He went very still. Gold Star. That meant Kong, Kitty, and Gwen were... here? And Gold Star was about to be as well? Anger didn't strike him this time; he just felt a little sick. Images of Kitty and Gwen hooked up the way Jessica had been flashed through his mind, and his hands clenched into shaking fists. How was he supposed to save all these people? All by himself? "Why are you--" doing this? here? telling me this? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?
"Alright, that's enough," Deadpool snapped. Spidey looked over at him blankly, his hands relaxing again out of pure surprise. "The belt is working, Webs. Get out of here and come back with backup. ... Or don't," he added with a shrug, shifting the girl in his arms once again, this time so that her head rested against his shoulder instead of flopping back. "Or, I suppose you could take option three..."
"... Um... I almost hate to ask... What's option three?" Spidey asked, still feeling strangely dazed by the turn the conversation had taken.
"Run through the base in a mad rampage, shooting all the baddies who get in your way, save your friends, and then somehow end up in one of those cells, anyway," Deadpool explained cheerfully. "That's the one I usually pick."

The little girl looked over at Deadpool and smiled a bit. "The boss lady was right. You are a lot better than the version we have. He's so boring." she said, then looked back over at Spidey. "I'd be careful if you do decide to come back. The ones in charge won't be so nice when they catch you. And to be honest...they're not really hurting anyone. I know it looks really bad. But they don't feel anything. And when the projects complete, they usually send them back home. Something about trying to be as humane as possible since there's a vengeful god-like being running around here now." she said, then shrugged. "I don't know. It must make sense to the one's in charge."

Spider-man hated feeling helpless. He could stay, stay and try to save everyone... but Deadpool was... Wow, could he even say it? Deadpool was... right. If he stayed, he'd be captured, and then Jessica would be right back where she'd started. He would have failed to save even one person. Completely silent for once, he retrieved the belt, took Jessica from Deadpool, and pushed the button.
"Oh, by the way--" Deadpool started hurridly.
{Exit U. Spider-man and U. Spider-woman to Latveria}
"-that thing is all kinds of broken... Oh." Pause. "Whoops." Another, longer pause insured, then was broken as Deadpool beamed and clapped his hands. "So! Anyone for charades?"

Rosie giggled again. She liked this version.
About that time, the doors at the end of the hall open with a crack as the metal frames slammed against the walls. A very large, muscular man wearing a black and white mask stood in the center of it. Bane stepped to the side as the Lizard slipped around him and glided down the hallway, stopping a few feet from the two in the doorway.
Rosie gripped the back of the man's shirt and curled around to the other side of him.
Bane looked at the two a moment, then walked down the hall. Behind him, a glimpse of a slimmer man with jagged metalic arms followed. They hissed, very unhappily.

Deadpool gave them a smile and a friendly wave. "Hello, ridiculous-looking people who I don't know! We were just about to play charades! ... Or maybe we were just about to go take a nap. I'm still in the process of deciding what our actions should be. Deliberating, if you will. I am deep in thought."

"Where are they?" Bane asked, ignoring the other man completely.
"Where are who?" Rosie asked sheepishly.
"Parker and Jessica." Octavious growled behind the larger man. Once they were in a larger area of the hall, he squeezed his way around Bane and glared at the others in the room. His arms hissing angrily. "Don't play games with me. I know it was Parker. Where. Are. They."
"Obviously not here." the X-like man replied. His tone bored.

"They poofed," Deadpool supplied happily, "It was just like magic! Hey, maybe Strange is back! Wouldn't that just SUCK for you guys!"

The X-like being actually seemed to be bothered by that tidbit more than the others.
"I'm sure." Octavious growled. His gaze fell on the young child. "Last time. Where are they?"
The girl retreated farther behind the other man. "I don't know..." she whispered.

Deadpool stepped in between them, crossing his arms. "Um... sooo... don't pick on kids around me if you want your spleen to stay where it is? 'Kay?" He paused for a beat, and then looked pointedly at the door. "You can go, now."

Octavious stared him down. He wasn't budging from this. Parker was gone...his clone was gone...and he had let Parker get away.
"They are no longer here." the being added. "There is no point in screaming at the wind."
Octavious glared over at the other man, back at Deadpool, then spun and marched back down the hall. "Don't think you're off the hook child." he growled
Bane watched him leave, then calmly turned back towards the group. "Did you have anything to do with their convenient exit?"

"Look. You are Batman's b***h. I don't answer questions put to me by Batman's b***h; it sets a bad precedent," Deadpool explained reasonably. He prided himself on being an equal opportunity annoy-er. Plus, he'd always wanted to fight Bane. Fightyfightyfightfightstabfunstab!

Bane glowered and marched the rest of the way into the room. Rosie let go of the man and moved to the corner of the room as Bane marched towards Deadpool.

Deadpool just grinned up at him, the smile visible even through his mask. Without turning around, he called, "Um... Guy who somehow isn't X, you might want to take the kid and get out of here for a bit; it's officially playtime."
