Avery followed Timothy as he lead the way, grinning at the compliment. "Thanks..." he couldn't stop blushing. What was his problem? He never blushed! But something about Timothy's compliments made him feel really good, he couldn't help it. "I'll trust you know where you're going! I wouldn't want to get stuck out in the jungle again," he chuckled. But, he supposed it wouldn't be so bad to get lost of Timothy was with him.

Timothy continued his trek with Avery. One that took many hours of the day. Despite bugs and reptiles it really was a rather safe trek. Except for his own odd creations Moreau had made sure their was nothing on the island that could actually harm any islanders. They were too important to him.
Even as the sun passed in the sky, they finally made their way to the cliffside that Timothy had talked about. It's elevated position made it possible to see out for miles. The ocean all around them, and if you looked down you could see the waves crash against rocks. It also had a few rocks that a couple of them made conviently placed seats.
"This... is what I wanted to show you."

Avery didn't mind the reptiles, but he went out of his way to avoid the bugs (especially bees). Once they reached the cliff, Avery walked out to the edge to check out the view. "Wow... you were right! This place is awesome... it's beautiful." He turned around to look at Timothy, smiling at him. He really liked the skunk boy... and looking at him, Avery wondered what he was waiting for. Why did he want take his time with this? There was no reason to wait. There was plenty of time to get to know him better.
"Thanks for bringing me here. I'm glad you did." He walked closer to Timothy and grabbed one of his hands, then he leaned in and kissed him.
"Sorry... I just wanted to do that." Although he didn't think Timothy would really mind that much. He was sure the other boy liked him.

Timothy's blush was hidden by the fur, but he could feel the heat in his face. He smiled back at Avery, and not saying another word he pulled him back into another kiss, a long one. Timothy's tongue probed the blonde haired dog boy's mouth for as long as it could and then he pulled back. As he did so his hands roamed Avery's body a bit.
"It was worth it." he grinned his tail twitching slightly in excitement.

Avery grinned into the kiss when Timothy pulled him back for a second one. He wrapped his arms around Timothy, returning the kiss for as long as he could make it last. He was blushing as well, but it wasn't because of the kiss - it was because his tail was wagging, and he couldn't stop it. It felt strange and embarrassing.
When Timothy pulled back, Avery smiled at him. "Well... I think I could agree with that, yes," he chuckled. "I probably would have kissed you sooner, but I was being stubborn with myself."

"It's okay, some things are worth the wait." Timothy pulled Avery close to him. Timothy was rather estatic, and for the first time since he'd been on the island. Maybe even the first time in his life he wasn't lonely. He walked Avery with him out to the very edge of the cliff.
"Sit down." he sort of started sitting down himself. "I like to sit at the edge and look down. It's very inspiring."

"Inspiring? Don't you mean dangerous?" Avery chuckled, but he sat down at the edge next to Timothy anyway. "You're never afraid you might fall or something?" he asked, peering down over the edge of the cliff. "It's pretty high up..."

"It's worth it though. Besides, it feels sturdy enough." Timothy had never really worried about it before. It wasn't because he lacked fear or anything like that. He had plenty of fear. Just before now he hadn't worried too much about himself.
Maybe he had something to make it worth worrying about now. But not at this moment, this moment needed to be perfect. He put his arms around Avery. "It's so awesome. But I've always looked at it by myself, for some reason with you it's like I'm seeing it for the first time all over."

Avery couldn't help it - he grinned and started to laugh. "You're kind of sappy, you know that?" he said between chuckling. "It's cute, though... I like it." He scooted closer to the other boy, putting one of his arms around him too. "It's sweet."
Every now and then, Avery felt vertigo around heights. But it seemed to only happen at certain places randomly, he could never figure out why it didn't happen everywhere. He did make sure not to look down again though, because it was a little intimidating to him.

"It comes with being an artist... we tend to be a bit overemotional." Timothy snickered a bit. Timothy snuggled a bit closer into Avery's arms.
"So where do we go from here?" he asked quietly. Timothy knew what he wanted. He really wanted to be with Avery, in the committed, and in the physical sense. It wasn't that he was unromantic, far from it. But he was a guy and for him a lot of the romance was a build up to... something else.
Not that his question was phrased to make Avery realize what he might be really asking. Unless it was on Avery's mind too.

"Uh." Avery didn't know what to say to that. Truthfully, he hadn't even thought past kissing Timothy. He just knew that he liked him, and had felt like kissing him. So he did it.
"Well... I'm not sure. I figure we just... do whatever we feel like, you know? Whatever happens will happen." Of course, that didn't mean he would turn down anything else... but at this very moment, it was not on his mind.

"I... I don't know..." Timothy sighed, were guys really supposed to be this hard to get in bed with too? Not from what Timothy had heard in high school of most strait guys anyway.
It wasn't that Timothy honestly wanted nothing else. But he felt close to Avery and perhaps he was a bit over anxious, but he was a pubescent male. His hormones were working against him.
"I really do like you... and I like being with you." he shrugged. "Perhaps it's a bit sudden but... I think I've completely fallen for you. Head over heals and all that."

Whoa. Avery didn't realize Timothy liked him that much... he chewed on his lower lip in thought. "Well... I should tell you right now, then, I don't exactly feel that way. But I do really like you!" he added quickly. Avery didn't want Timothy getting the wrong idea, but he wanted to make sure he knew the truth - he felt that was important. "I mean, I really like you, a lot. And... I think it will be easy to fall for you."
He reached up and cupped Timothy's cheek with one hand, stroking his thumb over his lip. Avery moved his hand out of the way and then kissed him again, trying to express how he felt through it. He leaned against him, pulling the other boy as close as he could to himself.

Timothy finished the kiss with Avery. Though he didn't return it that strongly. He tried not to think about it, he knew that Avery just needed time. Still, the fact that he didn't feel as strongly for him was a little disappointing for the young, niave boy.
Timothy's face actually turned a bit sadder. "I... guess that's understandable. I mean... ummm... I obviously can't force someone to... to feel that way." The confidence Timothy had had a moment ago was rather shattered. He'd gone back to pausing and stuttering like he normally did when he wasn't singing.
The way Avery actually felt about Timothy though, was probably more real than the lusty haze that Timothy was speaking from. That didn't change how he viewed it.

Avery winced - he could tell that his words affected the other boy. "I'm sorry, Tim." If he hadn't been sitting, his tail would have curled between his legs right now. As it was, his ears were pressed back against his head - the tail would have completed the picture, making him look like a wounded puppy.
"It's just, we haven't known each other for that long, you know?" Avery silently prayed that he didn't royally screw up his chances. He never did know when to keep things to himself. "********, I'm sorry," he sighed, getting angry with himself. "I didn't mean to - hurt your feelings or anything. I just wanted... I didn't want you to believe... oh, hell, I don't know. I just don't know when to shut up sometimes. Like right now. I keep talking, and I'm telling myself to shut up, but why am I still talking? It's like my mouth isn't listening to my brain. I just - I... well... I'm - sorry," Avery mumbled the last two words with a blush on his face. He knew he had just started babbling there, but he wanted Timothy to understand.
