"That type of life isn't bad," Reed responded to her low-key explanation. Living life in a relaxed way certainly seemed like a great way to go... Though it's not like he had a choice in the matter anymore. But, having responsibility wasn't a bad thing. He actually enjoyed having someone that depended on him. Reed watched Blaire step in front of him to walk backwards. Curious to why at first. Though, not questioning a chance to look at her face to face. But after the silence, her statement through him for a loop. Curious huh?... He stopped walking for a second to think, and when he was done, he began to walk again. It's true that this had become a good chance to impress this girl... But... "My priorities are my little girl at home," He was a father first and a man second, "She's my sole responsibility in my world so I can't be bothered with little stuff that comes my way." He had to protect Erika no matter what. He would be a failure if wasn't able to raise her even though his aunt was doing so much for him.

-Blaire Vatonage-

Well that one wasn't expected. He looked pretty young actually, but teen parenting wasn't something far for Blaire. After all she took care of Rune, which Ellie had when she was a teenager. "You have a kid?" asked the young woman with a smile. It wasn't what she had expected to hear, but at least the guy wasn't one of those who practically denied the existence of his children. "How old is she?" Now it was just her daycare self taking over. She really loved kids, but considering she tended to be quite childish herself it really fit. Though now a bit of what he said was remembered. "What do you consider little stuff then?" If course a child was a huge responsibility, making anything else seem tiny. But it depended on the person she bet.

"It's surprising right?" Reed replied now putting on his playful grin, "A stud like me being a dad." And a boring one at that. House-body. Overprotective Father. Hermit Writer. Reed really was a winner wasn't he? Oh well. He enjoyed his life at least. It was better than before. Way better. "She's four" He told her, obviously putting his fingers up for visual effect. Erika was getting up there in age... Meant Reed was getting old to... Really old(twenty). Though those thoughts ended when Blaire focused on the other thing he had said. Little stuff huh? Like flies and such? Nah, for the man such stuff included bills, going to the doctor's, the news, and other such stuff that he could care less about. But to be more specific... "Relationships... and stuff like that I guess" He told her simple. Erika was the only person to give his time to, and he was going to keep it that way until she told him to stop. Although he would keep on doing it anyway. He was a man who lived for his girl.

-Blaire Vatonage-

"Little bit" replied Blaire returning that grin. It was actually, but daycare brought way odd parents that so far Reed didn't compare too. Well, so far without the child. Blaire couldn't help but laugh slightly as he said the girl's age. "Must be cute, what with that stud of a dad." Now she was just playing with him, well sort of. Mainly repeating what he said, but hey, there was some truth to it. "Ahh that kind of stuff. Well... they really are of... blegh priority" she said. She meant it, look at her two relationships, one went nowhere and the other was a train-wreck. Pure and simple. Blaire was still picking her pieces from that, so... "So the stud is off the market" continued to tease the girl. Even if the market sucked.

Reed couldn't help but feel happy at her kind of agreeing to him being a stud. Not exactly what she meant probably... But hey, a compliment is a compliment. And the man always liked being praised. Especially praise for his daughter. He laughed pretty hardily, "She's nothing less than an angel." When it came to Erika, all modesty went out the window. Though now that his mind was brought to his daughter's attention, it made it hard for him to concentrate on the conversation. He barely heard her comment on relationship priority. However, his mind came back to the 'off the market' part. "Sorry, guess you'll have to keep looking" He spoke with a small grin. She was of course joking, which made the man kind of relieved. And with that, the man felt like he was done being at the beach. He smiled and waved to the girl, "Though if I do get out of my house again, we should hang out." Reed told her as a farewell. Blaire was a nice girl, he didn't mind seeing her again. But, first came Erika. And with a refreshed mood, Reed walked off the beach, and back home.

-Blaire Vatonage-

It was nice to hear a father like that. Then again she only dealt for the most part with babies, and there was only so much those parents could boast about... Actually the parents might be the problem, not the age of the children. "That's a shame" joked the girl. Somewhat. She smiled at his words though, his farewell. "Sure, it'd be nice" she said, watching him off. Well she had a nice time, much more than she expected roaming alone. Blaire placed her hands behind her head and headed her own way home.

The beach was... decent, as Zori expected any tropical beaches to be. She wasn't much of an open water person though, and much more preferred pools that could be kept clean and free of slimy things. The water looked clear though, which was pretty good to her. Not like she would be swimming in it or anything. She'd probably be in the shade people watching. It was sort of a hobby for her. There were a lot of NPC's around, but none of them really looked the socializing type. Plus, a lot of them were sleeping or already came with friends and family.

Zori already had her sunglasses on as soon as they arrived. It was one of the only new things she got coming here, and decided to splurge on it. She wouldn't be spending much money for a while. Once she slathered the super high SPF sunscreen on herself, she sat on a towel, her knees under her chin, and got out a book. Yeah, she would definitely not be getting a tan today. She let her hair get the most of the sun while she sat there in the fetal position. Whatever Mayli was doing didn't really concern her.

The beach was fantastic, the smell of the ocean, the feel of the sand between her feet. Mayli was in awe. She looked the NPC's in curiosity, wondering what each of them were doing and wondered if anyone could actually be a friend for her. Quickly Mayli laid her pink cherry blossom towel on the sand right in the sun, and pulled out her sun tan lotion. She popped the cap and was about to squirt a large glob in her hand but then looked around. Time to pull the oldest trick in the beach hand book. She needed someone anyone to slather this white cream all over her back. Although as she looked around she could see no one that wasn't already busy. She groaned and squirted the liquid into her hand, rubbing it on her arms and neck. At first the beach had been amazing, but as she looked around, everyone was busy, and no one would spare her a second glance.

"Men.. Men... Can't get enough of... Men.. Men" Mayli hummed to herself, it would make no sense to anyone that would be listening, but then Mayli assumed no one was actually listening. After finishing she garbbed a magazine in her bag and started flipping through it. Normal girls would be looking at a fashion magazine, but Mayli wasn't obviously very normal, so her magazine was a cooking magazine. She was planning a yummy treat for Zori and her to eat. She could tell Zori was bored, and wanted to make her happy how ever she could so that Zori wouldn't leave.
"Oooh that looks nummy." Mayli flipped through glancing at the pictures and speed reading some of the ingredients to see if they were in their budget of 30$.

Kenny had finally made it to the beach, His true destination after bathing in the river. A nice cool relaxing day at the beach before he went hunting for an apartment. He found a nice little spot away from people where he could do some basic training. He was after all still a beginner with his own technique. Kneeling down he opened his suitcase and pulled a towel from within it and re closed his suitcase. Flipping the towel out he laid it carefully in the sand flatly and took a step onto it. He bowed even though no one was there and stood with his feet together and his hands clenched into fists beside his kidneys. Then in one quick movement he thrust his right leg back and to the right a bit and was almost crouching, he brought his right fist back further into his kidney's and shot his left hand up in a palm exhaling swiftly and precisely. This brings me back.He thought to himself as he inhaled deeply and calmly and exhaled just as calmly, not a care in the world over the people that might see him.

Zori didn't even notice that someone else had come to the beach. She was too absorbed in the book about chess ( which was weird, because they didn't have a chess board ) and traps to care. Her father had given it to her after he won their town's chess competition. Apparently he didn't need it anymore. For some reason, it was one of the only things she had in her bag, and she didn't want to just stare out into the ocean, no matter how pretty it was. Man, she should have brought her journal, a sketchbook, just something to do. The girl barely even knew how to play chess, let alone comprehend all this chess jargon. It was like five hundred pages, too! Who sat down and took the time to think about all this stuff? Zori was sure she would gain at least an IQ point by the time the visit on the beach was done.

The guy over there was doing some sort of martial arts, and it was distracting Zori. And not in a good way, mind you. "Hey Mayli. I'm sure you already noticed but there's a guy over there doing karate or something. Maybe you should quit talking to yourself and singing about guys and go say hi or something." She'd had quite enough with all the humming. Zori didn't get why Mayli liked guys so much. They were all rough and dirty all the time. And they smelled bad. Who in the right mind would want that over a nice smelling, soft girl? Not Zori, that's for sure.

Mayli noticed right away the presence near them. She stared, with her mouth half open. The boy seemed to be having some sort of fit. Maybe Tourette's. Mayli watched a documentary about it once, but No... that was martial arts for sure. But why would he be doing it on the beach? Mayli only half considered it, but then hoped that maybe while walking past he spotted her and decided to quietly make his move to flirt with her. That must be it! Or it was just hopeful thinking brought on my the urge to have someone love her at all times. It didn't matter, Mayli had set her eyes on this young man, and not even the lemon custard staring up at her from the glossy magazine could distract her at this moment.

"Yeah good plan..." Mayli mumbled to her sister as she got up still staring at the man doing the martial arts. Mayli walked over to the guy slowly and cautiously trying not to disrupt him, but looking for her chance to introduce herself. "Umm- Nice kicking.." She said lamely and automatically wished she could take it back.

"KYA!" Kenneth yelled as he sent a low kick out quick as he could, He now stood on his right leg partially his left leg still out in ending 'kick' form. "Oh? You really think so? Thanks!" Kenneth brought his leg up then down in a circular motion to bend it while he was on one leg still. "You like Karate?" He asked once more before sending the leg back out quick as lightning straight and tense exhaling at the same time, but the moment he made 'contact' with the imaginary being he'd be fighting it immediately relaxed and hung in stasis.

( permission from winevy to skip her in the posting order for a little bit )

'Karate actually makes me nervous, especially when he's kicking when I'm standing so close...'Mayli thought this, but aloud she said, "Oh yeah I read a book about it once, and it was quite interesting. Lots of muscle involved." Mayli was shy, she loved talking to men, but only if she knew them. This talking to strangers bit thing was awkward and she didn't even know if she was doing it right. She didn't know what to say after that, so she held out her hand, "I'm Mayli, I'm new here." Might as well tell the truth, maybe this young man could be her first real friend! Or even... Naw it was too early to start thinking about that... Too late she was. And she didn't even know his name yet.

Kenneth brought his leg down and placed it straight with his other foot after bringing his other foot in. He bowed and stepped off of his towel and grabbed Mayli's hand carefully not strongly and shook it. "I'm Kenneth Cole. Feel free to call me Kenny!" He said with a smile plastered on his face. This woman is very attractive... Kenny thought to himself blushing a little bit while he shook her hand.
