Oh, how nice, a ball! She paused to watch the ball before continuing, namely to try to convince herself that she didn't need to chase it. After all, why would she need to. No no! She was a person, not a cat! Bad cat instincts! She innocently meandered towards Aly's door then, oblivious to the gryphon stampeding towards her to get to the ball.

She was likely to become road kill.

Pueblo's eyes were narrowed in on the red ball, racing Lucius to it with speedy quickness. But before she could stop herself, there had been something black in front of her, blocking her view of her new toy. Closing her eyes, it was too late now. She rammed right into the poor, deformed Aerandir, but didn't send it flying or anything. They fell into a heap on the ground until Pueblo rubbed her head sorely against her paw. Then she realized what she had done and quickly backed away shyly, instintly sitting down and watching the other black Aerandir get up. She lowered her head below her haunches, staring with her ghostly white face.

@_@ What. a. day. She had been strangled, run into a wall, and now run over by a gryphon. Some people went their entire bloody lives without having one of these things happen to them, and today she had all three. It just wasn't worth getting up. Nowhere was safe!

... which reminded her, she still had a body to clean up at home. Gawd, her house would stink. No no! Attention on the matter at hand.

Was it just her or was the room spinning?

Fae gasped, hearing and witnessing the commotion at hand. She ran over and knelt beside Pueblo, making sure she was okay. She stroked the dizzy gryphon reassuringly to calm her down, then looked to the road-killed kitty. "Eh..maybe she had second thoughts?" She grinned, then picked her up off the ground. Fae held the cat in her arms gently, petting her between her ears. "Are you O.K?" She asked with concern. Pueblo cocked her head at her guardian. So why does the demented Aerandir get to be picked up?! She huffed, but wasn't the type to get jealous. She padded up to Fae's foot and looked up. "Maybe we should take her home?" She asked Pueblo.

"Peep?"

x__x !!! Go home with that thing that just ran over her?! Not in her nine lives! In her sheer instinctual panic she twisted, contorted, strained, and scratched her way out of Fae's arms, flopping on the floor and hiding behind Aly's door, hissing at Pueblo out of pain and fear.

Maybe if she puffed up enough, she'd scared it away?

"Ow ow ow!" She let go of the clawy cat shakingly and sucked on her lower lip.

Pueblo's eyes widened and stood on her hind legs, her two front paws against her guardian's tibia. Of course she didn't purposley try to knock the stupid Aerandir down, it was just in her way! Her ears flattened as if to whimper, not the heart to go chasing after the black cat angrily.

"Let's just go home," Fae sulked, her spirits crushed. She picked up Pueblo from under the gryphon's front legs, then lifted her up to hold her in her arms. Pueblo cooed and nuzzled her guardian's irritated arm reassuringly with her soft head of feather fur. "Sorry Nyxa, but I think I'm going to go home now," she quietly said, not really caring whether her friend heard her or not. She waved to Lucius, a promise in her eyes that the two Aerandir will meet again sometime soon.

With that, Fae pushed open then door, but stopped. She looked over her shoulder and looked around in the shadows for a moment curiously, but her interest faded quickly, and so did she- right out the door.

Syrenrei felt badly after Fae had left, but there wasn't any way for her to communicate with the woman her thoughts. She just couldn't chance being stuck in one place for too long, because she knew the longer she was a cat the more she would mentally and emotionally start really becoming one. Besides, while Fa ehad every intention of returning her in the morning, Sy did not know this, and so was afraid.

She just couldn't become someone's pet.

That being set aside, she realized she needed somewhere to sleep. Upon entering Aly's "apartment" she quickly realized that any cupboards would not be good hiding places... she could hear him running around knocking down walls. stare Men. Just inside the door she found a small linen closet that was present empty. Well, it would have to do. If he decided to knock THIS down, she could escape out the main door back into the center easily, and once he went to sleep, she could tell if people in the center arrived without revealing herself. Maybe sensitive cat ears weren't too bad.

SMASH! gonk Okay, maybe they were. Putting her paws over her ears and curling up on a shelf in the tiny closet, she quickly went to sleep. Cats, she mused, slept a lot more and a lot more easily than she did as a human.

Zzzzz...

Tired, Alyosha had slept soundly that night, having made a good start on his restructuring. He hadn't noticed anything amiss and had woken up to people moving around in the centre, which proved to be Foenix holding a birthday bash for him.

As events transpired, he spent more time out in the sodding rain than in the party but had enjoyed what little he had seen of it. Right now, however, he had to take care of the other little gryphon who was in his charge: Keanu. It was a shame that Kiiato had to leave, he hoped she would recover with no lasting effects.

He gently placed the little gryphon down on his own bedcovers and stood back up. Acia and Alli, he could smell, were upstairs already, snoring softly. He had to admit, as much as he had hardly seen the two of them they had been angels. Which slightly worried him. It was all going too swimmingly. Oh well, best not to worry about things which weren't going wrong. For now he had to deal with his sodding wet clothes and self.

Quickly, he stripped, throwing the clothes into the tiled kitchen floor to deal with later. He'd have a shower and then sort out what to do with Keanu.
Walking over to the linen closet, in his birthday suit (most appropriate razz ), he reached in to grab a towel and found a little black cat snoozing there.

"Ehh..."

The cat yawned and stretched, ear twitching at the noise but it simply would be too tiresome to actually open her eye towards whoever was peturbing her. Rolling on her side she stretched to pull the closest towel towards her, sinking her claws into it, and pulled it over her eyes.

Funny, cats usually weren't so... resourceful. You'd think it'd use its paw or something, right?

Alyosha blinked for a moment at the animal. It was unusual to find stray cats on the Island, it was too isolated, and none of the guardians owned one that he knew of. Odd, he decided. He reached in and picked it up by the scruff of it's neck, turning it towards him.

The moment he had picked it up, opened his nostrils and found the scent he nearly dropped her. Her. It was.. but... "what in the hells" he managed to splutter, eyebrow raising.

"Sy?" he said, still dangling her from his fingers.

As soon as she was picked up she started to wriggle in protest, and once she saw not only who it was, but what condition he was in, it was a full fledged panic, only she closed her eyes like a modest human and extended her claws like a typical cat.

Overall, surprising a sleeping cat was really a bad idea... especially by picking it up without protecting any harmable flesh.

Hey, it wasn't her fault if he got scratched. Instinct. Yes, it was instinct.

The instant she unsheathed her claws her dropped her, unceremoniously, on the floor. His palms were slightly scratched and blood welled up from a few cuts but he was, greatfully, otherwise unharmed.

He quickly grabbed a towel, wrapping it around his waist and covering his... delicate parts from her claws. Unsure what was going on he knelt down, looking into the golden eyes of the rather indignant looking kitty.

Once she realized she had hit the floor she stood there, like a deer in headlights. Complete panic. Eyes flew open, and she was glad he was closed, but then she realized how bloody HUGE he still was, and all the impertinent things she had said to him, which clearly meant there was only one course of action: flee.

Of course, she forgot again about a thing called traction that while she once had on tile, she had it no more. As she scurried to get away her tiny paws slipped and slid every which way which sent her tumbling.

stare Damnit. This body ought to come with a manual.

Wait wait, had he said her name before he dropped her. Oh dear... how embarassing. Not only was she a cat seemingly incapable of coordination, he knew it was her. She lay there brooding.

Alyosha watched and waited. The little cat skittered and skidded, trying to get away. He knew it was her. He could smell her, feline though she might be at the moment. She stopped moving, her little eyes glowering.

He wasn't sure to do. A cat with a bad attitude was never one you wanted to approach and he could see her tail flicking murderously. He sat down fully on the floor, waiting to see what she would do, wondering if he'd find out what had happened to her. He knew she had some sort of mind powers for her random appearances and Fae's vague description but wasn't sure if they would be compatible with the weak telepathy kitsune's held. His especially was underdeveloped, being only part kitsune as he was.

After a moment she got up, turned, and sat looking at him. What exactly could she do? There was no easy charade for "Help I am trapped in a cat's body by an evil spell I read off a scroll of someone I killed." If there were such signs for it, she surely didn't know. @_@ She pointed a paw at his *ahem* and then turned his head.

She might be a cat, but jeez, he ought to be a little more modest. At least he could help if he had more than just a little more hair covering him! ;_; And he could eat something more than kitty kibble. Sigh. This really, really sucked.
