Huni Pi Chobi_Chocobo Huni Pi Chobi_Chocobo Huni Pi Petro's eyes widened at the voice and immediately leapt back, managing to avoid the tree's attempt to hug him. Mid-jump, he twisted his body so that when he landed a few feet away, he was facing the offending foliage. "Even if I am, can't right out trust trees that attack us." He narrowed his eyes into a glare, trying to look as intimidating as possible. Difficult when he suddenly shifted to his human form but Tro shook off the sudden dizziness that came with it, trying to focus on his opponent instead. "My what fun that looks like!" The tree tries to jump but fails due to its roots. "Awwww well its harder then it looks!" HP: 32 Damage ((Tro HP: 23)) The dizziness seemed stronger than usual, possibly because of all this Jack Damned JOY the tree practically reeked of. He tried to reach for his snowlauncher but the sudden upheaval of the ground resulting from the tree's failed attempt to jump caused the fallen weapon to roll out of reach. He instead charged at the tree, aiming at its roots. For all the good that would do him in his human form. The tree smiled and clapped his branches. "Oh this is a fun game huh!" HP: 3No damage ((Petro HP: 23)) Petro's brown eyes widened in disbelief at the tree's statement (and seeming invincibility, but Jack damn those roots were tough). "A game!? This is a game to you!?" He glowered, his temper beginning to rise as his feet pawed at the snowy ground the way a horse preparing to stampede would. Seriously? Was this tree mocking him? Petro didn't take kindly to being mocked. "Hey now I think your playing a little rough. I think you need a time out!" The tree reaches for Petro. HP: 1No damage

Sure he wasn't a fully grown stallion (yet) but he was no foal!

"Nice hit!" He called. Looks like Petro was going to be just fine. Or he hoped so anyways. That tree was bloody persistent.
"Nah, don't need it." He assured the djinn. "It's not like I have a body temperature to help keep me warm beneath it to begin with." He pointed out. "It's all yours if you want it."

Pedros comment about using the trees branches for fire made Astra giggle. It seemed like a great idea! now all they needed was for the tree to topple and..
well, now the group couldn't make up their minds about weather to keep on moving, or to start a fire. The fae seemed a little confused and unable to give much input into the conversation. She was focusing on to many thigns at once, everything wanted to get her attention!
Once pedro was being attacked by the tree, Astra had taken to the air, hovering around the outskirts of the battle and charring him on. "Yay Pedro! you can do it!" Until it had been defeated. "You did it, You did it!" she said excitedly

Tahki was impressed by Petro's bravery taking on that annoying tree. She couldn't express much in her current form but she did give him a nod of approval. It was the best the gryphon could do right now at least.
The victory was a well earned one.

Apparently he had dozed out ((a product of Medz having watched three movies in a row, lulz)), as by the time Haku had come back into focus Petro had finished off another tree and taken the loot. "Ah, er, yes. Good job," he said, slapping his cheeks a little to get his mind back into reality. But how was it that even the short Raziel could defeat the mindless creatures quicker than the undead boil Xi?
A thought lingered into his mind: best to cut their losses with the burden and keep going . . . That was true, unfettered Haku thinking. This socializing, this unexpected invitation to friendship, this crashing train, this Jackin' headache - the inugami had almost developed a new branch of a personality from it all, and thus the original tree's thought processes was met with a disapproving frown.
How odd. He was almost disappointed in himself.
After all, the mention of leaving someone behind would no doubt put cold eyes upon him, and to be honest leaving the rather cheery boy behind would be disheartening for most of them, Haku thought. They would also be leaving behind Natalia, whom had settled into her tent not long ago.
Xi is taking too long, and the trees are starting to find us, that unsettlingly familiar part pointed out.
Biding his time, he pocketed his hands and tapped a few times on the Carol of the Bells, shivering. "Should we work out a plan about what we will do after investigating the sea route?" he asked the group. "Or work on the go? Or, ah, Tahki can nod or shake her head with the suggestions."

Carol was really confused. She was only small after all. Dusting herself off and finally getting into focus, she realized that she was in a forest of some sort. She also realized that a few had not survived the crash... How sad. Walking quickly forward, trying to find people, she tripped over her arm. "Ouch!" Without any nonsense, she started to get back up. Maybe she could find that big green thing... He was the only one she'd talked to, in any case.

The first thing that came to Adelle's attention was how bright her surroundings were, the trees very unlike the scraggly, sun-starved things that occupied the outskirts of the Monster dorm. These were tall and straight, boughs weighed down with green needles that produced a smell strong enough to make her eyes water. The second thing she noticed was that it was far, far colder here than it had been on the other side, breath clouding in furious bursts before her eyes while she stretched her gloves up higher on her arms in an effort to cover any bare spots. Her serpents signaled their agreement by wiggling past the collar of her dress and hiding against her spine, contact with their chilled bodies earning a yelp from their mistress. "Stop that." She snapped, tugging on the roots and feeling them gradually loosen and shift without protest. Their shapes threaded out strand by strand until she could draw regular, silvery hair out to fall along her back and add warmth instead of leeching it. The gorgon didn't remember hearing anything about bringing a warm change of clothes, and hers weren't made for much besides a temperate climate, so anything helped. Gotta stay moving, that's all. That wouldn't be such a task, considering the potential for ambush was making her skin crawl. Staying motionless for too long would turn her into a prime target, and with her abilities locked deep within her belly, it would be worse case scenarios from here on out.
Shivering and rubbing her arms to get rid of the goosebumps, Adelle turned in a slow circle, the realization that she couldn't see any of her car members beyond the trunks of the trees bothering her only slightly. They had a head start, but she was used to being on her own, and it would be easier if she only had to watch out for herself. Fortunately, the others hadn't been very discreet about making their way toward Christmas, footprints and snapped twigs laying out an easy path to follow. Not exactly the best start to this... whatever it was. Quest? That sounded so nerdy that she rolled her eyes, even with no one around to see it.

Tahki took a claw to the snow and wrote out her thoughts.
Sea route on the go
Then the gryphon nodded. Mainly because it sounded more scenic and possibly safer. For one it sounded like the sea route would be in lack of trees and from what Tahki gathered that would be a good thing. Though these trees didnt seem to be attacking on purpose. Just... who wants a hug from a tree?
Though maybe the sea route had other dangers awaiting the gang. Maybe every way had its own dangers. The thought of that gave the gryphon shivers. More creatures worse then the living trees were major do not want.

Marushii XxEternal MelodyxX Marushii XxEternal MelodyxX Marushii XxEternal MelodyxX Xi gasped as another one of those trees blocked his path. This time it was attacking him! Xi reacted quickly though and quickly threw a roundhouse quick at the tree.
Xi: 25 HP Tree: 6 - 6 = 0. 0 Damage. 3 HP "Oh! D-d-dear! You don't give hugs like that!" The tree attempts to reach out and grab Xi with its long limbs. HP: 3 Xi dodged out of the way, but the tree scratched his arm a bit. "I don't want any hugs!" Xi leaped at him again with another kick.
Xi: 25 HP. 8 - 6 = 2 Damage. 23 HP. Tree: 4 - 6 = -2. 0 Damage. 3 HP "Aww! Someone's been having a rather bad day!" The tree quipped cheerfully, ignoring the kick and trying to grab him again. HP: 3 Even with Raziel's battle being over, Xi's battle was far from over just yet. It was no use! Xi was just too weak and he knew it... his dancing skills were of no help at the moment and if he couldn't kill this thing quickly, he was done for! Hopefully the others hadn't left him during the battle, since he wasn't exactly paying attention to anything else around him. "Why won't you die?!" Xi exclaimed almost pleadingly, lunging again with another series of kicks. The small jiang shi was now on the verge of crying, being battered and beaten by the creepily cheerful tree while his friends could do nothing to save him.
Xi: 23 HP. 8 - 6 = 2. 2 Damage. 21 HP left. Tree: 3 HP. 3 - 6 = -3. 0 Damage. 3 HP left. "Dye? Nono! I wouldn't want to ever change my color! Though... Maybe red with white stripes would help my complexion?" The tree seemed to tilt to one side to think on this, tipping to the left rather dangerously. (OOC: This is Eternal on my new account, by the way. @ n @ ) "That's not what I meant at all... but your funeral, I guess. Also, another color would look hideous on you... " Xi heeded the calls of his friends about going for the roots and lunged at the tree with another kick. They were wasting time now and if Xi didn't hurry, he would be left behind.
Xi: 21 HP. 2 - 6 = -4. 0 Damage. 21 HP left. Tree: 3 HP. 5 - 6 = -1. 0 Damage. 3 HP left.
(Sorry, I forgot to roll... OTL )

When it came to making plans..Astra wasn't a very helpful person. Especially if it involved trying to guide people somewhere. As for which option was better? She didn't have a single clue.
When Tahki said..well, wrote what she though, She was quick to agree with her. "Yes! lets do that!" she pipped up. It sounded like a plausible idea to her. The sea route needed those special passes right? that must mean it would be really exiting and cool!

Nefertari could only watch as Petro was attacked and wished there was something she could do to help! The JOY was really messing with her, she didn't like it one bit! They needed to keep moving, to get out of the forest. She tried to keep barings even if the trees did move.
