Jack! These creatures just kept coming. They hadn't even done anything yet. Eracs wondered why such creatures were also in this area and not living with them in their town, they'd fit in much better. As he was thinking, he almost ran into a tree.
Straightening out he followed after his friends. "We've got around a day's journal right?" He grinned. "You guys are too fast, slow down!" After all he was just straw and timber!

Ren was cold. And wet. And hungry. And tired. Not to mention that he kept shifting - most uncomfortably, and much too often between gryphon and human; a fact that was causing him quite a bit of irritation. That, and he dropped his bags each time he changed.
Oh, and the sneeze.
"Aaaacchooooo!"
That was just a bother. Ren rubbed his reddened nose, sniffing a bit as he tugged uselessly on his shirt, attempting to pull down his sleeves at an attempt for more warmth. The Icy Path was certainly cold - make that freezing - and he was not, to say the least, the slightest bit pleased about his choice in taking it.
What am I doing here again? "VAITH WHERE DID YOU GO, DAMMIT."

Hopefully he'd shift to his wolf form, he sort of liked the idea of running free on four legs through the snow. He'd be much warmer, even though he had a jacket on, in his world form. His fur was nice and thick not to mention extremely soft.
"You might be able to, since you can fly, but that's only for now. If you were human I'd have you! And if I shifted...you'd be hard in human form and maybe in bird form." he called looking up, and over his shoulder, at Draven.
"Sorry Eracs! I'm just excited, but I'll try and slow down." Though not by a lot. He couldn't much help it though he was excited to get going and maybe get into a fight. He'd yet to and he wanted to try the snowball launcher.

Aksaja looked up when it seemed like more people were approaching - witnessing a couple more battles take place not too far away. Glancing back at the two he was 'guarding', the dragon contemplated going and seeing who these new people were. It only took him a moment or two to decide that yes, he was going to do that. Guard duty was getting boring now - even though he'd fought off one monster. If there were more, he'd just run back over here. That was easy enough.
With that thought, the dragon took off through the snow toward the newest arrival, apparently some kind of gryphon - as he'd seen the other shift (and heard the girly screech to boot haha). Just as Aksaja tramped up, the feathered boil defeated the snow-thing attacking him, and a present tumbled out. Seemed all of these things had loot ... which was kind of awesome.
"Welcome to ice-land," Aksaja half-drawled, waving a bit. The other didn't look too badly hurt, even after all of that - which was good. This path seemed to be pretty tough.

Sometime along the way, Vaith had tripped and fallen unconscious. Ren tripped him-- although the blasted male didn't know it. When Vaith woke up, it was with a pounding head and on the ground.
Apparently, he had missed Ren's epic battle with Frosty the Snowman. He sat up, hand rubbing his head. Oh great-- everything felt damp. Even his cape.
"Ren, you there? Are you still doing that shapeshifting thingee?" He called out, still a little disoriented as he struggled to stand. "You just had to go and drag me with you. What, polite manners couldn't inspire you to ask?

Draven laughed again, then fluttered to a landing on a rock. "Yeah, Eracs, I think you are right. We might nearly be off this path!" He had no trouble slowing down, so far, this path hadn't been too bad. A bit cold, but with his feathers that wasn't too much of a worry.
He chuckled at Alerick, who was clearly excited. Maybe they could have proper footrace someday, back at school.
It seemed they were moving along alright, though. He hoped they would make it off this path quickly, and safely. With those monsters that had been showing up...well, getting off the path safely would be nice. Who knew what was waiting in the next leg of the journey.
((Work will keep my from posting my exit post~Draven can catch up later!))

Gabrian watched as Alessa squirmed her way partially free of his arms, (not that he was holding her THAT strongly), and turned to wave at the approaching boil, "I wonder what made them decide to come this way. I'm rather certain most of my car had picked the other route when I got off Quarria's back. I was sure I'd be miserably alone up here," turns out he'd been wrong. Not only was there quite a numberous group gathering around them, but he actually knew quite a handful of the students. When Johan approached, he offered the other boil a mild smirk, "Good job," he obviously meant the way he'd swiftly dispatched of the snowman, "You did a much better job than most of the others," instantly, his gaze turned to watch Quarria as she fought, his smirk vanishing, replaced by a scowl. The larger serpent was taking quite a beating, which Gabrian figured might have a lot to do with the cold; she was obviously distracted for something or other. The nix simply couldn't figure out what, in Jack's name, was making the large serpent feel so distracted. She'd even had to use her bells. He hadn't been aware she'd had those! Thus, he cupped one hand around his mouth and yelled out to Quarria, "Hang on there! You can do it, Quarria! Show it whose boss!" alas, the moment he said this, he felt a familiar tugging sensation in the pit of his stomach, and before he could do anything to stop it, he was a rather large, grumpy looking Serpent on the snow, coiled up around a smallish rabbit, "Oh, bugger," He was roughly python sized, and figured that if he remain curled up around Alessa, he might smother her, so he swiftly uncoiled his body from around her and set his head on the floor so he was not looking over her, "I'm sorry, my dear... I really can't control it. We're probably going to either have to brave the snow now, or hope Quarria's offer to ride on her is still on," he shivered slightly coiled up in an attempt to maintain his body warm.

"I only knew people that wanted to come this way because...well, usually water related fears," Alessa commented, seeming to share his amazement at the amount of people here. "Even then most of them went the other way anyway..." Like poor Julian. He had written that he was terrified of drowning and yet...he wasn't here, so unless he went down Candy Cane Lane too...Jack she hoped not.
Seeing that Quarria was still struggling, Alessa decided to join Gabe in his calls of support. She just wished she could do more. She felt terribly useless. "Come on Quarria! You're big and tough and beautiful, you can show him~!" She was about to say something else when suddenly she was plopped in the snow amongst a ring of serpent coils. When Gabe uncoiled from around her she shook herself, getting some of the snow off her fur. She then hopped over to where he recoiled, commenting sympathetically, "Trust me, I know how it feels." Seeing him shiver, she moved over to lean against the coil closest to his head, while she looked out at the on going fights, "It's not fair...I just wish I could help."

As Raziel began the arduous task of climbing the mountain path he slipped often. The entire way was coated in ice, making it impossible to gain traction and stay in control. He noticed it was much much colder here, but he tried to keep his mind off of it. He folded his arms over his chest and pulled his body closer to its center to keep in the heat.
He was fairly certain he would not catch up to anyone who had already taken this path, but he trudged on anyway.

Moving on instinct and self preservation, the serpent moved so that he was pressed against the much smaller rabbit, rubbing his head on her pelt. Almost as if that small movement would somehow warm his whole body up, "What's not fair?" he followed her gaze towards where Quarria was struggling and his scowl deepened, "That's not the right question at this point. I'd like to know IS fair about any of this. The place is cold as all hell. We're freezing to death. We can't control when we shift... we can't even use our FEAR here," he huffed slightly, his tongue slipping out and back in as he tasted the air, "None of this is fair at all. I wish I could use my FEAR. It'd have been helpful, I think."
A pause followed as he seemed to recall something and Gabrian's features darkened, "Also, my violin broke. That stupid train crash," he hissed disapprovingly, "The most we're probably going to be able to do is moral support," his body moved again, hoping that movement would keep him warm and he curled in a semi arc around Alessa, "I wish I'd grabbed one of those bells."
