Nema snorted at the comments and stood defensively over her baskets.
"So you got attacked by a bear?
Meaning you pissed it off, attacked it, got your a** kicked, and then you both crawled back here?"
She paused for a moment glancing left to right prepared for anything.
"I'm assuming it didn't, but did it REALLY occur to you at all, that if you injured the bear it might want revenge?
And did it ALSO occur to you that there are BASKETS here now!?"
Growling at the ignorant males the female stepped on top of her basket's and lay over them protectively glaring hatred straight into the den.

Arcane's ears flattened and he got up.
"If you don't like it, take your damn basket and get out of here!" He shouted the fur along his back standing on end.
He was trembling and even took a nasty snap at her. He'd reached his limits with her and finally grabbed the Basket Buck had picked and pulled it over to him.
"Get out!" He barked glaring at her.

Buck slowly got to his feet and stepped between the two. "I offered to let her stay if she wished, on the condition you all play nice. And I warned you about the bear before I took off, you should have taken the baskets inside where you could guard them. It was attacking my mate I was not going to lose him so quickly." He took a few meager steps into the cave, trusting Arcane with Corae's basket. "I'm going to go heal, tomorrow you two better be able to play nice, the baskets need us." He weakly managed to move to his old bed and flopped down as a dust cloud scattered at his disruption.

Nema glared right back down at the ignorant male, his jaws snapped just a few inches from her face and she immediately went into defensive mode once again. Her hackles bared and her fur stood on end, with a growl the female drew back her right paw and slashed it at the male.
With a "Humph" She quickly redirected her attention to her baskets, especially the one the male had pulled away from her, she growled again this time even louder. "You touch my baskets again, and next time I won't miss."
With a grumble she rubbed her tail against the one left by her side and let out a soft purr. "In case you're forgetting their Father is out of action and i'll be DAMNED if i'm letting my basket stay anywhere with you. For goodness sake your the idiot who led the trail back here!" Sneering at the comment she quickly turned her attention back to Buck and her tone changed to something slightly more gentle.
"Coming into your den does me no good if the bear FOLLOWS you Buck. Your out of commission, and I will not leave anything to chance."
She sighed, plopping down on her bottom, and grinning on the inside, this was going to be a fun night.

Arcane growled softly but stepped over beside Buck and curled up laying down beside him to keep him warm, he to was shiver and he nosed the basket lovingly. Sadly He knew she was right, that annoyed him greatly. The bear most likely would be back. After a moment of thinking he nosed Buck.
"Where is the next open cave?" He flinched as he shifted he hadn't tended to his own wounds yet.

Buck sighed relieved that things had calmed down. " I think there's another one half day hike towards the rising sun, though I don't think the bear will come back. But anything is possible." He stood and slowly stretched before wincing and laying back down. "Don't think I could make it but you two could go there, until we know for sure if the bear's going to return." He was probably being a bit dense but it was hard to think outside of the pain.

"ARE YOU INSANE?!"
The female yelled the words so loud they echoed through the cave and the trees out front.
"You want us to sit around here and just WAIT for the bear to come for us?
Yeah you're insane.
The female growled and walked over to the injured male, lightly she smacked him on the head with her tail, positive not to hurt him but to jokingly knock some sense into him.
Losing the edge in her voice the female spoke up again glaring down the other male who had pulled her beloved baskets closer to himself. "Buck sweetheart, we can't just stay here, if you're girlfriend over there is too injured to carry you I will. SHE can carry the baskets, they aren't that much of a problem!"
The female grinned at her words, loving every minute of the torture she was throwing at the other male.
|| We should make the baskets grow soon to pups, it'd be cute to have them walk to the new cave, if Buck decides to go XD ||

Arcane's ears flattened and he let out another growl. "I can carry him JUST fine!" he grumbled then slipped him self under Buck and stood. He whole body was trembling " You get the bask-...." Arcane was staring at the now moving baskets until both tops had fallen off and small yips could be heard coming from them. Arcane moved closer with Buck still on his back.

Buck started to protest but Arcane already had him hoisted up so he sighed and tried to help. As Arcane stopped Buck glanced up and saw the open baskets. "Oh my!"
Corae yipped in his basket before throwing his weight against it trying to get out. At first he managed to bump his brother's basket and yipped in frustration.

Arcane had gone very stiff as he looked down in to the basket. After a few moments of watching the pup try and get out he gingerly leaned down and picked Corae up by the scruff and set him down outside the basket.

Shocked for a moment, Nema paused and could only stare as her pups attempted to wiggle free of their baskets. She growled rather loudly at Arcane as he pulled one from it's basket. Didn't he know they were supposed to do it themselves?
Idiot.
She rolled her eyes as she tip toed lightly over to her second basket, her head leaned lightly over the top of the basket as she watched her other pup dozing lazily in it's basket. With a giggle, she nudged the basket and tried to wake the sleeping pup.

With a small yip, the pup sprang to life and looked around confused, all he could see were simple vague shapes and he blinked furiously trying to see them better.
As he did he gently looked up towards the nudge he'd felt and noticed a beautiful silver female above him, smiling like a cheshire cat! With another small yip, the pup attempted to stand on it's two hind legs and get a better view of his world.

Arcane was still staring at the pup he had just placed one the ground. His body was still trembling but he seem to have forgotten it because of his wonderment. He had seen may pups from a far but no one had ever left him get this close to one, and the face he was now with Buck, make it his own pup. He nosed Corea and barked, not loudly but enough to get some kind of response from him.

Buck grimaced as Arcane moved but kept his silence and stared at the little pups. "They're adorable."
Corae stared in awe at his surroundings, the world was so big and for a moment he turned to look back at his basket, but at Arcane's bark he jumped and stared at the male with his head tilted slightly. He stayed like that for a minute clearly thinking before giving a return yap.

Arcane grinned at the pup's reaction but felt Buck grimace along his back. He leaned down and picked the pup up by the scruff.
"We need to leave now." He told the female. His body still trembled but he didn't seem to be bothered by it. He was being very careful with both the new pup and Buck. He stepped out of the cave and looked around.

Gently gripping the newborn into her mouth the female winced as his little bitty antlers poked her in the eye, but she quickly looked it over and smiled down at her bundle of joy. Her heart ached to reach over and snatch her second bundle from that annoying creature but she knew in her heart it would be for the worst.
Agreeing to disagree with her heart the female nodded and led the way from the den, her eyes darting left and right as she attempted to sniff out any danger, which didn't go so well with a pup in her teeth. Sweetly the female released the pup from her jaws and set him on the ground, looking down at him and mouthing what she hoped the pup would understand.
"Mommy needs to put you on her back Chuchip, you have to be very still and be a big boy OK?"
The words came out in a purr and the female rubbed her cheek against the pup as she spoke, before nipping him by the scruff and placing him on her back.
Without another word, she rose her nose to the air and began sniffing for any signs of danger. Relief washed over her as she spoke.
"The coast seems clear, nows as good a time as we're going to get, let's get out of here."
