Why do I, of all people, get killed blocked (?) by the loli-esque one?

Wait, how does that work? Saria blocked AND killed me?

I was protecting myself, which is what makes this weird.
If Saria rolled a kill, I was protected.
If Saria rolled a block, I lose my shield, but then she can't attack me, and from the end of day hints, nobody else attacked me. (Death by music)
The only thing I can think of is Skulltula gave her kill powers on top of a roleblock roll, but that seems strange. If yu're gonna attack someone, why take the chance of protecting them, double killing them, or investigating and finding out yu aimed wrong?
The odds of a successful and PLANNED Roleblock/Kill combo from her seem so... improbable. Even if that's exactly what happened.
And I referred to Saria as loli-esque because I've never had the urge to play OoT, and I've only seen Saria in her younger form at the start of the game.
