"Thayne," he offered in response, settling himself in the sand again, wagging his tail once. "Well... shame y' can' stay. Y' an' Tsume, I mean..." Though he and the gray male had never really had much of a conversation, Thayne had come to appreciate the truth of Tsume's personality and his quiet tone. Talia seemed like a fine complement to the other. He was happy for them.
"Where'll y' be goin', y'think?"

Tat nodded her head all the while her tongue was lolled out the side of her mouth and eyes danced happily. "Of course Tsume, I'll behave." She was ready and eager to get out of the packlands and she almost leapt ahead of the grey wolf to demand he and Talia hurry up but realized that she would need to do as Tsume asked and act as a grown wolf.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Tat smiled. "So when are we leaving?"

An ear twitched, shortly after her head rotating around to look the way that she'd left Tsume and Tatiana. Sounded like she approved of the idea, if her joyus shout was any indication.
"A friend of mine is forming a pack with a group of others, my brother is really the reason that we're going back..."
But truthfully? After traveling this far out and seeing the things they'd seen, together, the idea of going "home" and settling down for a life with the pack seemed horribly stuffy in comparison.
Her eyes swiveled back around with the rest of her head to gaze at the mountains to the East, taking in the sight of their snow capped peaks. They were a majestic sight, really breathtaking. Talia found her eyes narrowing softly with thought.
~Wonder what they're like up close...~
"I wouldn't mind seeing more, my pack's home was really rather confined. I'd never been to the sea before this, and I can't say I've ever seen the mountains before first hand either. You seem like you might be a pretty well traveled fella, though?"
Talia's jaw quietly shut, watch looming over Thayne. She'd noticed his size and the thickness of his pelt which-- despite gender-difference, or shedding that might have occured --was considerably different from her own or even those that she knew such as Kouji and Ikkume and Whisper.

Sounds like Tati, he mused, hearing the happy yelp of the adolescent female off in the distance. Wonder what she's s' 'appy 'bout?
"Been 'round," he replied vaguely, thinking that running for his life from the onset of disease and wolf-napping humans wasn't quite what he'd call "traveling." He had seen enough to suit him through his desperate attempt to survive as a lone pup; belonging to a pack again, a beta like his father, was plenty enough to suit him. Well, if he could find a mate, that is... but that was going to require patience.
He saw Talia eye the mountains and turned to look at them. He did miss his old homeland. Or maybe it was just the old life, who knew. He turned back to Talia. "I came from tha'," he said. "O' mountains jus' like 'em. A long time ago. Beautiful place t' be. P'raps y'll see 'em b'fore y' 'ave t' settle, eh?"

Tsume watched Tatti and nodded. She was working hard not to show her elation, a clear sign that the wolf had grown and surely was no pup anymore.
"Well first we have to find Talia. She went to have a look at the ocean." Turning their direction he headed towards where his mate had disappeared.
It didn't take him long to find her, in the company of another wolf. A male wolf. Tsume felt himself bristle until he realized it was Thayne. He didn't think of the beta as a thread, well maybe a little one. He aproached the two. "So you like the ocean Talia?"
He looked at the beta respectfully. "Thayne."

"Maybe," Talia smiled softly and nodded in reply to the fact that Thayne used to call the mountains home. She might have guessed as much... "I'll sure have to make it a point to try." A light grin.
That's when Tsume and Tatiana arrived, causing Talia's ears to perk and her head to (once again) turn. It seemed they were already set and ready to go.
"I do, it's just amazing, I didn't think anything could be this large...!" And land? Hah! She couldn't see a single speck of it in the distance, no matter how much she strained her eyes.
She looked to Tatiana and winked, already aware that she was coming along. Now she just needed to wrap up this converstaion--
"It was nice meeting you, Thayne. I'll drag Tsume back here to visit you all, so don't worry about that."
Not to be rude, but as she said this she brushed the top of her head against Tsume's neck, where his jaws started.
"I'm ready," The Eastern she-wolf provided.

Thayne stood and nodded slightly to the other male. "Tsume." He turned his attention to Tati for a moment, gave her a wink and a small smile. She'd grown much recently, physically and mentally. He wondered if she was going with them...
"If y' need anythin', y're always welcome 'ere, y'know." He was sure Hige'd already told them as much, but it didn't hurt for him to add it. " 'Twas good talkin' wi' y', Talia. 'ave a safe trip... all o' y'."

Tsume nuzzled Talia affectionatly and then nodded. "Thanks Thayne. I don't think we'll be too much of strangers."
He turned towards the two females and gave them a happy look. Tsume was a wanderer, and being out and about was what made him happiest. This time there was a bigger group traveling, so a bit more caution was needed. Just an extra thrill to the big grey.

Tat looked at Tsume and Talia before her eyes wandered over to Hige. "Yes, but could you wait a minute?" Without word from the couple Tat hurried over to Hige and ducked her head under his catching her face in his neck. "I'll see you soon Daddy." She smiled before lifting her head to look at him.

((Hige was still back at the den so I'm gonna say Tatiana ran on ahead of Tsume and Talia, if that's okay?))
Hige looked up just in time to see Tatiana coming back to their den. He had been so hesitant to let her go before today, but seeing her so upset, and now seeing how happy this little trip made her.... It made him melt a bit from his worrysome mindset, ears going flat to his head to brush his chin over her head. "Their little girl" wasn't a little pup anymore, he could see that when she moved to look at him again. She was growing up into a well rounded, attractive female, and before long he'd probably have suitors showing up at their borders. The thought managed to make Hige stare blankly for a moment. "...." But, that was then, this was now. "I know. Have fun, Tat, be careful."
He smiled fondly at her and firmly licked her forehead after giving his consenting goodbye.

Thayne had followed Tatiana at a short distance back to the alpha den after saying his final goodbyes to Talia and Tsume. He sat down near the den entrance comfortably, giving Hige and Tatiana time to say their own.

*Calico made his way down to the sandy sea side, his bright green eyes starring out at the large body of water, such a large thing it was, never has he seen a body of water, THIS large in his entire life. Moving forward in long strides he walked quietly up towards the waves, before dipping his paws in and bobbing his manx tail about in a wag. A large grin spreading across his face, as his ears perked up, until they stood up like a rabbit?s ears.
Maybe he would take a little swim? He hadn't in awhile and the water seemed to warm enough and maybe he would even play a little, something he was hardly able to do through his time as a pup.
Looking about with a grin still upon his face, he pranced over and grabbed hold of a good-sized stick, before picking it up in his maw and dragging it off to the water. Waves brushing up against his feet caused him to pause for a mere second and think if this was such a bright idea, but than assured himself that he was able to swim in this.
With that he leapt forward. Creating a large splash, followed by a sudden chill, that rushed through his body, before a warmer sensation replaced it. The cool water that seeped through his fur and down to his flesh caused him to shudder a little, before he began to paddle about. The large stick still within his grasp of his maw, the large canine teeth keeping it from floating off, dug deep within the smooth bark that was obviously sitting in the water, far too long, before it washed up onto the shore line.
He grinned a little before casting a look about him, before he caught sight of a large rocky little island that was peaking out of the water, creating a dry surface, beneath the blazing sun. He cantered his head slightly to the side, causing his left ear to dip into the water, before he looked back to the shore and than to the island.
Not that much of a swim between the both..
Which was a relief, for he wanted to check out the rocky little island before heading back to the shore to look about for his new den.*

It was after Tatiana parted with the gray and black pair that Hige looked to Thayne, nodding and rising from his haunches. He'd speak with Thayne for a bit.
Nudging his nose against his mate's good ear and running his tongue over her fur, he let her know he'd be back, and turned to join their beta male, heading for the sea-side, the way Tatiana had just come from.
