"I don't have parents," Jason said. "At least not ones that I know off. There was a guy who was like a father to me and some other street kids, but he died a few years ago."

Noah heard the bell ring and left the room. He took some turns until he found himself in another dark hall way. But Something felt different. The magic, was different. He heard a voice "Give.....Me.........." then it went silent. Noah was starting to get scared. He pulled out his wand and said "Who is there," He casted the Illumanate the Magic spell. The wand casted the spell and a shadow was down the hall. Noah had his wand pointed to it. "Who are you," It groaned and started to move to him "Give...............me...........your............power," His creaky voice said. Noah casted "Bliasto Infiro,". The NockBack jinx his sent soaring at the shadow, hit the shadow and did nothing. He started to throw more spells but that did nothing. He started to run screaming "LUPIN, FELIX, ANYONE. HELP!!"

Alex stood up she could hear Noah yelling for help and she could see the shadow,"Noah is in trouble!" Alex ran into the dark hallway,"Get away dark shadow!" Alex made a spirit hawk and charged at the shadow making it disappear."Noah are you okay?"

Noah saw that Alex got rid of the shadow. He could still here the voice "I'll..........find.........you...........Noah," Noah started to shake. "It's magic, it was dark magic. It some how was blocking my magic as if it didn't even hit him. I couldn't sense a sheild on him. How did he do it," Noah said scared. Something wasn't right, and he sorta wanted to know what that think was.

"Dark magic, shadows, simple little creatures of the dark, don't worry about it might be after me cause I'm a decendent of the Angel of Fire and Light so they want my power to take over." Alex grabbed Noah's arm,"Just learn the spirit hawk by tonight and make it appear and make stay and watch over you while you sleep, it's the only way to be protected from those things."

"Ok, I'll think this book has it," He grabbed one of the books, and teleported the others to the room. He walked on with Alex descibing the shadow. He wasn't going to tell her about the voices.....yet.

Alex listened to Noah even though she was a year younger than him she felt older, she played with her mom's necklace around her neck."Did you hear voices saying,'I want your power' cause I had the same trouble when I came here."

Noah wanted to say yes. But his lips said "No,". He thought about it and the voice said "Yes, don't listen to her," Noah wasn't as scared now, unless he saw that shadow again. "Don't worry, I'll figure out what you are," Noah thought. "Thank you, I'll practice it," Noah ran off. He was hungry and to get food.

Alex nodded then turned around to face the darkness,"You shadows shall never get through my mind or his and will make sure of that, I beat you once I can do it again." Then a voice said,"I'm that easy anymore, Alex." Alex walked back into the lunch room.

By now, Lira had already secretly burned several skirts and forced half a dozen more to jump into the laps of others in terror, as the chairs they were sitting on suddenly disintegrated into a pile of ashes. Lira could hardly contain her laughter, and eventually managed to throw away what was left of her lunch, and step into what she thought was an empty hallway, and started to relieve her well-hidden laughter. Suddenly, she heard sounds and voices from down the hallway. Lira's snickers slowly died away as she crept up to investigate.

Alex felt dizzy and left the lunch room, she could see death of her parents and her family not loving her anymore."Why don't you love me!?" Alex exhaled a big flame from her mouth and she fell down on her knees,"The shadows have returned and they want me dead."

Lira thought she saw the girl from Kyat's class collapse to her knees. Strange, she thought, what's she doing here?
"Umm.... are you okay?" Lira asked, with an edge in her voice.

Alex got up and said,"I'm fine but watch your back the shadows are back and they are looking for me and they want to kill me." Alex walked outside to a wall and sat on the wall, looking at the sky.

"Shadows?" Lira asked, a bit skeptical. "I didn't see any. Well, it's sunny out here, so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Did you eat?"
