Howaido's Dad? San's blindfold kept him from seeing it himself so he was probably spared some mental trauma. Hopefully, the other Satetsu could also be spared from it.

Eziel walked in to meet up with the squad. it seemed odd that he would so easilly reach them. "i'm here to help. what needs doing?" he asked not aware of anything else as he had run through the forest to find the group not knowing he could easilly have just walked.

Sarus told Yaioko to be careful and stay among the top part of the trees. As they came upon the dead body, Sarus, Reiko and Jinji all had he same function happening in their bodies: Vomiting. However, they all closed their eyes and held it in and stepped over it as he followed Howaido. But when his brother called them all back to inspect the body, Sarus was shocked to see the face of his beloved mother on the dead body. As soon as the tears weld up in his eyes, they were soon knocked away by Reiko's small staff and Jinji's hilt. They pointed out what Sarus' common sense failed to see. Why would his mother's head be on such a small body and she died many years ago so it shouldn't be here anyway. Sarus rubbed the back of his head as the two small monkeys sat upon his shoulders. Sarus was quite confused when Howaido claimed to see his father. "Captain ! There is something wrong here ! If I see my mother and you see your father on the same body, then it must be a genjutsu of some sort !" Of course, Sarus knew not to raise his voice as foolishly as his captain did, but he did want his captain to calm down and retain his focus.

The Genjutsu changed form as soon as the group began to gather around the body. As Sarus commented on the illusion, the body swelled and exploded, sending out what looked to be a wall of Shuriken and Kunai to coat the area in weapons. However, when the blades would come in to contact with anything in the surrounding area, they would burst in to mist and obscure the path completely. The air would smell strongly of damp mildew, obscuring the scent of blood on the ground.

 ((OOC: Sorry all, but I just can't resist saying what Jin is about to say... lol Oh, and BTW, can we all wait on advancing things until AFTER we all get a chance to respond? I was never allowed to react to the deer.))
*As Jin heard what Howaido and Sarus had seen, he didn't look at the body to see who he saw on its face, but silently Kai'd in case they were trapped in a genjutsu. He scanned the area to see if he could make out any looming figure.*

Howaido jumped back to avoid the onslaught as he covered his face in the mist, was this a trapping technique or was it some kind of genjutsu. Didnt matter either way they couldnt travel like this, they had no sight or smell at the moment; it was just like inside the base with San.

Eziel finnally made it to the group as they seemed to be dodging something. that was when he noticed something like a black mist or wall heading everywhere. suddenly the weapons exploded into mist and he was just as confuzed as he was when he arrived.
"anyone hurt?"
he said arriving. hopefully they would recognize his voice.

It was the sound that got San moving, and listening to everyone else dip and duck to avoid a Spray of....whatever the corpse became. The smell then became that of rotting flesh, making San a little nausious but still ok to move. Hearing his brother speak of a genjutsu, San Used Kai for a moment, and relieved himself of the obnoxious smell of death and decay. Although he was speaking an idea, the ANBU realized he was probably speaking for all participating.
"we need to get out of here fast....i dont like the genjutsu......"

Howaido was already headed off, this forest was hell, and he was terrible at genjutsu, he was at a loss here and it pissed him off. He couldnt use any of his strongest techniques in this damn forest and it was a mess, but thats when it clicked and he skidded to a stop. "San, I have an idea, can you get me above the trees with your earth jutsu?" He smirked if San could get him up there and then use some type of exploding earth technique with Howaidos own fire they could cause some damage here. "Get everyone behind me, and I hope you know Doryuudan (Earth Dragon Projectile) or have plenty of explosive notes." Howaido punched his palm with his fist as he gave a wicked grin,"If you cant beat the forest then lets make some teraforming!"

Eziel sat down and entered into a meditative sleep. he would still be entierly aware but his sense of sight would be gone. he used mainly hearing to determin locations and actions. he needed to think of the situation more and from a different perspective. he focused his kai trying to find out if the things he'd learnt in the scroll he'd been given would help him. (state of controle 1/?)

With most of the group having dealt with the illusion, either mentally or through Kai, another one started affecting them. This time, the group would lose its depth perception, meaning that people would no longer know how near or far an object was in relation to them. As this happened, the sounds of two blades colliding with each other carried through the forest, and sounded fairly nearby.This was not an illusion, nor was the putrid smell of blood and death that would reach their noses as soon as they approached the next turn in the path.

at the sound of the sword clashes Eziel awoke from his trance. he suddenly found everything distorted and far off or very close. nothing seemed in the right place. he atempted to kai out of it knowing that this was a genjutsu. he continued onward carefully, keeping his eyes closed and used his hearing and his feet to determine when he needed to turn. once he did he opened his eyes as he thought that although he may have failed to kai the genjutsu he would have run away from it's source. he obviously didn't understand genjutsu well.

As Howaido began to prepare for his plan he grabbed for his wind blade and missed, it was right there though. He closed his eyes and felt for a kunai then whipped it out and threw it down in front of his feet. He opened his eyes, the kunai was not where he had thrown it, and reached out to grab it missing. So this was it then, he closed his eyes and felt for the kunai and smirked, a pitiful optical illusion and to be that they were on the awares now it was indeed simple. He remained with his eyes closed and use kai to release himself as he knew San was unaffected as always. That was when he noticed the sounds, this was not a genjutsu nor was the rotting smell, these were fresh and wouldve released with the rest of the genjutsu. "San, hold that thought, I want to go check something, you guys stay here, I dont wanna kill anyone or get any of you trapped either, Ill hold the link with you San." With that he followed the smell and the sounds, he would be immune to genjutsu as long as he kept the link with San and soon he would get to the root of this.

San listened to Both of Howaid's requests and quickly laced some hand seals but held the chakra before releasing it when Howaido needed it. He spoke through the bonds golem quickly to alert Howadio.
"ok buddy....Dont rely on it too long though. Make it quick..and tell me when...."
