The two dragons were soon on the dance floor, not too far away from Ziaram and a blue haired girl. For some reason, Roy thought she looked familiar, but it was probably because he knew his own blue haired girl that was close to his age.

Nevertheless, they began to dance.

"You don't dance much? Strange...I thought dancing was something the nobility did often." he said as they waltzed.

The young lord had enough experience with dancing, with all the formal balls that happened back in Pherae. He could still remember his father and mother dancing happily at such festivities, and later it was him and Lilina that shared such dancing at the balls when they were still young children.

...Why were his thoughts on Lord Hector's daughter now of all times?

You host a party, a fight breaks out. It's simply how things worked around here when the Host Club put a party on; there was no surprise to it by this point. He WAS irked by the damage to the bar, but the drinks were fine, and FD knew better than to do something rash in a building these (live and learn). Besides FD had finally hit a point where he was boozed up enough that nothing really came as a surprise. He wasn't going to hit the floor or have to be dragged off, but wouldn't be walking any straight lines any time soon. Just a couple more drinks and he'd consider calling it quits for the night. If he could still poor a glass with out making a mess, he still had a service to provide to the guests, for now at least. Meanwhile, he'd watch Melethia and Roy dance together. He liked to muse whether Roy would end up with a Dragon, Human, or something else, considering the blood that ran through his veins. And FD was very fond of Melethia: another dragon who specialized in fire, someone he could actually talk to about history with as old as they both were, and a great drinking buddy! He'd enjoy watching the two of them as he slowly continued drinking. Not that he was worried of anything happening: they were both wise people, and if things happened, they were intended to.

"Well...Amara, think of the happiest thought you can imagine. Something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Now, bring that fuzziness outside onto your skin. That is how it feels to kiss. Are you satisfied with that answer? " he answered as he was still in a tad bit of shock that she even found out what kissing was and what it felt like.

"Not in my world." Melethia said,"Most of the time the nobles were trying to kill each other. I rather not get too much into detail about that right now though. Let us dance." She was starting to move gracefully to the music. She let her body dance and say nothing else. For a person who didn't dance a whole lot and was on a slight buzz, she did well. She wanted to make sure this night was wonderful for her and him. She wasn't going to let the buzz from the vodka stop her.

Goodness, wasn't the party lively? Already, some uncivilized cretin had to be forcefully ejected from the establishment, and by a young boy, no less! Still, there would be no point in distracting oneself with matters that didn't pertain to him. So, he redirected his attention towards those he had engaged in conversation. However...

A laguz that looked oddly like his associate Lyre had appeared to slink off of her own accord. What, did his coworker have a doppelganger or something? Clever. Still, it seemed like the look-alike had drained the pep from little Lyre. Normally, from what Arashe saw, she would be bouncing about, energetic as could be. But, nothing aside from a simple hello. And what perfect timing on King Tibarn's end, dragging himself off to dance with his daughter! Left poor, demure Lyre to Arashe's conversational skills, for better or worse.

"Lyre, you certainly seem-" He was cut short indefinitely by Victoria's appearance, and her unrefined punch to his arm. Goodness, she smelled of alcohol, ew. Seemed she was by the bar, like half the part was. "Victoria, I don't exactly keep an eye out for each of my acquaintaces, you know." he said, forcing a chuckle. "If I did, I'd never have a moment to myself!" ...and she had the gall to try to coerce him into drinking! And at a massive social establishment, no less! Had she seen Dietrich in a social situation? Just being occasionally associated with that man was enough interaction with alcohol, for him. "I would, but I've had my share of irritations from being around alcohol and other people. It's just... not my thing, you understand." He really, really hoped that she wouldn't inquire as to why he didn't care for alcohol. It could take the rest of the night to tell all the stories about the trouble he got into because of Dietrich's drinking. And on top of that, the moment he would cave and go to the bar, Dietrich would show up out of nowhere and never let him live it down, ever.

"She's that curious about it...?" Sephas was shocked. Children were such mysteries, sometimes. He surely couldn't endure a little one's persistence over such a question, without going insane. But heck, Akihi was good enough for conversation, it seemed.

"...it's been one step forward, and two steps back, recently..."

Err...what was he doing here again?

Sunil merely sighed as he carried a tray holding Beorc snacks and drinks in one hand, a white cloth supported on his other arm. Dressed in Beorc waiter clothes, serving Beorcs, cleaning up after Beorcs...how much longer would they have to humiliate the poor kitty?

He HATED the Beorc clothes. Why did they make him wear shoes that narrowed out near the toes? Couldn't they also make holes in the pants so he could stick his tail out? (Yeah, he completely ignored their rules and made a hole for the tail anyway. So what if they docked his pay for damaging their clothes? He preferred comfort over looking fashionable anyway).

As he made his rounds, he noticed that there were quite a number of Laguz here. Wasn't that the Hawk King talking to some blonde male and...Ooo~ was that a Cat Laguz in Beorc clothes talking to them? And over by the buffet he helped set up and reload with food...wasn't that another Cat talking to a Tiger?

Oh glorious day! He was not the only Laguz here! This certainly brightened his mood quite a bit.

Now the question was...which group should he attempt to socialize with first? The Hawk King's group, or the group at the buffet?

He chose the Hawk King's group.

The blue haired cat approached the group, though now a blonde woman had latched herself onto the blonde male Beorc. And she reeked of booze.

"Are you all enjoying yourselves, sirs and madams?" he asked, choosing to speak formally like his job entitled him to, and because there were Beorc there. "Is there anything at all I can get you?"

His blue tail swished back and forth behind him all the while.

Arashe's somewhat concerned statement was cut off, and Lyre waved a hand anyway. She didn't bother responding, but she did give a successful "ummm what?" look aimed at Victoria. She'd have to talk to Arashe about it later, she was sure they'd be flinging injokes at each other about it the next time they were both at work. Between the two of them, they were the fastest flying gossip rag in all of Eyris- customers had recently started to stop and ask them both about what dress they should buy next, or if their husbands were cheating on them (and with who).

She was startled when another laguz approached them- and he was... wearing a servers outfit, and... it made her mood plummet further. Why was he working here and serving like he was? She supposed that everyone needed a job, but laguz certainly weren't native to Learania- he had to have come from the door from Tellius. It struck her as so odd to see him, that she stammered out a reply.

"N-no, I mean, we're, fine..."

She felt worse than before about herself, and it was slowly going to start to show, as she repeatedly played with the folds of her dress.

{I'm not switching accounts... but Victoria post is... HERE!}
Victoria actually chuckled along with Arashe. "Well, I agree with you there, I guess we're both pretty popular in Eyris, aren't we, Arashe?" She then turned to Lyre, and her grin fell into a more straight expression. "Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't interrupting your conversation, was I? That would be terribly un-ladylike of me. ... I'm trying better not to be rude."

She in the meantime wondered why he didn't want drinks, until she remembered Dietrich and his antics. While he was probably a nice young man when sober, he tried to hard not to be sober that Victoria wondered what Ayra (whom she heard from various sources was related to Dietrich) had been teaching him. Or rather, maybe the boy just wasn't listening.

Victoria shook her head. She felt a little bad for offering Arashe something that might get him in trouble, but chose not to bring up the subject. She wanted to stay friends with the Sharpshooter, after all.

When the laguz server asked her if she wanted anything, she shook her head. "No, I don't need anything at the moment, sir. I thank you for asking, though."

"Ah..." said the young lord, trying to push the thoughts of Lilina out of his mind.

He continued to dance with Mel, though he was surprised at how well she was doing despite being 1) buzzed from all the booze, and 2) not getting a lot of dance time in do to being at war so often.

"Hey...not bad."

Sunil nodded slowly, his mood plummeting as fast as it had risen. He could tell that the female cat was also bothered by the formal wear she was wearing, since she was playing with the folds of her dress. He sighed wearily.

"Wish we didn't have to wear Beorc clothing...why couldn't it have been casual wear? Nya...sometimes I wish I never stumbled through that door..." the kitty waiter said, sighing again.

He then turned, about to go head off to serve some Beorc that was calling for him. Unless Lyre or someone would say something to him.

"W-wait," Lyre reached out a hand for the laguz stranger, but pulled her hand back when she realized what she was doing. She threw a glance at Arashe, forgot to respond to Victoria, and took enough steps to catch up to him.

"I... I mean, I don't wear this because I have to." She placed her hands on her hips defiantly. "I don't know what you're doing and being so miserable about it, I like dressing up like this, if you don't like your job than just quit it." She resisted the urge to stick her tongue out. She was feeling miserable, and someone just had to rub it in. She glared at the stranger, and turned on her heel to go back to shadowing Lethe. Note that she was wearing heels, and wore them excellently and skillfully.

Take my hand as I wander through...
... All of my life, I gave to you.

Akihi nodded slowly. "She's curious about everything she doesn't understand... It's kind of a family thing. My twin and I are the same way..." He shrugged his shoulders slightly, forgetting for a moment that he might have not mentioned Alihi to Sephas before. "... 'One step forward and two steps back'? How so...?"

A tiny light-bulb flickered to life in the mage's mind as he remembered something he wanted to ask. "... I'm actually glad you're here... You see, my niece... she received a tome a while back. She didn't know what it was, though, so she showed it to me..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I could tell that it was a tome... but I couldn't tell what kind. ... Do you think you could take a look at it sometime...? I don't have it with me at the moment, but..."

Amara tilted her head slightly. It made people happy and fuzzy? It sounded kind of weird. "... So, that's what Ephie and Kishie felt like? Or mommy and Abel? Or..." She paused for a moment, looking around. She thought she saw another example earlier. "... Or anyone else?" She questioned with innocence.

"Well I work so well with the beat of a song." Melethia said.

"We seem to be having alot of fun." She thought as they dance some more. "But do you think I should tell him? Tell him how I feel?" She sighed, for she didn't know what to do in this situation. Usually it was the men telling her how they felt, but this time it was the other way around.

"I'm not so sure if it is for them. I know this was the way it was with me." he said nostalgically as he smiled and knelled and touched Amara on the shoulder. "You'll understand better when you are older Amara." he reassured. "Anything else you'd like to know?"

Sunil stopped and turned to look at the cat laguz. He then blinked in surprise. Wasn't this Lyre? Aye...he remembered her from Tellius, though he was more familiar with her twin sister Lethe. So that other kitty he saw near the buffet table must have been Lethe. It didn't matter if either of the twins remembered him. After all, he was the one that disappeared a few years back. They probably took it as desertion or something similar.

She said her bit, and was now walking over towards her sister. Sunil sighed.

"Wait." He said, taking a few steps after her.

Oh good, another waiter was coming. He shoved all the stuff on his tray over to the Beorc's tray and told him to go help that one Beorc that called for him earlier, then caught up with Lyre.

"I'm sorry if it sounded like I hate this job. The job I don't mind. These particular clothes I do mind, especially since I had to alter it to make room for my tail" he said. The kitty then smirked and brought a hand up to his chin after he had set the tray under his arm. "Though, I must say...you certainly look stunning in those Beorc clothes, Lyre. Your sister too."

Before she could say anything more, he heard someone shout out his name. "Well, I best be off. Maybe we'll talk again soon."

And with that, Sunil walked off to refill his tray and serve more Beorcs, though it was pretty obvious his mood has gone up a little from their small talk.

"That's good to hear." said Roy with a smile.

He continued to dance with Mel, and at the right moment, he dipped her back. The young lord wasn't aware of what was on the girl's mind, but he did notice she was thinking about something. He didn't say anything about it though.

Well, wasn't this unexpected. Another one of those laguz seemed to appear out of thin air! Lyre looked so happy, too, quite the contrast to her previous sadness. ... but the kid was a waiter. A waiter, really? He was perfect for Lyre, she was a Hostess! They'd be like one of the romances that were allegedly arranged through comrades of arms back in the generation of his parents. Except less girls clawing each others' eyes out in rage and envy. Less alleged incest one some ends, too.

But, as soon as he had departed, Lyre had pursued. Good for her, she was quick. Arashe couldn't make out what the two were saying to each other, but it looked like an improvement to both of their moods. The Ranger's happiness for his coworker deflated, though, as the blue laguz was already skittering off to return to his job. Of course, this left Arashe to see his friend be left behind like that. Totally not nice.

So, he gave Victoria a small wave, and walked briskly over towards Lyre. Victoria would be able to enjoy herself without him right there, he hoped. But, Arashe only gave the cat a "Hey" as he approached, placing a hand on her shoulder to get her attention.

"You do know his name, right Lyre?" Arashe couldn't help but snicker at the possibility that she didn't know the boy's name. What kind of gossipmonger would she be, if she didn't know a new kid's name, hm? "...you like him, don't you?"
