not speaking of the Island itself.

Mandy wanted to sigh. Really, really badly. Barth wasn't talking about something big and she could tell. But now wasnt the time. So instead she pushed back the urge and stood, offering him a hand.
"Demon Dorms are closer and I feel like a nap anyway...."
Besides, she didn't want to deal with the twins yet, who knew what had happened with them whilst she was gone.
