Talmaya inclined her head as Krisa laid down before her. She knelt down and rolled up her sleeves, explosing her bronzy and bony arms, the veins on the backs of her hand sticking out somewhat. She started with the lacerations, using some water she had in a cantene to wash it down, then a dry cloth to quickly pat her down, not minding getting blood on it. Then she applied the bandages, which had some sort of natural analgesic slathered on them, and tied them efficiently and tightly with apt pressure to prevent further bleeding. Having observed a slight limp she gently ran her hands over both ankles, using both to compare until she felt a definite swelling. "This could be problematic if you do not take care." Not wishing to use the bandages premedicated for cuts, she tore off a piece of her sleeve in a spirallying pattern until she had a long, ableit uneven, strip of cloth. She then took out a paste she had made earlier and put it on, hoping it would soak through the fur. It had a cold feel to it. "This will help put down the swelling..." she explained. She then wrapped up the ankle tight.
Merasha listened to Rena, then shook her head and sighed. She then glanced over towards Joe. "Chances are there is either still one wizard left who is hidden, or this was a spell bound to an item or location..." Merasha explained. "I am guessing once we leave here we'll figure out which it is... but I'm thinking we all need a rest. So long as someone is keeping on eye on all entrance ways..."

Krisa winced a bit while Talmaya worked on cleaning her wounds. But she was a warrior. Pain was no stranger, and nothing she couldn't deal with. Soon after the bandage was placed over it, the salve began to sink in and the pain started to ease.
Then Talmaya moved to her ankle and wrapped a bandage with a different salve around it. "Thank you. You seem to be a skilled healer."
She listened to the talk about rest. "I suppose it might be a good idea, but don't be slowing on my account. I can walk just fine on my hind legs and give my front a rest."

Listening to her master talking, she gave a small nod, showing she agreed with the idea. "That's a good idea. Even though we can't use magic in here it's probably safer to rest in here, rather than going out there where there could be another trap." Looking around she picked up the spear that she had thrown and spoke to herself. "Daras said I would be good with spears..I wonder if that's true.." She looked around and then held the spear in a battle pose, suddenly in awe of how good it felt. She wouldn't be able to fight yet, but she did feel like she was right for spears.

Joe looked around uneasily. "If you want to rest here, that's fine. Personally, I'd rather wait somewhere that I can use my magic, but this is fine. I'll defend the door while you all rest, if you want." He dusted himself off and made sure his sword was good to go.

((Well I think I'll take this time to discuss a few things OOCly... while I have the mental energy to do so (I should be getting better soon). As I may have said several times before, forum roleplay is new to me, and this is the first roleplay I have ever run, online or offline. There are a few things I'd like to address, which I should have addressed at the beginning.... but hindsight is 20/20.
First off, I'm glad to see we've all been playing together really nice. I was a little apprehensive because I didn't know who all would join. You all seem responsible players working well together. This is great.
Second, communication is key. If you have a problem, or a suggestion, feel free to PM me. Naturally, I may not take all suggestions, but I will consider them so long as they make sense. If you are confused, or find my methods disagreeable, say as much via PM.
Third, if you haven't noticed, I try to make consequences for each action your characters make. This will continue so long as I have the mental capacity. Any vagueness in your posts I will feel at liberty to fill in the details myself.
Lastly, while waiting can be a bore, let's try not to outpace each other. If you noticed someone hasn't had a chance to post for a while (like now - which you all have been doing which is excellent) I expect as a courtesy you will wait before taking any major action. Little conversations between two characters are fine to ride on, but anything that another person would likely react to, or would effect them, give each player a chance to post a reaction for their character. However, if a person disappears for more than a week without mentioning something, I will PM that person. If they do not respond in another two weeks, they are removed from the RP permanently. If sometime after that the player resurfaces and really wants to come back (though I can't imagine why) they can PM me and might be able to negotiate a way back in depending on circumstances.
Know this now - if you go MIA for more than two weeks, (I will put this in the rules) I will take control over your character until I can find a reason for them to be absent. Whether I kill them, trap them, get them lost, or somehow have some strange astronomical event send them hurling to yet another dimension, they will be removed. If you feel you can't continue the roleplay, please PM me and work out what you want done with your character. Inconsistencies upset me.
Okay, well I'm exhausted and going to go lie down now. Happy hunting. Er... it isn't politically incorrect to say that, is it?))

((I apologize for the delay, my illness was more severe than initially thought.))
Looking around Dara comments, "Mieet I aaask which door you speak of? The oonly one leading out of this place, that Ieee saw, was then one over there," gesturing toward the spikey wood sticking out of the wall, "that I of decided to, kind of make it not there anymore. Heh." He says kind of sheepishly. "But fraanklee I think weee would be better off in the antee-magic area than out of it. You know, enemy mageees and all."
Commenting on other things said, "Weeeell, if this is really the first time you have thrown a spear, then you do need, my dear! If I had to guess on the anteee-magic field I'd say it is still up because of the mage that got away. Ran oout before I got the door, you seeee."
"If yoooou would all be so kiiieend as to excuuuse me I am going to take a small nap now." With that, the small creature collapses to the floor, snoring rather loudly.

Talmaya's salves were starting to work, and she heard Joe's concerns, but when she saw Daras curl up and fall asleep, she couldn't help but smile a little. "Well, I suppose that answers that. And Daras and Rena do have a point. At least here, we know that there aren't any traps."
She settled herself into as comfortable a position as she could and laid her head down on her uninjured leg, half closing her eyes so that she could rest but be ready to fight at a moment's notice.

((All is well, Jacior, all is well. The important thing is feeling better.))
"Well, then it is decided. We'll rest here for a time. Joe can keep an eye on the doorway, and the rest of us can rest our weary minds and bodies," Merasha said. She grunted as she squatted down and carefully rocked back, placing her hands on the stone floor and easing into a seated position. She put her legs out in front of her and then redraped her skirt and robes to recover the bit of gray skin showing on her plump calves. She glanced over at Daras as he curled up and was instantly asleep. "Oh and here I thought he'd be badgering me about more information.... ah well. Good fight everyone, good fight."
Talmaya's eyes shifted about the room. Finally she took in a deep breath, raising herself to her full height and squaring her shoulders. She walked over to where Joe was standing guard, casting her eyes down at the ground for a moment. "Perhaps an apology is in order... I acted very hostile towards you when you were only aiming to assist." Pauses in her speech made it clear that she was placing her words very carefully.

Joe sighed inwardly as everyone settled down to rest. If they were really that tired after that minor amount of fighting, then Joe was going to have to carry a lot more weight for the group than he had initially thought. Ah well.
Talmaya spoke and Joe turned with a smile. "No need to worry about it," he said quietly, not wanted to bother the others. "Maybe I was a bit too hasty in forcing my assistance on you, you know? I'm told I do that sometimes. You know, back in my own world..." He trailed off as he thought about home.

Rena was still full of energy and flying around in the air, practicing her spear throwing. She had set up a makeshift target out of random objects on the ground, and when she threw her spear, she missed on multiple occasions, only hitting it on a rare moment of luck. Feeling a bit agitated about it, she flew over to Joe and complained. "This is really hard! Do you know how to throw spears? I need some tips on how to get better."

Joe grabbed a spear and threw it with a soft grunt, sending it straight across the room to stick into the wall with a dull thud. He smiled at the little fairy. "You should see what I can do with a little wind magic. I've chucked a spear a good, oh...mile and a half, I think it was. Almost hit the Shadowman out there, too."
He picked up another one and began to imitate his throw. "See, the trick is to turn your body into the throw, get a bit of torque. If you have your wind magic, you should focus it behind and around the spear to keep it moving straight forward. And then, you..." Joe kept talking, teaching Rena the finer points of throwing a spear for the better part of ten minutes.

She was amazed that he was so good at it, and when he began to explain how to throw it, and where to apply her wind magic, she listened eagerly. When the full lesson was done, she felt that she knew a whole lot more than before. Picking up a spear, she flew into the air and, using the technique Joe suggested, she launched it out and got closer to her target than she had ever done before. It would take a bit more practice, but it was obvious that she was on the right track now. "Wow I got so close to it! Thank you Joe, I'll practice some more and soon I'll be as good as you are, just you wait!"

Merasha watched the ongoing activities around here, mainly Joe and Rena. There was a thoughtful expression on her face as she rested her feet, which were a chore to stay on for long periods of time due to her weight. "Well we won't have to wait here long... just to catch our breath, as it were."
Talmaya remained fairly deadpan as Joe spoke, but her own eyes wandered as if to peer into limbo, her thoughts shifting from then and there to what was. After a moment of reverie she snapped her eyes back to Joe. "I am sure your culture is very different from my own. I am not accustomed to being touched by anyone without my or my hu..." Talmaya cut off her sentence when she saw Rena approach. She inclined her head and stepped away. Remembering her place she slunk away and stood a ways from everyone, quietly observing them.
