Thunderpaw looked down at the pool, confused. She turned to Nightwing. "Why are these Mud Warriors killing cats?" she asked, trembling in horror.

"We don't know, really. They're cat spirits locked within mud bodies, and controled by shadows. We can't tell what these shadows are, they certainly aren't from any forest that manifests the skies, not even the dark ones know what they are." Firestar explained.

"How can you just say that?" Cometstar yowled.
"Because we knew this was going to happen!" Watersong countered. The whole of StarClan became silenced as they looked at him in shock. "Don't any of you dare feign ignorance to this. We all knew this was going to happen from the moment our very first ancestors built clans on this ground. It was cursed with the blood of many things before we even came to these ground. This valley, the sacrificing grounds of human ancestors, we should have known better than to make homes on such sinful ground."
"He's right!" Silverstar put in. "We can't stop what's going to happen from happening, but we can make sure that it will never happen again. Just as I relocated the FogClan refugees, we can relocate our cats."
"How? We can't relocate them if they're all dead!" Moonstar meowed.
"You're right, we can't relocate them, but we can relocate our homes. Sure, maybe the cats that are in the future Clans won't be our blood relatives, but that doesn't mean we can't watch over them." Silverstar's eyes flashed as she readied herself to explain her plan, "Here's what we'll do."
((Most of you know what she does, but don't say anything. Just smile and nod. XD))

Stormstar gasped as she was in StarClan. She couldn't believe it. She had died.
Stormstar casted a glare at Cinderstar, who was sitting beside her. "This is all of your fault! You could have healed me, but you didn't!" she yowled. "Now, we have a cat who barely knows the way to his tail on our paws as the new leader of TwilightClan!"
Cinderstar looked back, a saddness in her eyes that sickened Stormstar. "I couldn't heal you. What would be the use? You were just going to die, again and again, until you finally gave up your last life; for nothing! They're all going to die, we can't ignore that fact!"
Stormstar yowled in fury and leapt onto Cinderstar with her claws unsheathed.
Cinderstar laughed maniacally and easily pushed the younger leader off. "You can't kill me, darling. I'm already dead!"
Stormstar spat and slashed her claws across the Cinderstar's almost purely silver muzzle. Blood trickled out, and Stormstar flicked her tail in triumph.
Cinderstar winced in pain, her eyes watering. She changed the subject. "Either way, Shadowfrost will learn to be responsible and how to lead his Clan, if they survive." Cinderstar flicked her tail and set it onto Stormstar's shoulder. "That is why you chose him as deputy, right?"
Stormstar shook her head. "I only chose Shadowfrost because he was the only one that qualified. That is the only, and I mean only reason I chose him as my deputy."

Silverfur sighed as she saw Stormstar approach. "Sorry. I trust Shadowfrost to lead us out of this, though." She mewed.

Stormstar looked at Silverfur sympathetically. "I only wish I was so sure," she replied, looking at her paws, and then back at Silverfur. "What happened?" she asked, referring to how Silverfur died.

Stormstar laughed involuntarily. "At least you didn't lose all of your lives from a boulder and a stupid cat," she meowed, targeting the reply to Cinderstar.

Silverfur shook her head. "Well, technically I did lose all my lives, but not to the same things as you did. But let's not worry about the technicalities. Look, Shadowfrost is going to go get his nine lives. We've already decided who's coming." She mewed, nodding to the other cats who had fanned out behind her. "You coming, Stormstar?"

Stormstar hesitated. "I guess," she mewed, padding toward Silverfur.
((Hey Krystal! If you noticed in Rising Ruins in my cat Quixote's profile, it tells you how Stormstar was going to die! I decided to put it in at last or so minute. ^^))

Silverfur nodded to the other cats behind her and smiled.
Littlestrike grinned happily. "I never expected Shadowfrost to become leader!" He mewed.
Redmoon and Stormpelt nodded in agreement.
Angelshine smiled. "Another day, another leader!" She mewed. Then she turned to look at Stormstar. "So sorry about your death..." She mewed.
Snowdust smiled in agreement, then turned to Stormstar. "StarClan isn't controlling this anymore..."
Rainstripe shook his head. "Whatever is happening to the valley cats is no longer under our control."
Blizzardleap shook his head. "What's the point of granting lives to cats that can't even hold on to one life?" He mewed.

((Yes, and no kingofjokers, StarClan is powerless to stop the total annihilation, but they're going to stick around until everyone who is able is in StarClan.))

Dawnstar looked up. "I'm going to give him a life, if the rest of you won't. Don't you want him to think he has a chance? That he has the full of StarClan at his side? Becuase then he will have to lie to his clanmates saying he received his lives, and that leads to comotion and disloyalty." she said. Rolling her eyes, she added," And I have always liked that cat."
