Darion would look at the old bridge and sigh. He could avoid this with a single bullet, the only problem was that bullet is a pain to make seeing as it was made of his bones. He would go to cross the bridge when suddenly one of the planks gave away. Would he fall in?

With a quick jump before his footing gave away, Darion would avoid falling through the bridge and continue onward through the cave. He would brush off his coat as he walked removing any dust or dirt he had gathered in this little walk across the aged bridge. He would look around the area once he reached the end and think for a moment on what to do next.

The man would venture deeper into the cavern, the encrusted walls growing thicker as he pursued down winding pathways. It was not without effort, sometimes the path split into different directions, making the process of finding ones way back rather difficult and taxing. Though soon the walls groaned around him, everything started to shake. Debris began to fall from the rock ceiling, if it caved in, it would crush anyone under it. Luckily, it wasn't. Instead several stone golems pried themselves from their resting place. Their stony bodies large, covered in a wet moss since thin drools of water fell from the quakes overhead.
The first one that came running at him was even wearing a flower pot crown, it didn't last long. Two of the golems from behind rolled up into giant boulders, headed straight at the intruder.
Stopping at the treeline, Alex turned to face her group of trainees. Platinum tresses ruffled but still framed her face loosely as an small breeze drifted by. Her focus was on training them, that was the over all goal.
"Okay. What are your elements? We are going to train them here before stepping inside because who knows what company this area keeps."
A sweet smile toyed with the corners of her lips, she was born in battle and the fight was thrilling.
"My element is air, so I can personally train you if you have it. If it is one of the other three, I have the book for you to look over." Their weapon or hand to hand could be taught on the way, encountering and using it on enemies was far more appealing than the wooden dummies at the dojo. That was later though, no need to count the eggs before they are hatched.
Exceed was swinging on the vines before he finally landed beside Alex, being tossed his equipment via a vine. He looked to her as she asked about the elements they possess before he set his equipment down. "I command the wind and flames" He responded to her question before he soon smiled a bit more and placed his arms behind his back. "I look forward to the personal wind elemental skills I'll be taught by you." He told her with a big smile on his face as she soon asked about their questions. "Just one..." He responded before he looked off to the center of the forest, a vine coming by and rubbing against his face like a tongue. "What would we meet in the field of that area's combat?"

Wax snapped out of bliss long enough to reply. "Fire is what burns away the plagues... he said, his bliss dying. He was a plague doctor before coming into the biochemist profession, and he'd seen plenty of disturbing things. His eyes trailed off, away from the people and towards the ground. He kept thinking of the times they'd burn villages just to rid themselves of the plague entirely. How selfish people were. Wax still thought he could save those people.
Awaiting for their answers to arrive, to allow the tension to bleed out like an open wound, Alex would rotate to face them all.
"Alright, Caleb...you will start practicing a hand to hand style..." The cherub being crossed the threshold in no time, upon the Knight with ease and in such close proximity. "Take this book and choose any style that you please, learn E and D rank. If it is a series of punches, use the soft ground to strengthen your arms. If it is kicks, make them long and slow, draw out the movements against the air. As for your element, I will help you with that when I'm done with the fire element." Alex handed him the small book, it's binding an evergreen and letters embossed with silver.
Not even bothering to look up, she moved to the other twain, already cracking open a different book. Eyes glazed over the parchment, the inky words taking shape in fluid lines. "Doc, Exceed. Fire isn't like the circular movements of air. This element is quick, explosive....you will have to focus and draw upon the heat, bring it forth from your core to your hands. From there you can manipulate it." Finally, she looked to them, eyes shifting from the mech to the chemist, smiling genuinely. "Learn all seven of these skills. Don't worry about the aftermath...I will tend to it." Ivory digits extended, offering the book for them to share. "As for your second element, Exceed, that will be soon to come. Follow through with this first and don't you fret over what is in those woods. Some say if you go far enough in, Elves, but we won't be coming across any. We are here to get Doc's component. Now get to work."
Stepping back, golden flares would watch contently. If they could pick up their element, it would be great but they were only human, after all, and sometimes they struggled, they have always struggled. Through eons of time, civilization, war, pandemics, each fighting and yet, tending to the flock. Many forgo the shepherd, not this time. She'd make them wolves dressed in fleece.
The armored platinum beauty that was the Captain, laid her lushes golden eyes on Caleb. His icy blue eyes peered from under the visor of his helm. He smiled as he felt his cheeks grow hot, he was lucky to have his face hidden by his helmet. As she spoke and held out the book of Martial Arts out to him, metal clanked upon metal as he reached up and took grasp of it "thank you Captain, I look forward to your mentorship" he said every word coming off his tongue with a respectful tone. He looked to the book, beautifully cascaded letters of silver decorated the cover. As she took off to deal with the others he walked over an leaned against a tree. Flipping open the book that she gave him, his blue eyes scanned the sliver lettered pages as he looked up on what Martial Arts to choose from. His grandfather aways said it was better to have some grappling styles up your sleeve so a sword isn't your only weapon. Most he needed a sparring partner or a practice dummy. He sighed and looked at the book again, something caught his eye Dim Mak, it was a style focused on chi points. He read more eagerly into it, blue eye darting from side to side as he took in the information. This style would help him counter some of his blind spots as training with allow him to sense another's chi. Even allow him to knock them out with out hurting them as too help capture them alive.
The instructions read that he needed to meditate and find his chi. He closed the book and tucked in under his belt. He undid the clasps on his weapons, it was going to be hard to meditate with his weapons strapped on. He laid them against the tree along with his shield. He sat not too far from the tree, the soft ground compressing underneath him. He, with a little work, crossed his legs and let a sigh as he relaxed. His breathing steadily became rhythmatic as he focused himself. Seconds, minutes, hours? All seemed to blend together as he ascended his mortal body over to a spiritual one. He searched the empty darkness for what seemed hours. A faint pulsing white light broke the darkness, he knew this had to be his chi. He reached out and touched it, it was warm. Not like fire but like a caring hug or filled with life. This was his chi, with this he had now the the ability to channel it and use it against others. He opened his eyes, seemed only minutes had passed, not hours or days. The world was alive with color as everything gave off it's own chi. The Captians was righteous and dutiful, the Docs was twisted and unpredictable and Exceeds was like his own, kind and caring. He shook his head, getting back to his training. He now needed to suppress his chi to hide it from others. He sighed as he relaxed again. Pushing his chi deeper into the darkness, untouchable by others.

Wax nodded, moving away from everyone. He'd read through the elemental fire book earlier, but only picked up on one technique. He tried to think back to what he'd read. The simplest of the techniques was a straight jab, or a kick that produced a fire. After gathering his thoughts for a moment, he realized that the lady was right. This element was about speed and strength. Neither of which Wax have. But he could make it so. His fist jerked forward, producing a small flame. He wasn't satisfied though. A high kick, should do; he thought to himself. Raising his leg high, he brought down a hard kick, launching a small fire projectile.
+Learned Fireball!
The next technique he could remember was flame wall. Using fire to burn and deflect projectiles sounded a little hard, but nothing Wax thought he couldn't handle. He thought of a few ways to actualize the gesture to make the flame wall. He tried stomping, striking eccentric poses, and several other things like obscene gestures. Finally, he had the idea that they were too much, and decided to go for something a tad bid less eccentric. Open hand crossed over another open hand at eye height worked. He nodded in approval.
+Learned Flame Deflection!
The next technique, he thought he could find use for. Creating a blow torch jet from the tips of your fingers. He remembered several orientals who'd passed through a town he was working in one time. Two of them struck him at this moment. One used claws, the other straight fingertips. Wax thought the fingertips might be a little more accurate though. Holding out two fingers, he jerked forward, creating a small jet from the tips of his fingers. He thought this would be useful for cooking potions later.
+Learned Flame Dagger
The next technique couldn't be too hard now that he'd learned some other techniques. A simple punch with a fire covering. He jabbed a few times, with little to no results. A spark here, a small fire there, but not a fist of flames. He reared back with his right fist, and went straight for the knock out. A fist of fire performed an uppercut, giving him the satisfaction of performing the technique.
+Learned Fire Punch!
This was beginning to get easier and easier as he went. Soon Wax would be a harder force to fight during melee combat. The next technique was a little more complicated. To find the right gesture that agreed with Wax was hard. He was tall, and lanky. Not much of a fighter to most. But he often found the technique he wanted. The one that agreed with him most was to lean forward, and swivel his hand counter clockwise. It felt comfortable to him, and produced the same effect as any other student.
+Learned Fire Stream!
The last one for him to learn was an alternate of fire stream. He made his usual gesture for the movement, but this time jerked downwards, puling a stream of fire from the attack. He played with it for a second, cracking fire with his whip. He really wasn't always so fond of fire, but it got the job done clearing the bad things left from the plagues. He flayed a tree with the whip. but shortly after felt bad for doing so. Destroying nature was not his wish. Altering however, was another story.
+Learned Flame Whip!
After he was done, he stepped over the Alex and began to watch Exceed finish up. "Oh Milady❣ I'm done with the task."
Exceed listened to her warning about the difference between fire techniques compared to everything else. He nodded as soon handed them a book about flame techniques before she told him not to worry about mastering the Air techniques. "Very well and thank you for calming my nerves." He told her with a soft smile on his face before he moved away from her and the doc to have some space to practice the fire.
Exceed summoned up the flames of his arms and legs as he looked forward, channeling the explosive energy before him. He moved his hands up and down in a swift motion, summoning up more fire energy before it bursted before him, creating a deflective field. It lasted only for a moment, but it was enough to leave a trace of small smoke in the air before him, which dispersed into the air itself slightly. (Fire Deflection Learned)
Exceed soon looked to his right hand, clenching it into a fist as it emitted mass amounts of heat around itself. Soon, he opened his own hand to a flat palm so quickly it ignited his finger tips and entire hand in full flames. He clenched it into a fist once more before the flames on the back of his hand shot out in a small range, creating a dagger appearance. (Fire Dagger Learned)
Exceed swung the flame dagger around for a little bit, getting the feel down perfectly. Once he had the feeling of using this fire dagger down, he did a quick uppercut, letting loose the energy of the fire. Soon, a fireball launched out upwards through the trees, avoiding touching the leaves before it faded into nothing. (Flame Launch learned.)
Exceed let the flames loose from his fist before he began to collect fire energy around his forearm and fist. He took a deep breath and exhaled before he thrusted his first forward, not once, not twice, but various times. He was trying to perfect the Flame punch and managed to do it as it felt like it was exploding at the end. (Flame Punch learned.)
Exceed closed his eyes as the flames dispersed from around his fist, opening it into a palm as he began to do the same for his other hand. He placed them both out before he began to summon up a ring of fire that goes around his hands. Soon, a stream of jet-like flames shot out from the ring, swirling around as it continued onward, stopping before one of the trees. (Fire Stream Learned)
Soon he closed his hands into fists before he pulled them apart, summoning up handles. They became whips of pure fire as he swung them around for a bit to get the flames to condense down. He soon cracked his whips up and down, perfecting their small appearance as he swung them around, cutting through a tree by accident as he dispersed them. (Flame Whip Learned)
"O-Oops." He stated as he held his right hand up, a bit afraid of the damage a cut down, let alone a burning, falling tree would do to the forest. He looked to Alex to hear her opinion, which didn't seem all that much since she seemed more focused on training him and the others.

Arcadia's partisan stood back, watching each move as they were instructed to do so. Great whirls of flame danced to life, the destructive force doing exactly what it does best. Love and hate, they tend with the same voice. After they were done and made minimal damage, Alex's head reclined towards Doc, platinum fringe falling from its place and lay splayed across porcelain features that harbored no scar, no blemish, nothing but a hazy glow that set her apart. "Well done."
Smiling momentarily she turned the mask of her face towards the skin and sighed, long lashes crown cheeks. Clouds began to roll, grand billows tumbling forth from no where. Their coverage was grey and looming, thundering sounding far off and yet, here it was. The Heaven's ripped at the seams and ran cascaded down from their sunder. Pitter-patters clap against Doc's mask, on Caleb's helm, sticking to Exceed's hair...each gathering momentum and density until it was a shower. To them it was nothing but rain, this water was blessed, holy, in fact. It would douse the fires, snuffing even the coy smoke that tried to trail upward. All a long the ground, puddles took shape.
"Doc...give Caleb the elemental book."
She exhaled, a thin mist laggardly ebbed from the pink tulips.
"Caleb, you are up. You needed water...now you have plenty of pools to choose from. Get to your feet and do it."
Golden spheres flashed, slipping their half-mast gaze to Exceed who stood in a slight stupor. He'd learn his second element now, even in the downpour.
"The air element doesn't have the lethal finishing moves like the rest but you have freedom. Your supply is vast and the only thing to hold you back, is yourself."
Alex began to rise, levitating from the ground by two inches, her right hand drawing circular movements and yet, nothing stirred from it. It would come though. In the same turn, her hand extended towards the trees, leaves and other matter began to shift, being pulled from the muck and underbrush towards her.
"First you pull and then you push."
Alex moved her other hand to accompany the right, a maestro conducting the currents and just as it seemed the debris would strike her, it was curved in a 360 degree spin and thrust back into the same direction from which it came. The funnel dissipated, only the falling rain remained.
"After the Air Suction and Funnel, you have the spout and shield." The angel rose upward, pushing herself in the air using her element though it wasn't truly needed for her, in this rain, gravity did not bind her. "You thrust yourself up, this is generally just vertical or horizontal in direction...don't think it just gives you wings and you can fly off. It is not that type of ability. The other...the shield. It won't block attacks but it can redirect them away from you. Think of a metal slab in front of you and in the center it is bent, that is the central point that forces everything thrown at it to push off towards the left or right. The more powerful the attack, the more energy you will need to put into deflecting it. Your last two skills are a punch or kick of air, similar to your fire element and a great breath. Simply breathe in, deep, hold it in and then exhale. This is more powerful than any average person can make. Now you try."
Easing back down to the wet grass beside of Doc, Alex would wait again. Tawny slivers looked over to the plague mask, she'd ask why he was wearing such a thing that would hinder his sight but now wasn't the time or place, he obviously had his reasons for hiding his face. "You are going to get two things here. The waterfall is further down the land but the river runs through these woods." It made many bends and drops, creating smaller falls for him to gather from. "Do you have any questions?" Her voice was low enough that the conversation would remain private while the others trained.
Air Suction Rank: E Description: A technique used to bring people or things towards the User. Though pulling people is going to cost as a C rank and if higher rank they can choose to resist your pull.
Air Punch/Kick Rank: E Description: air punches or air kicks are small, compressed formations of air that can be fired off the fists or feet of the user. It’s commonly used in rapid succession
Air Funnel Rank: D Requires: Air Suction
Description: An advanced version of air Suction which allows you to pull objects up to a hundred pounds weight. Alternatively it can redirect objects of that weight at people.
Air Shield Rank: D (Energy usage is equivalent to the rank of your enemy's attack) Description: The most common defensive tactic involves circling enemies, suddenly changing direction when attacked and evading by physical movement rather than bending. However, the user can still deflect as needed by throwing up gusts of air close to their bodies as a shield. This is rarely to stop attacks directly and more often pushes the attack aside and away, conserving energy and allowing them to turn the movement into an attack at the same moment. Since air can affect almost all physical objects, it can also be used to enforce the momentum of thrown objects or manipulate other objects.
Uses double energy to stop an object just normal to deflect. Fire can only be deflected if you use double the amount of energy and only if it is normal fire. Rock cannot be stopped if it is in a streamlined shape only slowed and deflected, still uses double energy. .
Air Spout Rank: D (lasts two posts Costs 10 energy per post beyond the first two.) Description: Similar to the Water Spout, adept users are able to rotate and control the direction of the Air Spout enough to levitate them off the ground and remain in the air for as long as they wish to or can maintain it. It lifts you at most two stories off the ground.
Great Breath Rank: D-A Description: In a regular basic life, all people breath in and out the air with our lunges in our lives, also can make our own little breeze by blowing. For Air users, they can breath out much larger air than any other element user's. By taking a dig deep breath, holding it in from your grate lunges. The person can blow out large gust of wind as if trying to blow out the candles, but really blowing anything away in it's way that aren't rooted or firmly planted on the ground. The amount increases with each rank.

Snapping out of being mesmerized, Doc nodded. ""Will do Ma'm." he said as he tossed Caleb the book. He looked back at Alex, and cocked his head. "Well Miss, now that you ask, I do have a question. In the short bit we've been around each other, I don't think I've heard your name. You know me as Doc Wax, but I don't know what to call you. So Milady, could you fix that problem? And I'd like to ask for permission for a side project, but that can wait. Aside from that, I can handle the task of gathering."

Exceed heard her speak as he turned to look at her smiled at her softly when she spoke of freedom. "I love the feeling of freedom." He told her with a big smile on his face as he watched her float up to the air. He slowly began to move his right hand around, creating a vortex of wind before he pulled his hand back, bringing his bag towards him easily. (Air Suction learned)
He soon punched his right hand forward as he soon brought it in, slowly creating a small air around him. "Come to me my breeze." He whispered before the wind around him began to appear before he brought the fallen tree to him. He soon sent it up and slammed it down, turning it into ash as he sighed softly before smiling. (Air Funnel learned)
He summoned air around his hands and legs as he felt them become lighter than air. He then tried to punch forward, the wind shooting off swiftly along with his fist being an easy punch. He followed it with another punch, and a dual kick as he was faster in striking so much quicker than normal attacks. (Air Punch/Kick learned)
The air became natural to his use as he soon began to rotate the air around before him. The rain coming down even harder as he soon moved it up above him as the rain was swinging back and forth in a circle. He kept the spinning shield going as it was going faster, getting more appearance by the ripples of the air, slowly becoming a bit gray due to the amount of air he was summoning and energy being infused to it. The moment he summoned up a fast spinning gale of an air shield, the rain began to fly off the shield. He couldn't help but feel successful at that as he looked to the captain. In his mind, he'd thought she'd be impressed because of the input of energy to the shield. When he saw she wasn't looking, he merely shrugged, but in his mind he wanted her to see how he was capable of creating a strong shield to act as an umbrella to such a strong storm. (Air Shield learned)
Exceed soon walked away from the spot as he climbed up onto a tree and soon summoned up a gale of wind around him. He closed his eyes and jumped from the top of the branch as he spread his arms and legs out, creating a nice tunnel of wind underneath him. He moved around in the air as he was slowly descending to the ground, landing it slowly as he smiled a bit. (Gliding learned.)
He landed but soon began to slowly spin as he was slowly raising to the air as he was breathing heavily slowly. He continued to raise up into the air till he was above where a copy of his body would be before as he stopped his raising. He was still spinning until it was a stop before he looked down to notice the ripples of the air movements that kept him in the air. He smiled a bit as he floated in the air for a moment before he began to land quickly. (Air Spout learned.)
Exceed looked up to the air as he slowly took a deep breath in as he leaned back. He built up energy in his neck as he felt the ground beneath him quake as he stopped taking the breath in. He held his breath for a long time before he moved his head forward and breathed out as he released a large gust, blowing all the leaves off of a dead tree. (Great Breath learned)
He was panting slightly, but smiled as he looked to Alex as he waved at her slightly. "So... anything else?"

As Caleb and Exceed continued to train, the nephilim looked to Doc, swearing she introduced herself in the office...a single brow arcing at the thought, but no matter. Perhaps he did not hear her? Who knew? She didn't deal with cards, and if she did, she'd play a lousy hand.
"I'm Alex, short for Alexandra." A smile curled up the ends of two vessels, connecting the soft cheeks. "Alexandra Damon, Captain of Kranila." Her gold-flecked gaze found the human mechanic again but her words were directed at the doctor. "Well when you whenever you want to inquire on this side project, let me know. We can discuss it then." A nod confirming her words.
Both of the trainees seemed to be finishing up their studies, hopefully they would put the skills learned to good use. "Nope. Rest if you need too. Caleb will be finishing up his soon."
Rainwater clung to her platinum locks, matting them to her neck and collar bones. It would be easy to dry off but she never minded it, it was better to embrace the dewy cold than to face a burning flame. Except...her smile grew, cheeks flushed as her heart thundered behind the breastplate of armor. Alex say it again! Please, I need you to say it again. She inhaled sharply and turned away from the group, boots sloshed through the muck and the honeyed hues looked into the dark woods, water still washing over her- icy kisses against the warmth radiating from her curvature.
