Europa glanced over momentarily at the boy who stood on the other side of Polaris - had they done a school project together once? Oh, probably, but he wouldn't recognize her, and now was no time to be catching up - Icicles? Really? She leapt out of the way, wincing as the spikes dug into the sides of her boots, and went looking for another rock to throw. The last one had worked well, after all!

Europa ran back to the planter and scooped up an armful of the biggest pieces of gravel she could find, then hurried back to the front lines to lob her grenades at the impostor princess.

"How were we all so stupid?" she asked no one in particular.

Good God, he had not in the least expected -that- from the snow globes. What a gross miscalculation. A clever ruse on the part of the icy giant though, he could swear he'd caught a glimpse of Demy somewhere in the crowd. Amazing that he hadn't heard him run screaming from the barely concealed boobs she sported. He very much doubted that the icy caps hid -anything- if they were placed under any sort of scrutiny. Then again maybe his fear was only a fraction of what he had implied it to be over the past year...
He found a corner that let him shift into his Captain's clothing and loaded his sling shot. He considered very briefly changing into one of the snow dancers to try and get closer to her, but that would have two negative effects, one he would become a target and secondly it would mean he had to try and engage in close combat with only smoke pellets and his mind to battle with. Ice, did not seem to be a particularly reasonable thing, and trying to get inside her head didn't seem likely.

Salt... that though might be useful. Or even some of that sub zero melting crystals that they spread on the pavements to keep people from slipping and suing the local business.
He considered summoning his Yoma as well and trying to find a safer place to stand where he might try and organize the attacks to more effect but with the -swarm of senshi about he doubted that would work either.

He found a few chunks of brick that had scattered from the volley that had been launched and loaded one into his slingshot and fired. The Crimson crystal felt odd pressed as it was into his hand but he could not risk it being seen.

"I wouldn't say -stupid-, I'd say hopeful."
Regulus hadn't been expecting the text, though things had been.... getting weird. He just wished he'd decided to come out sooner, but he'd been distracted, probably like everyone else, with the promise of the pretty snow globes and their haunting little tune.
That and, well, he had homework.

It was kind of embarrassing that you'd been trying to get an essay done when everyone else was apparently -trying to save destiny city-, but then again teachers didn't always understand 'save the world' when your grades were slipping. This however might just get them a snow day. Snow Day. Ha.
And here he'd been hoping to go on a little vacation.

"Sorry, Europa!" He apologized, wishing he'd been here sooner. "Why don't the bad guys ever call ahead?"

He had meant to find the owner of the voice as soon as they made themselves known but it hadn't happened. It was hard to get away from family and friends when you were suppose to be celebrating. Christmas was a time to spend with family and not to be running off because a snow globe told you something. If his aunt and uncle knew they'd lock him away for being insane.

Yet there he was, running across roof tops once he'd managed to free himself from the festivities. He could hear the sounds echoing over the city as he neared the square. Shouting, screaming ... the sounds of a battle caused his feet to skid in the snow as he came to a dead stop. He wasn't really a fighter but could he really leave whoever it was down there alone because so much noise frightened him?

Shaking his head he pushed on until he could see the chaos that was boiling in the square. Senshi and strangers in military uniforms and civilians all gathered around attacking ....

Ice. A woman made of ice stood in the center of attention. He could hear her speaking but couldn't make out words. Was that the princess? No. Senshi were attacking her. He couldn't fathom why they would ever attack their princess.

Lifting the lantern and flipping open the door he pulled a starter stick out of his belt and stuck it in the flame. He knew his attack couldn't be aimed and there was no telling who or what he'd hit but at least it meant doing something while he observed.

Blowing on the flame the orbs of fire arched down off the roof toward the icy woman and those around her.

"s**t, you're right," Nemesis breathed softly, doubt beginning to sink into the pit of her stomach. Sure, Nemesis doubted throwing a rock at the Ice b***h would've done much, but a lot of other senshi had used half-way decent attacks. If the Ice b***h were just a youma, she would have been obliterated by now. Instead, she was standing firm as ever, with strength and energy that just didn't seem like it would be waning. "Today is going to be such a bad day," she grumbled to Alkaid. Nemesis was going to be returning home with fingers so frostbitten that there was going to be no way the doctors could save them.

An icicle shot up from the ground between them, and Nemesis quickly side-stepped out of the way. That Alkaid hadn't completely dodged the icicle only gave Nemesis more reason to be grouchy as ********. "Watch the hell out! I don't think I was planning on having you impaled by a giant icicle. I think we're going to need all the help we can get." Of course, she could be attacking rather than talking, but Nemesis was trying to wrap her head around coming against such a strong enemy.

This battle was so not ******** fair.

Nemesis wanted a weapon, needed a goddamn weapon, and it was one of those times she'd rather be a Negaverser. They could attack relentlessly, while Nemesis had one attack that she wasn't willing to use just yet. She had a bad habit of holding onto things until the very last minute, until she desperately needed to use a little bit of senshi magic to win the battle.

The Senshi of Decay was already bending back down to the icy ground to retrieve another rock, her eyes scanning the area for anything that would be more effective. Like... that boomerang thing. Goddamn, what she would give to have a vicious looking boomerang to chuck at an enemy. It'd be a whole lot ******** easier than relying on her own attack, which would be good for only a few seconds. Wait a second. Her gaze cut sharply over the surrounding senshi and negaversers, locking briefly, sharply on Hematite.

"At least," she noted loud enough for Alkaid to hear, "He's not stuck to me this time." It was a step up in her book, and so long as the dude was attacking Ice b***h, she was more than happy to stem the temptation to use her attack on him. It might have been worth it, to see his stunned expression, but in the end she had better things to focus on.

Screw the damned pebble, they needed to do a major number on this b***h, and Nemesis shouldn't be 'saving things for later', no matter how much she had ingrained it in her mind to fight that way.

Fayalite was there for the fiasco, late to react.. but there. She had five of the snow globes herself, all of which were placed on the fountain.. all of which contributed to whatever this...princess ice tata's was bringing to the game.

From the looks of the ice that was traveling around... oh and the MOB of senshi and negaversers, it was not good.

The snow globes had caused her to be in a semi dream like state for the past few weeks.... a dream like walk making her half here, half not. It was a nice feeling, that drove her on to want even more snowglobes... she tried multiple times to get many of them, she even got her Captain one in a random raffle...to his great displeasure. Yeah, she still had a few healing bite wounds from his youma after THAT one.

All that mattered now though, was it felt like waking up from a bad dream... something that left the brunette even crankier than usual.

Plus, this battle was just NOT fair.

It was as if they were all little mice circling around something huge, blue, and wanting to stomp on tthem. Hell she wasn't sure why the ice queen hadn't tried that one yet. Oh wait, ice is sharper and a lot more painful... good choice of weapon. Can stab things and melt to remove the evidence...

Why was Fayalite giving her credit again? Screw this, this world was THEIRS not some popsicles! Summoning her lantern from the subspace, she moved to whack at the ice woman.

Sticks and stones may break one's bones, but words were doing more to irritate Kaguya than the attacks were. All the rocks and sticks, ornaments and icicles -- glanced right off of her, barely even leaving scuff marks on her glacial body. The pollen cloud Flora summoned had stuck itself unattractively to the princess's side, leaving her scowlingly calling forth a new flurry of snow for the express purpose of brushing it off. Nemesis' paralyzing attack did something to slow some of the snow falling around them, but stopped short of having any effect on their foe.

Merope flailed helplessly off an ethereal fold of Kaguya's cloak, his screams for help audible across the entire square. Before Atlas could help him, though, she had noticed with a sneer of indignation -- and with a hand closing over the senshi's arm, unceremoniously broke him off and tossed him aside before allowing one of the dancers to magically repair the tear he left behind.

The princess was standing high above them all now, poised delicately and yet threateningly on top of her throne. And what a throne it was: as larger-than-life as anyone who dreamed of being a queen could ever wish for, carved magically from unblemished ice. The edges of the fountain could be seen underneath it in faint silhouette, with just enough visible within to indicate that, miraculously, it had suffered no damage.

"Fools, all of you..." she hissed over the howling over the wind. "You believe you can defy your new ruler so easily? I'll show you--"

But something made her stop short of continuing her monologue, and with a look of puzzlement brought a sharp-fingered hand to her face. It was a strange sight indeed, considering that no one so far had managed to hit her there, projectile or otherwise... but there it was. A small crack had split into one of her cheekbones. How it had gotten there, it was hard to say, but it was no surprise at this point that it would make Kaguya angry.

Her eyes narrowed, and her hands spread wide in half-curled fists, and her voice was more foreboding than the wind itself when she spoke her next words. "How dare... you damage... my beautiful face?!" The temperature plummeted with each word she uttered. If it was unbearably cold before, it was outright deadly to be outside now; the slightest breeze had gotten painfully frigid, and it even hurt to breathe. With another sweep of the arm, a miniature snowstorm followed.

This was just like the halloween ball - that is, too much. Too many other people, too many noise for him to bear. Themis had narrowly escaped the icicle rise, with one of the rows having risen right next to him.

At least now, he knew - if he kept on doing this, not ownly he'd been utterly useless, but he'll probably wind up hurt again. So he let his arm down, his aura collapsing with it.

When the temperature pummelted, Themis improvised himself some face-coverage with his scarf. Did he look retarded ? Yes, yes he was. But at least he wasn't freezing to death, even if the air ran horribly cold in his lungs.

His next action was to kick the icicle that had risen right beside him, sending sharp shards straight back to sender. Could ice even hurt her ? That was one way to find out.

What the hell-

This was-

HOLY s**t.

This was pretty much all that ran through Ashley's mind. This was just like the youtube videos of the halloween ball had showed !

Just her luck that she would walk right in the middle of a terrorist party. Seriously. Maybe it was how they celebrated ? And what the hell was that b***h ?!

The purple-haired girl had found what she had hoped to be a safe spot behind one park bench. Maybe if she was silent, no one would notice her ?

"ACTUALLY, THAT'S CERTAINLY AN IMPROVEMENT, YOU LOOK LESS LIKE A RED DISTRICT SKANK NOW, DIPSHIT !"

Ashley, unfortunately, wasn't sober enough to do silent.

Oh hell, what a horrible time to be wearing a senshi uniform. The protection it offered just didn't seem enough in the face of such an arctic blast, and Regulus wished his powers provided him just a touch more heat. At least enough to make it feel as though he weren't starting to freeze from the inside with every breath, especially when he needed to attack.

He wasn't sure that he would even be able to do much, or if her magic would protect Kaguya from his, but there didn't seem to be any choice other than to attack or freeze solid.

"Noble Claws of the Lion!"

With his increase in Senshi rank, his attack had gotten an upgrade too, although this was his first time actually field testing it. Ironic that he'd be chucking it against something so terrifyingly powerful that it made the slight boost to his flashy 'claws' seem like throwing a bunch of cinders at an snowman.

<WHY couldn't it have been the real princess?> He thought, in frustration. After all the whispered promises from the pretty snowglobe, this was like finding out that the package under the tree you thought had been 'the perfect gift' was full of wolverines with rabies.

"Glad you could make it, Regulus," said Europa quickly, choosing to fall back a bit. Any senshi would could shoot claws of fire out of his hands was a friend in deed, although she was exceedingly fond of him under normal circumstances as well.

"Didn't you know? Evil doesn't care that it's Christmas!"

Saving the city from an alien menace? All in a day's work. Europa shifted her hold on the rocks in her arms and took aim with another. "We'll damage a lot more than your face!" she called, and threw.

Alairi had been late to the square, fighting with herself for over an hour before finally opening the door of her hotel room and leaving, clutching her snowglobes to her. The disadvantages of people she knew possibly seeing her had been waved aside in favor of doing what the pretty little trinkets ordered.

And by the time she'd reached the town square, it was utter chaos. Negaverse officers and senshi seemed to be fighting togehter against a rather large, and horrendously dressed giantess. A giantess, she noted, who did not seem to be affected by all the attacks flying at her.

As quick as thought, Alairi transformed into Bixbyite and ran a hand through her short, demented peacock hair and gnawed at her lower lip as she considered the situation. Nothing was hitting her, and frankly, Bixbyite didn't like this things claims to the throne of Earth. She was even more certain that Beryl would like it less. And for that matter, where was Beryl? Surely one of the captains or generals would have found a way to apprise her of this by now? Or maybe not. She didn't possess the trick of transporting herself to and from Beryl's throneroom, so her going was out of the question. Besides, she didn't really want to be face to face with her Queen right now. Not when she was plagued by so many doubts.

The cold, shrieking woke her from her musing as she turned wondering eyes to the giantess. Well well. Something had gotten though and marked her. And shown a possible weakness. Bixbyite prided herself on looking for and spotting possible weaknesses.

Moving quickly, she found a rock buried in the snow and quickly wrapped the end up her ribbon around it. Then, schooling her expression into one of sweet servility, she skipped through the writhing bodies and icicles until she was standing within feet of the giantess. She knew that some of her compatriots would want to skin her for what she would say next, but she hoped that they'd understand the ruse and not ruin it.

Holding her ribbon like a jumprope and skipping in place, she hid the rock weighted end and simply smiled demurely up at the monster.

"My word, you are an interesting one. Are you really Earth's ruler? I never knew we had a ruler!" Bixbyite babbled innocently, allowing admiration tinged with respect to color her voice. She would have to time this just right... And pray it worked. But even as she prattled in admiration, she felt her stomach knot. "Are those pretty little dancers yours? I met one of them and she danced with me. I am a very good dancer you know."

Now she began to twirl amongst the icicles, leaping and pirouetting closer and closer, using her ribbon as harmless embellishment. Then, when she judged she was close enough, her amiable expression vanished into one of anger. The rock weighted ribbon sliced through the air, aimed directly at the ice giantess' face.

"I already have a Queen," the tiny lieutenant hissed. "And you are nothing compared to her!" Then, in a louder voice, she cried out to the other people fighting. "Aim for the b***h's face!"
