"Try not to disturb him.He's...in a bad place now."Dove said,her white fire wings emerging from her back.After cradling the younger male,the female vampire headed west.
"If we can locate Ravenca,we might have a fighting chance here."the elderly vampire,known as Vlad spoke.He had tattoos,which meant that he was a primeval type.Bronze gauntlets on his arms were a sign of warrior status in Varina,despite his distaste in armed combat.As they headed off,Vlad shared with Vane the wisdom of the ages,then told him something that froze the youth to his very core.
"...my grandson...he's not what you think he is."

 Vane Nykyrian Wade Vane bit back a protest as Sifen was taken from his arms, following the group as they traveled, listening to the older male speaking to him. At the males last words Vale tilted his head slightly, a very fox/wolf like confused look coming over him. Something that would have caused his ears to twitch if he had still been in his part wolf form. "W-What do you mean by that Sir? I know of s-some of his differences for I have seen them since being with him, but I do not know what you mean."

"...he's cursed.While most of us grew up here,he grew up in the human world,abused by his sire.After coming to Varina...many vampires spat on him."Vlad sighed.
Upon walking up the stairs,Dove held her breath.Many of Ravenca's friends didn't want her son to come back,especially since he was a revolutionist who wanted to assassinate the Fuhrer.And well...they could smell him from the house.
"Get the trash off your doorstep,Ravenca.I can smell executioner's trash all the way from here!"one woman vampire said.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane nodded his head slightly, remembering some of what Sifen had told him about his curse and his life. "He spoke to me a little about his life and his curse. He...he knew I needed some hope, for I am also cursed in a sense. I am not like those of my pack, and was also abused from the day of my birth." Van'es spine suddenly went straight as he heard the insults being thrown at Sifen, but knowing that he could make matters worse he once more bit back any response he would have thrown back at those who dared to talk down about Sifen. Though Vlad and any others near him could tell that he was growing angry as time passed and more insults were thrown at Sifen, by the growls that were emanating from his throat. (())

"Vane,calm down.Mother has friends who hate me more than ever now."Sifen whispered as Dove let him down.His grandfather only nodded and held him close,knowing that things might get worse.
The door opened and the ladies were chattering away,mainly cheering for the Fuhrer.
"Come in,come in.I got my son's message."a redhaired woman in a black Victorian dress said,ushering them inside.Once everyone was there,she looked at them with tears flowing down her face.Apparently,this sadness caused a younger girl to come downstairs.
"Mommy...are you okay?"she whimpered.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane looked to Sifen as he spoke in an almost silent tone, knowing that Sifen could hear him perfectly fine. "Do not w-worry Sifen...I will do n-nothing to make m-matters worse..." Vane closed his eyes for a few seconds and took a few deep breaths before following Sifen and the others into the keep. He looked about the room, but focused his thoughts towards Sifen, praying Sifen could still hear his thoughts. 'S-Sifen, the only reason I am k-keeping myself in check right now is because of you and those with us. I do not w-wish to cause harm to fall on any of you, so I will keep silent and keep to myself. Though I will not lie, I wish to tear those who insulted you limb from limb.' Vane stood close to Sifen, but far enough away so as not to draw any unwanted attention to himself and Sifen. Those in their group knew he cared for Sifen in some way, though he wasn't sure if they suspected he cared for him deeply. So in front of everyone he was going to pretend like he was just a friend and protector, though he would never make it seem like he was doing anything more then watching and listening, and helping to support Sifen whenever needed. (())

"Familiar,can you clean yourself up?I just cleaned the house."Ravenca said,pointing to Vane's dirty feet.Vlad went to console his granddaughter,but she broke away and went to see her injured brother.
"Amne,let him rest.He's barely alive at this rate."Knight said softly.It pained both of them to see how weak the youth was,but given how much he suffered through the years,it was shocking on how he survived.The pigtailed girl clasped her hand into his,then sighed.
Dove returned with some cakes and tea,then looked at what Amber was reading."So many martyrs..."she whispered

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane bowed his head in answer to the women that was Sifen's mother, remembering how much Sifen loved her and the pain he had felt when her picture had started to fade. "Yes Ma'am, as you wish." Vane quickly turned around and stepped outside to wipe off his shoes. Once they were clean he stepped back into the house and walked over to Sifen's side to help support him after Vlad had left his side. He made it so he was not in the way to much so he could still interact with his family. But Vane stood next to Sifen with an arm around him to help support him in the same fashion that Vlad had been supporting him. Vane still remained silent unless spoken to by anyone directly, sending a few reassuring words to Sifen mentally from time to time. At one point he mentally asked Sifen if he needed to sit down or if he needed anything to eat or drink. He would willingly offer Sifen his blood, he would even willingly offer his life if he knew that it would save Sifen, though he didn't say that to anyone, not even mentally said those words to Sifen. He knew that Sifen knew he cared for him, that he was interested in him, but he didn't want to give Sifen that knowledge just to be rejected again. The first time had hurt, and he knew that after spending more time with Sifen, that if he was rejected again it would kill him so to speak. (())

"How long have you known my son?"Ravenca asked,sipping from her tea.She knew her son meant well,but given the war,it was causing conflict,given how loyalties could mean disbanding from the other vampires.
The elder looked at Vane."You're safe here.She's just on alert because the Fuhrer often patrols this part of our land."

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane looked to Sifen and then back to his mother before speaking in a calm soothing tone, trying to show that he meant no harm and wouldn't do anything to bring harm to Sifen or anyone else he cared about. "Ma'am, I have only know Sifen for a few months, but my loyalty lies with him fully." With those words and his free hand Vane pulled up on his pants to show the scar running all the way around his left ankle. "He saved me from certain death either by hunters or my pack. For that I have been with him and have done my best to protect him and make sure he remained happy." Vane looked to Sifen and smiled slightly before turning his attention back to Sifen's mother, a small blush covering his cheeks. "I even made a portrait for him when his last remaining picture of you started to fade Ma'am. I know a little of what is going on in this place and I will do what I can to insure that he remains safe." (())

"You seem like the kind of boy my son falls for.I'm glad you help him so much...given his exile."she whispered.After explaining everything,a loud knock could be heard.Ravenca got up and peered through the window.
"Head to the attic.Both of you.A soldier is here."

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane smiled slightly and nodded her head. "Thank you Ma'am." Vane's spine went straight when he heard a knock on the front door, and quickly moved about the room after Sifen's mother had said a guard was there. "I'll keep him safe up there Ma'am, just don't let anything happen to those Sifen cares for...please. I don't wish to see him sad anymore." He whispered to Sifen's mother before moving quickly through the house and up to the attic. Once he had Sifen laying down on a soft surface Vane closed the attic door and laid down slowly next to Sifen. He wrapped his arms around Sifen, trying to keep him safe and warm. "Sifen, is there anything I can do to help you feel better while we wait up here?" He asked in a very soft tone, not wanting to make much sound for fear of being heard. (())

"...shhh....they'll hear us."he said,pressing his ear to the attic door.However,the male pulled away after listening.They knew he had returned and a warrant had been issued.
Commotion could be heard downstairs as Vlad clawed at the soldier,only to be thrown back.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane sighed as he sat on the floor and closed his eyes. He listened to all that was happening down stairs, getting worried that these people knew Sifen was back. He also grew worried at what would happen to those who Sifen cared for by helping to keep Sifen safe. Vane waited there, silent, for the guard to leave, hoping it would be soon that he could get out of the attic. He didn't like small places, but he would never allow others to know of that fear. (())

"Hush,old man.Tell me where he is!"the guard snapped.A gauntlet could be heard breaking,which was not a good sign.Sifen then kicked open the door and headed for the guard.
After ripping his neck open,he smiled.This was so right.
