Giselle's lips were an 'O' as she stared at him, then nodded. "Of course you are. Patty - do you like shortenin' his name too? You should: it's got threeee names in it! I was soo relieved when he didn't expect me to use all three: always pompous when people do that!"

Here she swayed to the side, blinked and then smiled sheepishly at Patrick before facing Taraneith with her hand outstretched. "S-sorry, I ramble when I'm drunk. Just thought I'd check out where he lives 'cause I wanna make my move soon..." Her cheeks bloomed into colour and she stared at her feet.

Patrick swiftly started shaking his head behind her back, aware of how that sounded. Wonderful. I know she didn't mean it that way - she's not coming for me! - but will Taran trust me enough to understand it..,?
Knowing it was the worst idea, he watched his fiance, expression blank as he stopped shaking his head and held his breath...

That was a weird thing to say, but then again the girl was drunk, so he asked, careful not to let his dangerous level of jealousy show. "And, might I ask what move that would be?" he inquired, seemingly polite and almost like he didn't care about the answer.

He couldn't lie, but the expressions on his face and his tone he was allowed to disguise. A convenient allowance. Yet he couldn't hide the way his eyes seemed to glow a little more than usual.

He noticed Patrick's holding his breath and looked at him with an I-hope-this-isn't-what-it's-sounding-like expression.

Patrick folded his arms over his chest and glowered back. If Taran didn't trust him, then he fully intended to leave with Giselle: he needed to see her home anyway, but if Taraneith continued this way then he'd be glad not to talk to him more tonight!
Nevermind that he wanted to snuggle up again: that wasn't worth it if Master Taraneith couldn't trust him even after tonight!

"W-well... I kind of want to s-surprise her, b-but that might not be best. She can get angry and - I really don't want her to throw me out!" She wailed, sinking to the floor. Completely miserable.
"P-Patrick made me promise to come here if she did that... o-or if the guards f-f-force me!" she finished, voice a broken whisper.

Patrick instantly knelt beside her and held her in a hug, forgetting to stay mad at Taran. "Shhh... it's alright. I won't let that happen to you, and I swear if you need me and turn up in the woods I'll come running!" He murmured, stroking her hair like a child as she sobbed on his shoulder.
His actions clearly weren't new to him: he was used to them as those were her two worst fears...

The Fae noticed that, and his eyes softened as he realized that the mistake was mostly his. He kissed Patrick's shoulder apologetically and patted Giselle awkwardly on the back. He had never been particularly good at females.

"You are safe here and now." he said simply, his deep voice comforting. He hoped it would be enough. "And I shall help Patrick keep his promise."

He wondered why Patrick had said that, though. How was he to know that he would be in any position to rescue the girl when he was off to live with the Fae man for... pretty well ever?

Patrick smiled in gratitude that Taran was comforting Giselle as well, then his eyes got a hopeful look and he bit his lip. Was there some way Taraneith could help him know whether or not Giselle was in trouble?

The boy cleared his throat and pulled back to look into her eyes. "You wanted to meet my sister Emma, didn't you? Why don't I show you to her and then I'll see you home..." he murmured, smiling softly.
In truth he wanted a word with Master Taraneith.

At Giselle's nod, he helped her to her feet and took her to Emma before returning to his room, shutting the door behind himself. Then he went to stand in front of the Fae man, the hope still present as he continued to bite his lip and met Taran's eyes.

"Taraneith... is there some kind of spell or stone that'll let me hear her when she calls for me? I-I know it's a lot to ask for but... I promised her. I promised before I knew you existed..."
He gulped, fingers tightly held together behind his back.
"So either I find a way to set things up with her Mistress, or at least tell her where to leave a note - or call out my name - so that I'll find it."

His voice had been a murmur, but he meant to keep his promise any way he could.

Taranieth laughed. "Illusion is not the only skill the Fae possess. Where I live, the window show whatever place you want them to show. But it only works for places the person has visited and you can't ask to see a person, only a location. I can also arrange with friends to procure you other means of keeping track of her. There will be no more limitations than you had when you first made the promise." he said, kissing him on the nose. "It isn't any trouble at all. I have more than one way of being what humans might call a stalker."

He pulled his into a hug, knowing this time that the human wouldn't object. His long hair flowed freely all over the other's shoulders, and it gave him an idea of a task. Brushing that mane was a pain in the butt and he would be delighted to feel the other's touch there. Or anywhere actually.

He was lost in raptures of delight at the idea.

Patrick relaxed the moment Taraneith told him that it was possible to keep track of Giselle and anyone else he was worried about.

So I can protect her... and definitely save her if I need to. Guess I just need an invite into her Mistress' room - when she makes her move, I can watch the reaction and judge what's required of me.
Wouldn't be difficult since I am training to be a doctor... in a manner of speaking anyway.
Though the moment anything remotely 'good' happens I'm outta there until called. I wouldn't want to watch!

A smile lit up his face as his nose was kissed, then his thoughts scattered with a happy sigh when Taran embraced him. The young man's arms wrapped around Master Taraneith, holding him close.

"Thank you... he whispered, stroking the Faery's back with one hand as the other lightly entangled itself in Taraneith's hair.
"You know, I'm going to have to play with this hair of yours. It's too gorgeous, really." He murmured, then pulled back slightly with a look of horror.
"Y-you wouldn't... cut it, right? 'Cause that would be a sin! And I don't mean a good sin either!"

Taranieth blinked as the human looked horrified by something. He wondered what it could possibly be- had he done something, was there a bug in his hair...

Nope, nothing that serious. Apparently, his hair was pretty enough to cause alarm at the mere idea of its cutting.

He chuckled in relief, and at the irony of his thinking only moments before along such a similar track. "You provide no end of amusement. Of course I would never cut my hair, it took so long to grow out! And anyhow we fae only cut our hair when we die, or just trim an inch or so off. It gets quite long in the end - tradition allows to keep it off the ground, but it can be quite a hassle to take care of even so. Of course, you'll be wanting to grow yours out, so that when you die, may it be hundreds of years from now, those who love you may keep the locks. Oh, and of course, to fit in at the balls."

Patrick blinked, then shrugged. "Alright then, long hair it is. My mum's the one that insists on cutting it really - says I'd fall over it when climbing... hmmm. I guess she might have a point when I'm drunk..."

The young man then let go of Taran fully so that he could walk 'round to the Fae man's back, gently sliding his fingers through the strands of hair as he did so.
Please don't tangle... I don't want to hurt him with knots!
Then he proceeded to brush his fingers down from Taraneith's scalp to the tips, smiling.

"I can definitely see why you don't cut yours... but mine'll be splitting within minutes..." he murmured, still kneeling as his fingers were holding the tips, playing with them and therefore brushing lightly against Taraneith's back softly.

Then he reluctantly stood, kissed Taraneith's lips, and pulled back. "I ought to see Giselle home..." he murmured, smiling gently despite his sudden nerves.

"But when I come back, will you - um - still sleep in my bed with me?" He finished speaking in a whisper, biting his lip.
"I-it's just that... I was really comfy before with you, a-and I think I'll sleep well with you there..." He mumbled, blushing but managing not to lower his eyes.

The human kissed him (ah, sweet heaven on earth) and then asked a question, stuttering and blushing in an adorable way. The fae had to admit, he was surprised the boy held his gaze. Not unhappy, but surprised.

Then what he was asking sunk in.

Taranieth raised both his eyebrows and blinked. Then he tilted his head to think about that one. He wanted to sleep with next to him, but he wasn't particularly fond of the idea that the human might notice the almost certain (not-so)-little problem that being in such close proximity would cause.

Teasing little brat.

But he smiled and nodded. "How could I possibly refuse?" he said. "When such beauty is before me."

Not technically a lie, since it was a question, but he would really rather not explain his doubts, because they would just be... uncomfortable.

Patrick blinked, then beamed at Taraneith happily. "Thank you. B-but if you wanted to say no, you could: I'd never force you to sleep beside me..."
He hastily added, wanting to make certain that the Fae man didn't truly believe that Patrick Raphael Smith could never accept a 'no'.

He wasn't thinking of the morning, only that it had been wonderful to be that close to Master Taran, to be able to snuggle with him. Especially thinking that he almost wished they could be alone together...

The smile on his face changed to one of contentment, his gaze becoming slightly dazed and unfocused.
It would be - I don't have a suitable word. But I don't know that I will sleep well, considering I'll want to savour his company.

Taranieth kissed him for his little worries and went to sit on the bed. "Tell Keegan I'm with you tonight on your way back." he said.

He hoped the dragon didn't get the wrong idea.... hah, that was unlikely. He switched his wish to a more reasonable hope that said wrong idea would be easily corrected.

Even that would be a pretty lucky break. More likely Taranieth would think for a long time that much more than sleeping happened.... oh, hell, what if he made a comment to.... he hung his head. Yes, yes he will. I can perfectly imagine the sort of cocky jibe... 'have fun'... 'hope you aren't too sore in the morning'... 'Taranieth's stomach has some sensitive spots, don't ask me how I know'.... he hoped this last tidbit of information was, in fact, unknown to Keegan. Which it probably was. But there was always a possibility.... he blushed, thankful nobody saw.

Damn that dragon.

The boy smiled at him, kissed back, then nodded. "Shall do - can't have him worrying that you're in some kind of trouble! At least if I tell him you're with me, he'll know you're safe!" He commented, completely and genuinely innocent as he turned to leave the room.

At the door, he paused to gaze at Master Taraneith for a moment, liking the sight before blushing softly and going to Giselle.
"We need to leave... I see you get along with her..." He beamed, having known all along that Giselle would be great with kids - that was her main regret when it came to her sexual preferences, and he'd had to bite his drunken, unguarded tongue to prevent himself from offering to give her one more than once.

I hope Emma doesn't guess that Taran is here, or we'll never get her to sleep! Though the way Giselle is holding her, it seems my sister has a new favourite pillow...

"Awww~! Sleep well baby, I'll visit again soon!" Giselle cooed softly, turning to slump against Patrick as he got her to the front door and helped her outside, silently moving towards the woods.

However once they were out of the house and not quite at the trees, the drunk girl began speaking with a slur and a dreamy smile.
"You know I think I want one... a-and if I had to, then you'd be the best candidate for father..." She stared up at him. "Reememberrr, you did say you would, once. That we'd try and try until I got biiggg!"

Both of them made expressions that indicated how much they did not truly want to sleep together in that way, but PAtrick recovered first, shaking his head.

"No, it was a stupid idea. You can adopt, or we'll find someone who's gentle but doesn't mind not sticking around to be a true father..." He nodded, smoothing her hair back from her face, then having to catch her to carry her home.

He tucked her in bed, kissed her forehead then went home. When he reached the right area, he sat down.
"Keeggaannn?" he called softly. "I have to talk to you..."

((Don't suppose you'd like to rp Giselle and Emma? If not then I can edit and get her home faster.
Though if they walk, they can possibly mention Pat's drunken offer to make Giselle pregnant... *innocent look*))
PostPosted: Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:12 pm

((I'm having trouble thinking how to get them to mention it. Go ahead and make a wall of text explaining exactly what Giselle says on the way home, I don't mind. I just want to get Keegan. *grins*))
