Eos began heading in the direction he nudged her in. She turned a bright pink when he spoke again. "I keep forgetting we can hear each others thoughts."

Eos nodded. She had encountered many strange things since she first met and burned him. She was however taking most of it in. Hearing his thoughts made her blush. It certainly was intimate speaking mind to mind. Oooohhhhh! It's going to take me so long to get used to this.

Eos shook her head. "No I'm not very brave.... I'm mostly scared out of my mind." She said out loud. It's not so bad when I'm around you though.

She noticed him reaching for her and took a step closer to him. It's not you I'm scared of so much. It's the Valley here and the dark. I'm not used to the dark. And I've heard of terrible things that live here and that happen here.

He tentatively wrapped his arms around Eos. "You are safe with me, Eos. No one will harm you. Nothing you do not wish to will happen to you."

Instead of stiffing up on him, Eos leaned into him. "Somehow you make me feel safe and believe that nothing will harm me. Is that because of the whole lifemate thing?"

"It must be nice to know when someone is lying to you." She said looking up at him, "I do believe I am coming to trust you.... and depend on you. If you were not here I'd be scared silly. I'm depending on you to keep me feeling safe." The last thing he said certainly sounded nice and felt completely true. She did feel like she belonged with him, no matter how strange the things he told her were or how uneasy she felt at times.

Eos chuckled at that. It was quite interesting to think of, him trying to keep her from getting a hangnail. "You'll certainly be busy keeping me safe and free of hangnails."
