((who said i was going to go over pg-13? anything is more interesting than cooking stare and you are talking to someone who can burn water. so everyone figured out. i burnt the toffees, toffees have water, yadda yadda yadda))
"And you know why they are the tastiest cookies? Cos this time they went in the oven and not over the walls." Tala pinned Kai with a stare as he took a bit of his own cookie.

Bryan looked at Brooklyn. "Really? Well then you'll just have keep dying, wont you? I'm me, that's it."
Bryan really wasn't used to all this attention. He sighed and looked around again, noticing a clock on the wall, he stared at it until he could make out the time.
"Crap, i need to go soon or my sister is going to kill me."
((yer i gave him siblings, so sue me.))

Brooklyn tried to hide his disappointment and failed, taking a gulp of his coffee to try and prevent Bryan from seeing his face.
"O-ok." He stuttered out. He attempted a smile. "I would hate for your sister to kill you now."

"Is that implying something?" Kai asked, admiring the way that Tala managed to turn something so simple as biting a cookie into something sensual.
Godammit I am just -that- lucky He decided as he continued to watch Tala.

Tala raised an eyebrow and smirked. "do you want it to imply something?"
He continued to eat his cookie.

Bryan stood up and smirked.
"Don't worry, she won't really kill me, she's only six." He looked over at Brooklyn. "Thanks, for the coffee, i'll pay you back sometime."
He started to walk out before turning again and offering a smile.
"And whatever the hell is bothering you, it'll work out, okay?"

Brooklyn blinked. He hadn't been that obvious had he? "O-ok." He said slowly, waving vaguely at Bryan as he walked away.
"Thanks." He whispered into his coffee cup.
That helped

Kai smirked. "It depends." He walked over to where Tala was and stole the cookie he was holding before eating it himself. "Would implying something get me somewhere?"
He grinned evilly and closed his eyes, enjoying the taste of the stolen cookie.

(( i think, we need to get them back to school, cos the rp is spiralling down into the catacombs of guttermindedness and storyline-that-goes-no-where. ^^ but thats my opinion. and where's the fluffy shounen-ai fluff? *is in extremely fluffy romance type mood*))
Tala acted shock at the fact that his cookie was stolen. "Well taking my cookie isn't going to help things. " He smirked. "And you know you would get somewhere if you asked."
And by ask, Tala meant beg.

Bryan walked out of the cafe and growled up at the sky, which had decided it wanted to rain on everyone.
Muttering darkly, he started walking down the path.

~Next Day~
Kai walked slowly to school, enjoying the feel of the breeze on his cheeks. Tala hadn't left until very late the last night. Kai wasn't complaining.
He shifted the position of his bag on his shoulder and sighed, wondering what kinds of hell today would bring. Now that he looked back on exactly how publicly affectionate he had been with Tala in the halls of the school in front of people Kai was beginning to regret it.
Not regret being with Tala. Just regret how many people he had shown their relationship to. Kai knew that what he had feared would probably happen. And he was sorry for Tala's sake.
He looked up and caught a glance of Brooklyn's orange hair before his former friend disappeared into a building.

Brooklyn leant against the wall beside the door, struggling to control himself. He had only glimpsed Kai. How did the bluenette manage to make him feel dead inside when he wasn't even within ten feet of him?
Brooklyn sighed and gripped his hair, pulling it until the pain brought him back into reality. He could deal with this. He had to.

Bryan walked down the halls, thankful that everyone still feared him and avoided him like the plague. It made walking through the busy hallways easy. He spotted Brooklyn leaning against the wall and shook his head. as he passed the other, he lightly bapped him on the head.
"Pulling you're hair wont look good, y'know."

Tala walked to school in a trance. He wasn't quite sure if he was awake or if he was asleep. Maybe he was sleep walking? It was way too early in the morning. Way too early. Why couldn't they have night school, when he was awake?!
He shook his head and yawned, effectively running into someone.
"Sorry," he mutteres before continuing to walk in his half-awake, half-asleep state.

"Freak." The person Tala had bumped into muttered before quickly walking away from the redhead.
Kai caught sight of Tala's hair and called out to him to wait, quickening his step and ignoring the way that the crowd parted to get out of his way.
He had expected something like this to happen when his and Tala's relationship became public. What he didn't know was if Tala had expected it.

Brooklyn grinned when he saw Bryan and slowly let go of his hair. "Don't you think being bald would make me look older and wiser?" He asked, teasingly.
"So I'm taking your appearance as confirmation that your sister didn't kill you then?"

Bryan raised an eyebrow. "Older and wiser? Heh, maybe when you age about 20 more years."
Bryan sighed. "Kill me? No, but im going to have nightmares about tea parties and Mr Fuzzy Bear." He grinned at brooklyn.

Tala's eyes snapped open. "Freak? My, my, i think the school's vocabulary got smaller."
Tala looked around and noticed everyone staring at him. He raised an eyebrow at them all. When they didn't look away he glared at them icily, "Yes?" he demanded.

The crowd ignored Tala and continued to watch him, some looking at the redhead with curiosity others with hostility.
"Tala!" Kai called, finding the redhead in the crowd and moving to stand beside him. He glanced around at the people still watching them.
"Now would be about the time to beat a hasty retreat, no?" He asked lazily looking down at his lover.

Brooklyn laughed. "Mr Fuzzy Bear? That's classic!" He caught sight of the time and cursed quietly.
"I have to go and hand in an assignment. I've got about five minutes." He told Bryan before walking away.
He forgot that he was walking past the door.
Brooklyn paused when he saw the two different coloured tufts of hair. One a bright red and the other a slate blue. He felt tears begin to form in his eyes as he continued to watch them, transfixed. He couldn't stop himself or move.

Bryan watched Brooklyn go and shook his head. The door was right there. He looked over at him again and raised an eyebrow in puzzlement. Brooklyn was just standing there.
"Brooklyn?" he asked but when he got know response he walked over and placed a hand on the others shoulder.
"Hello?"

Tala looked at Kai and shrugged. "Whatever sounds good to you."
He yawned. "It's the morning, i really don't feel like putting up with this s**t today."
He walked over to the edge of the crowd and pushed his way through. Making use of his elbows this time.

Kai smirked and followed Tala through the crowd, proud that he had managed to teach the redhead something even if it was only how to use his elbows.
"Do you ever feel like putting up with s**t?" Kai enquired as they broke the crowd and he could move up to walk beside Tala.
He quickly scanned his timetable, seeing that first they had their beloved English class. That was going to be fun.

Brooklyn watched them leave, ignoring Bryan's hand and concentrating on the pain that started in his gut and was rolling about his frame in waves.
They couldn't even go back to pretending that they were even less than friends. They couldn't even do that
Brooklyn let out a choked sob as he watched them walk away and into one of the buildings.

Bryan actually got worried when the other teen made that sound.
Yes, for once he was worried.
He walked in front of the other and waved a hand in front of his face.
"Hey, don't make start calling you kidd again, cos i will if it snaps you out of this trance." He smiled softly at the other.

"Mmrrmm," was what Tala managed to say before he went back into his sleep walking trance. He really hoped that Kai would make sure he didn't run into anything.
This was an interesting start to the day. Everyone was acting weird. Kai had obviously not said anything to Brooklyn and Tala had to wake up and talk before his first class. One thing was for sure, if anybody else decided to cuase trouble for him, they were going to get the icy glare from hell.
Yes that mad no sense, but Tala wasn't awake yet.

Kai sighed and shook his head ruefully. "Come on, Tala. You actually do have to wake up. Morning? Remember that? The evil thing that tortures you every day?"
On seeing Tala's sleepily dopey face, Kai smirked. "Yes! That's the one! I'm so glad we're on the same page!" He sighed and steered Tala around a corner toward the redhead's locker.
"Come on. You have to be awake before English- we're probably going to be pulled up in front of the class and asked why we didn't get to the office. I don't really feel like telling her the truth, do you?"

Brooklyn ignored Bryan's words, instead sensing a warm body close by. He took Bryan's hand in his own and threw himself at the other teen, burying his head in the folds of Bryan's clothes, seeking some form of comfort in Bryan's warmth.
Brooklyn allowed the sobs that he been begging to get out since his last encounter with Bryan rack his frame, leaving him with no choice but to cling to the other to stop himself from falling.

Bryan's eyes widened at the abruptness of the other's actions. He looked down at Brooklyn and raised an eyebrow. he obviously wasn't goint to get any explanation out of the other teen anytime soon. He looked around at everyone else before sighing and wrapping his own arms around the distraught Brooklyn.
He hadn't comforted anybody lately, but this felt right, He hopped it was, anyways.
He rested his chin on the other's head and hugged him close, not wanting him to fall over, and waited for him to cry all his worries out.

"Mmm," Tala mumbled as he shook his head and yawned. When they reached his locker, he took his books out and closed it again before turning to Kai with a sleepy smile.
"Sorry, my hunt this morning wasn't very successful." another yawn.
"and we could always tell her we were abducted by flying squirral aliens who were using talking leopards as weapons." Tala nodded, happy with his wild imagination.
