Popo got her canvas and paints and began painting. She painted her home from her former life. She put careful detail into each part. The tatteredness of her home, the vibrant colours of the flowers in her private garden surrounding the house, the animals that she most dearly loved and cared for--even the small babies, all of these things were descriptively and vibrantly portrayed in her painting. Popo couldn't help but shed a tear. It reminded her of her home and the memories she had of her family now passed. She wiped it away.
Though the painting was not perfect, it was still beautiful. Popo had painted as a little girl, taught by her mother. During the periods between harvest, Popo and her mother had painted, sang, and danced. Popo had learned the arts from her mother and was quite good. This was evident in how well she painted.

Kitsune_Fox Tohru stopped sketching her fox and bit her bottom lip. Landscapes? Oh no.... She raised her hand showing Tora she needed her help. "Yes Tohru?" she smiled.

Tohru smiled sheepishly. "Onee-sama...I'm afraid I'm confused. How are we to do the landscapes?"

"Oh, yes!" Tora went to her desk and got a stack of magazines. "First you'll need a picture," she smiled. "Look through here and find a landscape you like," she smiled.

Tohru smiled looking through the magazines. It didn't find her long to find the one she wanted. It was a of a temple next to a grove of cherry blossom trees.
"I like this one, Onee-sama," she explained holding it up.

"That's beautiful!" Tora exclaimed. "You may start now!" she smiled. Tora ripped the page and gave it to Tohru then took the magazines back to her desk. She walked around to observe the other students. She walked past Popo and saw her work. "That's beautiful Popo-chan," Tora said. "The lighting is wonderful!" Tora could tell, because of the detail, Popo put a lot of love into this one.

Popo looked to Tora and, in response, said, "Thank you, sensei. It is...rather..was my home." Popo paused for a moment, looking away, before she looked back at Tora and continued, "Thank you again for your praise, sensei." Popo smiled to her. She was both happy and sad. Her emotions pulled her both ways. In one direction, she was sad over the loss of her family and home, of everything familiar to her. In the other, she was happy that this new life was good to her. All the wonderful things that she was experiencing made her so happy. Popo was confused as to what to feel and simply felt everything in confusion.

Tora placed a gentile hand on Popo's shoulder and gave her a kind smile; She understood what it was like to have to leave home.

Ariku smiled as she looked at her unfinished picture of her home in France. She picked up some paint continued with the bricks covering the ground.

Tohru took a cloth and dipped it in pink paint. Dabbing it on the campus, she gave her cherry blossom trees a more surreal feel. She smiled and picked up her brush to paint the bridge.

Reijin smiled softly at the cranes she had painted. Dipping her brush into white paint, she delicately trailed it across the canvas, adding ripples where the cranes gently skimmed over the water's surface.

Tohru looked at her painting for a moment, exaiming her progress. She was having trouble with creating the shadowing that would make it come to life. She raised her hand to ask Tora-onee-sama how to do it correctly.
