hmm.. as an avatar contest, i suggest a contest where you try and make the ugliest avatar ever. that might be easier if you're just beginning, or don't have much to work with. ninja

A monthly, themed event question question question
For example, next month we might have a circus themed event. So we might dress up as someone in a circus like a clown and there might be things like, tektek contests, avi art contests, best dressed contest etc (all themed as circus).

For contests, how difficult would a karaoke contest be to organize. It could go elimination style, maybe halving the amount of entries at every stage with participants singing a new song for each round. Not sure how much interest there would be, but it would certainly be entertaining.
Also, story writing.
List two sentences, a beginning and an end. Entries have to fill in the middle, best submission wins.

Meeting in towns is another great suggestion

If people are left to find their own partners we might have new/shy people who don't bother to participate because they don't want to ask someone they don't know to pair with them.
Making a match-up list might be more work but I think it's a good idea.

Maybe matching up the newbies would be better, since some of the oldbies would rather choose their own, since they probably don't want to be paired up with sum1 who t1ks lyk dis. No offense to anyone who t1ks lyk dis.

Also, CEC owners need to hold moar contests. cool Since there so far were only two.
And I know CEC still needs to do some refunding and restoring, but that doesn't mean we can't hold small contests once in awhile! ;D
