Makoto's eyes widdened again.
"Why thats just horrible. I...If that were I would have..."
Makoto cut herself off going quiet, she got a bit flustered and she started to fan herself cooling her nerves.

"A yujo! I could only imagine!" Nitta shook her head. "If I had a hair ornament for every time a geisha or maiko was confused with a yujo or tayu, I'd look like one myself!" Nitta waved her fan through the air as though dispelling such a notion with a flick of her wrist.
"Did your father set them straight, Kyoku-san?"

kairisesshy ((im not sure, we were having a discussion on who was going to start doing it, maybe Nitta-san knows ^_^)) Kyoku smiled back to nitta quietly, and fanned her blushing face as she was complimented. "Thank you so much Ronin-san." She smiled brightly now. "I must say, im fond of you to!" Kyoku sighed softly, her smile fading gently. "It was so terrible there. I suddenly understood why my escort kept burning incense. You can imagine how foolish i felt, stepping out of my carrige, completly dressed up in the flashy maiko outfit. When i visited my father, it was all the style to wear two kimono as a maiko as well as elaborate hair ornaments! Apparently the lower soldiers did not know that my father had a daughter as assumed i was a yujo! Of course anyone with any taste, could have looked at me and known the difference, but to them a young girl in expensive kimono must be a whore!"

"Well my carriers did not know that i was supposed to go to a nearby city to stay with my father, so they took me there! My father quickly set them straight and sent me to a lovely little inn to wait. Apparently father was quite furious towards the soldier that had cat-called me. I heard from an associate later that the group that had grabbed out at me as i walk were um....punished in a very..." Kyoku blushed, embarrased at such a distasteful subject. "Well, i thought i was a over the top, but those poor men! Those men will never think dirty again. Not that they could do anything about it..."
Kyoku turned her face back to Ronin, reaching out a small hand and very lightly running her finger down his scar over his cheek. "Nonsense, scars show strength i think. That you have survived." Kyoku pulled her sleeve far up, up to her elbow revealing long white lines across her arms. "You will probably think it dreadful and unattrative that i show you this. When i was a child, i was running an errand for my okiya. A man kidnapped me thinking i was his run away Kamuro. I had to spend four days in that brothel before my mother and the mother of our okiya found me! In the meantime a man came in looking for a young girl to toture, and liked me. He cut up my arms and legs, beat me for awhile and left, paying a large amount of money just to take out his aggression on a child." She sighed and then laughed. "Some people have problems no?"

I turn my head back. I eye the scars on her arms. My hand goes my to cover my person and my eyes widen. I say gently, and softly. OH! But Hai. All people have their quirks. But what excally does a geshia do? And what is a okiya, a yujo, a maiko, and a tayu? For you see, being a Ronin, I was cast out of towns, by their rich leaders. I've taken up many skills in my journeys, back and forth across Japan, and into other countries. I've been a farmer, a sailor, merchant, and more. I've been fighting since I've been little. For life, for liberty, for money. Through all of this, I still follow the code of Bushido that my Sensei taught me long ago. It's strange, I don't know why I'm telling you all of this. Um... may I? I slowly extend my hand towards her arm. (How do I get one of those sigges like yours, that is a shortcut to the guild?)

Geisha are artists skilled in dance, song, and conversation among other things. Tayuu are very highly ranked courteseans (prostitutes) and Yujo are lower ranked ladies of pleasure. We all have a rank of some sort. Nitta and I are head geisha of our okiya's, and we have worked hard to become such." Kyoku looked down at his hand slowly and extended her arm back towards him. "Oh...of course."

"I am Makoto, I am not a head geisha but I do help the head Geisha of my okiya. I am still a very young Geisha myself, not at all as sessoned as Nitta, and Kyoku."

Mitsuka peeked into the room. Nothing was happening in her Okiya so she decided to go to somewhere she had never been, the only place being the pagoda. She was happy to see some familiar faces. Even though she wasn't sure if she could come in and listen to the conversation so all she could do was stand rather akwardly at the door.
"Um...Do you mind if I can come in for a bit?"

Akira stood up and placed his tab onto the counter of the bar. He looked at the girl standing at the door (Mitsuka) and proceeded to walk towards her. He came to a halt, towering over her petite form. He just stood there, looking at her. "Are you going to stand there all day? Or would you like a drink?" It was more of a statement than a question, but he held no sign of a threat in his monotonus tone. He stood there, watching her impassively through one eye, the other hidden by his long black hair.
