Ethfael "Yes, that I am, my name is Ethfael." the Dragonair replied, nodding politely to his companion. "And yourself? I don't believe you are a member such as I." He knew that this Gardevoir was different than the average Guild member that one would encounter, and yet if he were part of a well-respected Team, Ethfael felt he would surely have heard of him.
As silence fell again, the Dragonair's own attention was drawn, not on the sky as his companion's had been, but to the water in the fountain. He could see his own reflection in it since the water was still and undisturbed, as well as a few coins sparkling down in its depths. Pokemon were optimistic beings by nature, on the whole at least, and they all wanted to believe that everything would work out in the end and that little things like wishes could help. It made him smile a bit sadly, there was a time when he'd believed in wishes, but that time had long passed. Now he lived with the harsh realities of life and dealt with them himself, in a way granting the wishes of other Pokemon by doing so. "Wishes..." he murmured, mostly to himself, as he stared down into the pool, "What fickle things they are."

Javs"I am not." Saying 'Oh, I work for Alfred's mother' sounded a bit extreme given the Gardevoir's condition. "I'm familiar with the guilds, though." He'd honestly rather not work for them too. He went silent for a moment as his eyes reopened, watching Ethfael stare into the water. What was so interesting about it wasn't really on his priorities. "I'm Javs. It's nice to meet you..." His voice faded out and his expression turned a bit blank as Ethfael trailed off. Wishes? His expression reverted to it's neutral self after a moment. "Fickle, you say... Why's that?" Javs' slow hover stopped as he examined the Dragonair. Wishes were a common subject, but hardly referred to as fickle. At least, from what he's seen and heard.

Ethfael Ethfael blinked in surprise at having caught his companion's attention with his offhanded comment. "Well everyone has a wish, whether or not they choose to admit it, and that wish can come to drive them for better or for worse throughout their life," he said, tone still soft as if not wanting to disturb the silence, "The problem is that we cannot depend on a wish because that alone will never be the only answer. If it's something you want you have to do at least a part of it yourself, life isn't handed to us on a silver platter." He shook his head, "So I say wishes are fickle because of their very nature, they change on us, or stay the same and yet they never will achieve themselves. Sometimes they're difficult, sometimes they're easy, but always they are excuses that people lean on for support, and if they give out the person is lost although they should have been using the wish as a beginning, not a means, from the very start." The Dragonair looked at the moon reflected in the water and then up at the moon in the sky, "You have to be careful with them though, for in the end they're just illusions."

JavsJavs remained silent as the Dragonair explained his seemingly random statement. He'd clearly been thinking about such a topic for a while... Maybe the thoughts just came to him as he spoke, though. He himself was a far better thinker that way. The Gardevoir smiled slightly as he closed his dilated eyes again and his guard was let down for the most part. Intelligence was nice. "Have it exist or not, if it's something someone can fall on, what else matters?" It played out as a statement, having not believed such logic himself. "Ignorance is all around us. Does it surprise you?" Javs hovered uploads slightly as he sat himself down in the air, gathering his thoughts. "I can't imagine a wish itself changing, but the holder of, instead. Power is rather destructive."
The Gardevoir paused. He took his time. "You speak broadly... Then again, why would someone take something like a wish lightly? If it's safe to assume so, then of course it would never come true." Thus, leading to his next point. You need to do your part as well. "It's pathetic." That last statement came out a bit darker, as if placing himself above such ideas.

Ethfael Ethfael nodded, listening to Javs' counter interpretation with a slight smile on his face. It pleased him that the Gardevoir had not only listened to his statement, but gone along with it as well; it was a rare occasion that he was able to speak to anyone like this. "I believe you're right about that," he responded to Javs' comment about ignorance and wishes, "That's the reason why, although I disapprove of them myself, I don't bother others with their own. Some people need the strength a wish can provide to move them forward and that can become a powerful thing." To crush the dreams of another was crueler than most punishments in his own mind; spreading hopelessness in the world that they lived in today was unforgivable as well as unnecessary.
When Javs continued after his brief silence, Ethfael took in his words with subdued contemplation, thinking about what the Gardevoir had said. It paralleled his own point, and yet was subtly different. "It's a very shallow thing," he said at last, "To take a wish lightly. But still there are plenty of those who do just that." He sighed, "Then again, there are enough problems in the world without coming up with move to trouble us, no?"

Javs"Those that take it lightly are hardly heard through their high expectation counterparts." His eyes closed as he straightened his posture again. He seemed to almost dangle there as he looked off elsewhere, unfocused when his eyes reopened. An active thinker. He was highly against the aspect of wishes, though he remained silent about it. Where he stood was clear, but he made no attempt to reply as so. It just felt like a false hope. You have it, you depend on it, you lose sight to it, you become corrupt... the list goes on. If one being truly made a worth while wish, would they be in this position now? After all this time? Did they never look at the big picture and instead handled things in parts? He wasn't sure.
The Gardevoir's head turned down in his messy thoughts, turning to Ethfael moments after. "Wishes would only complicate things further. I hope for you regardless." He turned off to the side, though his eyes remained on the Dragonair. "Maybe wishes in hands such as yours would bring light to such a world. When will we meet again, I wonder?" His head turned off toward the sky as he asked before vanishing, his teleport's screech ringing out into an echo.

Ethfael Ethfael winced a bit at the loud screech of the Teleport as Javs vanished from sight. He'd left the Dragonair a great deal to think about at least; along with a rather curious well wish. Now that the Gardevoir was gone it was almost as if he'd never been there to begin with; even the grass where he had stood wasn't bent down since Javs preferred to float in midair. Ethfael shook his head feeling slightly discombobulated; it was enough to make one think that they'd imagined it all. He was fairly certain he hadn't though, he doubted that a figment of his imagination would choose to take the form of a Gardevoir, and besides there was one thing that made him certain Javs was real. "Wishes do already complicate things further," he murmured, voicing his thoughts out loud although his companion had left, "That's part of the reason why things are the way they are, because even Legends, even Darkrai, even Arceus has a wish, and therein is where the problems begin." On that note, he look on last long look at the fountain before turning to head back. His mind was more at peace now, and he could head back to the harsh reality of life once more.

Sirius Sirius sighed, tossing his head back in the nice breeze that started up. It was a nice day; cottonpuff clouds hovering in the sky, sun blazing brightly, casting a yellow glow over the scene. Sirius just felt like he needed a break from all the guild business; which was kind of embarassing, seeing he had just formed his exploration team a scarce few weeks ago. A break from his hyperactively childish second-in-command was quite nice as well. The poor cub was so shy about his appearance, it nearly killed him to go to that sparring event. The centaur sighed and shook out his mane, burning brightly as he basked in the sunlight.
He made his way over to the fountain centerpiece, gleaming and polished in all its glory as it gushed out jets of water. He splashed a hand in the cool liquid, grimacing. He still wasn't a big fan of large bodies of water and all, but what hurt could a little splash do? Sirius stood next to the centerpiece, resting a hand on its rough stony surface. Back at the arena, he thought he saw some grey equine with a firey mane, though it looked... different somehow. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, because the instance he glanced over, the figure had dissapeared from sight into the flooding crowd that was moving off the bleachers after the games were over. Sirius shrugged; his mind must have been playing tricks on him, surely.

( Saraph )Saraph had only one thing on his mind - get out of the team room. He didn't know to where, but he knew he wanted out. He very easily picked up on Joey's distrust, and while he couldn't blame the Audino it still didn't make him feel very well about himself. He was, in a sense, a product of hell...thats not something you would willingly let into your home.
And then there was that other thing. It had been scratching at the back of his head since the practice fights, the other one that Vertigo had pointed out. It had to be real, there had to be another one, and if he didn't find that other hybrid soon he'd go mad. It was already invading his thoughts, and soon enough it would be all he thought about. His mind had a habit of doing that.
Well, it was also a nice day, great for exploring the outside world. A courtyard was nice, Blue himself had suggested it. Push those thoughts out of your mind, Raphy, think about somethi- No, the other one was near, he could feel it. He could see it too, some few feet away. Now or never.
His hooves made low, gentle sounds as he walked forwards, but he stopped mid-way. 'Urk, what should I even say! This is stupid, you should turn back, what if he's not even real! This isn't the first time your own imagination tricked you!' he thought to himself, more and more thoughts surfacing as he tried to figure out what he should do.
The result? A Ralts/Ponyta that stood dead still with a confused expression like an idiot.

Sirius Sirius's transe was broken by the sound of hoofclods heading toward him, just stopping some ways behind where he stood. Curious, he turned around and froze, eyes widened slightly. Not twenty feet away was a centaur; like himself. Saraph's grey pelt gleamed in the lighting, mane flickering in the wind, an equally dazed look on his face. Sirius's voice stopped in his throat; he knew not whether to cry in alarm or joy or even how to react. Tilting his head slightly, he began to slowly make his way over to the Ralts, his steps hesitant. Could it really be? Another like himself? Or perhaps it was a mere trick of the light--The equine blinked a few times disbelievingly as if daring Saraph's image to flicker and fade. He was amazingly real... a shadow was cast under him and his flames gave off heat. He felt as if he wouldn't believe it until he could verify... "Are you..." His voice trailed off, still shocked and amazed, not knowing what to say next. Are you real? Who are you? Am I really seeing this? A mixture of alertness and doubt with a hint of curiousity and puzzlement showing up on his face.

( Saraph )The other hybrid was walking up to him, Saraph was sure this was no mistake by now. He wasn't able to pick up emotions like this from a trick. Of course, the very emotion he was taking in started to overpower his, and soon he stared back at Sirius with a face similar to what the other Centaurs was like...well, without the eyes. He'd need to get himself some hairclips or something soon.
"I-" He stopped, a low gulp as he took a nervous swallow. "...Saraph. My name is Saraph. Er, Raph...and you are?"

Sirius Sirius's face broke into a smile and he replied, "Sirius; pleasure to meet you, Raph." All the while thinking, ye gods, I'm really talking to another Pokemon almost identical to myself. Giddyness welled up inside him--he thought this day would never come! "Raph, where are you from? If you don't mind me asking." The equine was, after all, extremely curious about his origins. Were there others like him? Surely he couldn't have just have poofed out of nowhere.

( Saraph )"where are you from". Raph pondered in his thought about how to answer that. Technically, hell, but you can't just blurt that out. Thats not a good answer at all...he would have used a land his parents were from, but he didn't know that either...c'mon Raphy, you can do this...
"I'm from, um...its far away, not that many people visit. Its probably not even on any kind of map, its...its far away. I left it soon as I could, being what I am didn't really help others accept me" There was some hesitation in his answer, as if still thinking while talking...because thats exactly what he was doing. His acceptance problems had nothing to do with his body anyways, it was more of a parent thing, not a good background there.
He tried to find quick means of escape, some way to at least steer the topic out of his direction. "If its not to much of a bother, where are you from, Sirius?" yes, throw the question right back, hopefully his answer would be more pleasant.

Sirius Sirius's brow furrowed, not on any map? Were there new regions to explore? But he nodded knowingly as the equine explained he didn't want to stay there for acceptance issues. The Mawile could relate since his appearence was just as startling to most other Pokemon he knew, but Saraph seemed to be addressing something beyond physical appearances, though he didn't press him on the matter. He hesitated for a moment as Saraph asked him about his own origins. But quickly pushed it aside; surely he couldn't endanger his own herd by revealing their location. After all, Raph was basically the same kind of hybrid as he was. "I come from around the Scorched Plains area, southern territory, actually. I lived there nearly all my life, but I never seen the outside of the southern territory until now. There was a lot of traveling, though, to avoid general detection from other Pokemon." He smiled bitterly. On the occasion where slew of Mankey or other Pokemon attacked, he had to be taught how to wield a bow and protect himself. The Mankey evolution line, in particular, had been quite annoying over all the few different Pokemon he had encountered. "So, Raph, I have been so unfortunate to meet so few different kinds of Pokemon. Would it offend you to ask what exactly you are?" Throughout his times spent in the Scorched Plains and very nearby areas, they offered only select kinds of Pokemon to see. And all those of the Gardevior line were one of the many new kinds of Pokemon he had yet to meet.[[I understand. School's pretty stressful o-o so take your time; don't mind me :3]]

( Saraph )"Scorched Plains?" He would have Purple look it up later, it sounded interesting though. He would definitely have to visit some day, he hoped the herd didn't mind...while he was still kind of like them, it wasn't all the same. "Yeah, it was one heck of a trip to get here, its hard to go by unnoticed when...well, yeah"
"Oh, no, its of no offense to me. If not for books and such, I would be clueless to everything right now. I'm a Ralts, well partially at least" he thought for a moment, before looking back to Sirius. "I'm sure I know your species...its...Muh...Muh-while? Mawile? Oh goodness, I'm sure I'm not pronouncing that right..."
