The original game, hands down. I do have to admit that Advent Children's graphics and fight scenes took my breath away, but the game still has more to offer.

Vintage Zero dragon_sword I also have to agree the were both great but AC just left me wanting more. I think they're equal, and they have an FF7 anime now called Before Crisis. And I think the way AC ended left it perfectly.

There is no way that one can possibly compare the two, thoug many seem to try.
To me, AC was an extra bit of closure. This is what happens after Sephiroth is defeated. This is what the world becomes. Yes, Midgar is destroyed, but this is how the survivors continue their lives.
If anything, I consider them one in the same, considering one is a continuation of another. Sure, AC had better graphics, and was far less tedious and time consuming, but it would be nothing without the build-up of FFVII. It would be like: "Who is Cloud... Sounds like a hippy." "WTF is materia?" "Who is that bad mofo with the white hair? Is it a chick?"
And that my friends, is a world I could not live in.
In short, both.

oi...THe advent children is a good movie...but it wouldn't have come if it weren't for FFVII. Besides, you actually get to PLAY FFVII. So, FFVII is lots better in my opinion.

So, FFVII is lots better in my opinion. very true, even though the movie has great graphics, the actual game rocks, though it would be cool if they made the game again with bettr graphics

The game was better than AC in my opinion, It just seem to have a stronger story and was just more enjoyable for me. AC isn't bad, its got great CGI and kickass action sequences, but story wise I felt it lacked a bit. Also you get to see the story of the other characters.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE GAME!!! I'm a big FFVII fan, but Advent Children was a disappointment. It had a weak story. I do admit that the visuals and the battle scenes are bad a**!!! I also like how it shows what happened to the planet in the aftermath of Meteor and Holy. My homie firecrouch wrote the first part of a two part review of the movie in his journal if you're interested check it out, its worth reading. 4laugh Anywayz I did like the Last Order OVA and I hope Crisis Core turns out to be good (I'll even buy a PSP for that s**t!!!), 'cause other wise, this whole compliation of FFVII thing has been pretty dull... sweatdrop

I like them both. However, Advent children for me was all about fighting. I'm sure everybody's okay with that, but i was hoping that Tifa and Cloud shared a little time together than talking.Like a good love story!!! mad In the game, when they got to Golden Saucer, there was a time for them to remember. Cloud was sooo serious in the movie.
