The Rainbow Quail circled around overhead, and then dove at a familiar target. It wasn't long before he perched on her shoulder.
Victory music played! Hypnos has acquired a tiny rainbow quail companion!
Unfortunately Quail's powers did little in this domain, but he sure was cute looking!

It seemed that the more they ran, the faster they went... they had already gotten to a point where their feet were moving more quickly than they ever had before, even when powered up! It was exhilirating. Except for one thing... it looked like there was danger ahead. The island they were headed for ended in a sheer cliff, with no rainbow road around to take them to the next one! If they wanted to continue the race, it looked like they would have to make a leap of faith!!Roll TWO 20-sided dice to make your jump!

Ares made her move, and Scylla tensed, waiting for action. The song, as degraded as it had become, was in the back of her mind, and for Scylla the almost-companionable race had suddenly become... become... Her mind pointed out enemies, even the ones who were making her smile. None of them would hesitate to rip out her starseed, given the chance, and she was becoming far, far too relaxed. She had let her tentacles fade away long before, and now she picked up her speed, flinging herself between the two negaversers in front of her and sprinting towards the front of the pack.
She had to be closer to be any kind of effective.
They were coming to the edge of a cliff, and Scylla felt her throat close. She always had sucked at the long jump. Still, she flung herself into it, and prayed.

Scheelite had no problems with making this leap of faith. Though really, Scheelite was high as a kite off stolen energy and DREAM WORLD and <******** rainbows everywhere hell yes this was the best thing ever.
Oh yeah. Still singing about Zinkenite and his LOVEEEE.

Dioptase continued to run, doing her best to tune out all the awful singing, and trying her god damn best to stop singing herself.
It wasn't working very well. It was like the urge was... unsurmountable.
She saw the end of the road, and gathered what she had to do quicky - she dashed, hoping to gain momentum along the way...
...and smacked Castor as hard as she could before launching herself into the air.
Butt-winged b***h needed to leave Tanzanite alone. Maybe he would fall and the whales would eat him ?

Sailor Nemesis was pointedly trying to run from everyone else, because everyone else was ******** out of their minds. Who cared if Ares "|:<" at her later? It looked like the leader of the BMC was distracted enough, so maybe Nemesis would be able to avoid an hour of preaching. (It probably wasn't as dreadful as that, but Nemesis was in a mood for over-dramatics).
Whatever. She was running, and it felt great. Right now, outside of the realm of Elysion, she wouldn't be able to do this. She would probably still be limping around. So, this was definitely a step up... until she saw that the island was going to have an abrupt end.
Of course, that was her luck. She felt like if she stopped running now, she'd never be able to reach this speed again. Hell, she'd be stuck in the midst of all the crazies, and that was something she just would not do. Nemesis was stupid, but not that ******** stupid. So, she ran faster, and as she reached the beginnings of the cliff took a huge leap for her life.
She hoped she didn't die. Wait, if that meant she'd wake up, that wouldn't be a bad option either.

The air was intoxicating. With all the rainbows around her, Ares could not be mad, or angry. She still hungered for victory, but the thought of it made her giggle. She continued to whack away at Tanzanite's grip on Requiem, giggles spilling out of her with every passing second. When she saw the cadet slip away, Ares paused to help her to her feet.
"It's okay, Requiem," she said, grinning ear to ear. Who the ******** was this person? "Let's hold hands and jump together." No seriously... who the <******** was this person?
Ares reached a hand out to Requiem and then took a leap of faith. It was possible she even murmured a low, "Wheeeee~"

Okay,Wolframite couldn't say things couldn't get worse. They just did. If heights weren't bad enough. If all the colors he disliked weren't' bad enough. If CASTOR BEING ALIVE AND SINGING OFF KEY WASN'T BAD ENOUGH – the unease around heights was not rewarded with a lovely drop off to the orca-filled sea below. This place was a nightmare, and as exciting as it was to run at Looney Tune Speeds, he wasn’t about to clack his heels together and go 'Beep-Beep' anytime soon. More like EEP!
He wanted to do a dead break, but it was too late for that now. At such a fast speed, he was sure he'd catch on fire if he slammed his heels down, so he did what any crazy lunatic would do. He jumped, and then looked up and wished he kept that wish from before. He just wanted to land!

Janus was still running. He didn't seem to be making any ground, rather he felt like he was in the same position during what he saw was a race. He didn't like this. He liked to win. He looked ahead. There was no road. So what, that wasn't going to stop him. When he came to the drop Janus leaped as far as he could, hoping it would be enough.
