Silent Comet Vice Captain

Rosel frowned irritably and looked to the window. There was an awful racket somewhere outside, like a hundred planks of wood slowly splintering and breaking.
Or like a massive fire.
Harsh yellow firelight lit up the window from the outside, filling the view from the glass. Rosel hit the floor a moment too late and a stab of pain sliced across her back. The sound of the explosion seemed to hit a moment later, the boom rattling her teeth and echoing through her ribcage. Even through the heat of the fire now filling their room, Rosel felt the hot liquid of her veins spilling down her back. The heavy breath of panic and confusion turned into a growl that bordered on a howl. She didn't have to hear the taunt to know who was responsible. The wench had gotten the first strike. Rosel had hesitated and backed down when she had the ultimate chance, when her very back was turned, and now Rosel was the one paying for it. Voices were crying and yelling, some she recognized, some she didn't. Haveni, Noctis, Seir, and Aeos, each sounded off at the blazing wench, as though answering a rolecall.
Her blood had reached the backs of her legs, and Rosel stood, struggling to stand straight. It plowed pain in a stripe between her shoulder blades, but she would not face this wind whore with anything less than a straight back. Lightning danced along the injury, she could feel its touch along her back, the bolts spasming out of her. And suddenly she was there, purple feathers and all, seeming to control the flames. A new friend was nowhere in sight, perhaps the wench, who had boasted her control of air, was merely directing the fruits of their labors.
Someone was yelling about the beach. It was male, but against the roar of the flames and the twisting and crackling of wood all around them, it could have been any one of the males in their little group. The hissing of doused fire reached her ears, but she didn't turn to see whether it was Seir or Aeos. Knowing the pair of them it was likely Aeos, and perhaps it was Seir shouting everyone towards the beach. Haveni was moving in her peripheral vision, no doubt escaping. The air was slowly cooling, a drift of the relatively cooler air drifting over her, causing goosebumps.
Dragging in a breath, Rosel didn't bother with a biting comeback, or even a flick of her wrist. "Forget the beach! The wench dies now!" The words were unstable, but there was enough volume to reach both her allies behind her and the soon-to-be corpse in front of her. The lightning dancing over her wound left her back, twisting together in the briefest of seconds, before darting out to their dearly departed ex-opponent.

Smoke was filling her lungs, heat searing her delicate flesh. She wasn't quite sure which way to run. It was an inferno, and now, above her too...
She could only watch the two for a long moment. Absolute rage. Rosel was terrifying when she was angry! But she, too..she was mad! She was enraged that Nashara had done something so below-the-belt, especially after Rosel had spared her the dagger in the back.
She was a healer, though...a creator, not a fighter, in her normal state. Not at all. She did the only thing she could do in - flung the nearest object, which happened to be a bookend, at Nashara, as she hovered amidst her whirling vortex of fire.
"Dirty attack!" she cried. But she knew it was a feeble attempt, and that nothing could be done to quell the two enraged females before her. She'd have to find a way to get out of here.
Another shudder.
Another moan from the building. Cracking, burning, more smoke, more searing heat, sounds from above! She glanced up, gasping as a burning beam separated from it's ceiling, colliding with the left side of her face. She toppled to the ground, knocked out for a brief moment. When she came too moments later, she felt the warm trickle of blood coming from somewhere on her head.
Shakily she stood up. The room was spinning, and she staggered to the widening, burning gap in the wall, before flinging herself out of it. She couldn't do anything to help Rosel up there.
To the ground she fell, coming back to her feet quickly. Ohh, her head was spinning... People were beginning to crowd, some who had been in the building, some who came to assist. Get away from me!
She pushed past them, unnoticed in the chaos, and fled. It was not to the beach she ran, she didn't know which way she ran. She just had to get away. The fire, the violence...it made her head hurt so much.
She stopped running when she was only a few hundred feet away. Far enough for now. Her head hurt, the beam had done a considerable hit to her, and she was frightened.
Why wouldn't the world stop spinning!? She wanted to cry, but more so, wanted to shout for somebody's name...whose name? No...not his name, surely not...! Why would she call out his name?

(and so keanu ventures into the flames xP)
As the screams got louder Keanu started running faster towards the burning inn, pausing just to check Epona was keeping up with him. As son as they got there he pulled up his long hair in a bun and looked down at Epona and pulled her to a safe place. “Listen, I want you to wait for me here ok? You’ll be safe in here..i’ll go into the inn and check that everyone gets out ok? I’ll meet you here in a few minutes” he smiled reassuringly at her and the next second he was walking right into the flames.
He carefully made his way through the thick black smoke…it was hard to see but he still kept going on. “Is anyone in here? Hello?” he could still hear screams but saw no one. Perhaps everyone had made it. Still he kept looking around, he wanted to be sure there was nobody inside.

Rylia had turned around halfway to watch as the winged constellation followed his group back to wherever they were headed before turning back to look forward, stopping on the shore next to Kiru. She kneeled down to move her hands gently across the small homunculus' back and then stood. Night had set in, but the waves still rocked back and forth, pushing up against the shoreline to drown her feet and then pull back. She hadn't noticed she was being watched by another, being simply caught in natures web. She found it comforting, far more then rich delicacies made by her kind. But of course any and all of those delicacies had to come from what nature brought into existence on the very earth they walked on.
Whether it had been from birth, which was a natural thing or metals which were simply combined elements borrowed from the earth, nature seemed...inescapable. Not that she'd want to try to run away from it, but rather embraced or enjoyed it's company in its basic forms. These thoughts...were nothing but mere fractions of a second as she stared out, in her own little world before it all collapsed and scattered her eyes flying open in realization.
"Greetings, little shadow. Were you there long?" said the voice.
Rylia turned just sightly, being that was all she needed to seen who else was there. There was no sense of hostility or fright in her face as she looked up at the light constellation. He was..quite bright in his clothes and face alike, but it didn't bother her. That was not important. What was important was that she recognized this was the very same constellation who had been talking to Haveni earlier before she had left to leave to join her companions. She remembered some of what he was talking to her about but then had gotten wrapped up with her encounter earlier. She shook her head. "I have...been here for a while now...I like staying near the ocean...." she whispered to answer the new constellation back before gazing out at he ocean and then up towards the sky at the moon.
"I enjoy the scenery and the feel of nature in its purest form..." she whispered before looking back at this new constellation. "The name's Rylia...So. How long have you been here exactly?" she said with a small smile, the best she could muster at the moment, acting as if she hadn't known he was talking to Haveni before. Kiru had made his way over, staying just under her and against one of her legs looking up at the new constellation. '"something new...at every corner it seems..." Kiru thought as he looked up and then over as he smelled something. It was smoke. "smoke..." he whispered. Rylia blinked looking down at her small friend. "smoke?" she thought as she looked over away from the beach, smoke filling the air not too far away. She shook her head and looked back at the constellation.

A few moments of peace and silence where the world did not trouble later, and Azhure felt centered enough, grounded enough to face everything once more. She took several deep breaths and opened her eyes, forcing her body to stand upright. By chance this had been the same pillar where she'd left the note for Cempa, but seeing as things had fallen out the way they had the note wasn't needed anymore.
She bent down to collect the note when she realised that it wasn't as she had left it, and there was writing on the second sheet of parchment. It was Cempa's handwriting. With a sense of horror, Cempa had been there and they'd somehow missed eachother, she lifted the note, eyes scanning the page.
Her eyes widened. Cempa had gone to the Inn. Her breath caught in her throat and she wanted to break down into tears. She Felt a pair of eyes on her and turned to see Mine. She rushed over to him.
"Cempa... Inn... Need to go find her." She thrust the letter at him as she spoke, words as disjionted as the thoughts in her head. She had to go find her, but it just didn't feel right to leave without the others knowing where and why.
In a blur of color she rushed from the temple, onto the beach, ready to find the Inn on her own.

Ergo watched with delighted bemusement as the gears in Noel's head visibly turned, with him blushing repeatedly throughout his little thought process, all reflected in Ergo's green eyes. Eyes that were not quite his, but the eyes of many. Even more delight came from the steady pressure of Noel leaning against him, and this bliss would have carried through had Noel not mentioned the tragedies.
"I'm more than sorry to hear about your friend. Regardless of where he might stand in it." Ergo had a slight idea who it might be, through his own sources. He sighed deeply. "Peace is hard-bought these days, my friend. Hard-bought and even harder-found. It's but a fact of life." As if to validate his point, the bright flare of light from the town cast a fiery glow into his eyes. "Hard-found, indeed."
Looking at his friend, he asked, "That looks less than good. We can either go down and help them or stay here. I'm here to protect you, whatever your decision may be."

From their spot on the beach Chimera and Chou were able to witness the fiery destruction that was taking over the inn.
Chou cackled, sprawled back on the sand, limbs flailing, her manic laugh carrying on the wind. This devastation and violence was precious! Oh! What a happy night! The poe continued writhing in the sand. This could not get any better.
Chimera had a completely different view on the situation. It could help! All those people stuck inside that inn. Surely they were in need of assistance. The three-headed dog took to a sprint towards the inn.
The middle female head took to address anyone that would listen.
"Hello, I saw the flames from the beach, is everyone out safe?" She looked left and right, and left and right, just hoping to be heard.
The left head looked on with the middle. A male voice boomed.
"We have power over time... We can freeze it for one minute... Will this help anyone?" The voice was gruff, but he tried his hardest to be concerned in such an inopportune time.
The right head, still fast asleep. It's nose twitched at the smoke in the air.... "...Errroooo." It snored.

Noel shook his head, holding onto Ergo's arm. I'm useless when it comes to fire... I evaporate, and it takes forever for me to recollect my body.. He looked to the ground, feeling useless. He hated fire, it was the one thing he couldn't take being around.
And.. I can protect myself, thank you.. But my duty right now is to make dinner for those who seek to rest here at the temple.. He smiled, stepping to near the edge of the cliff, looking down. towards the water. Would.. You like to help me?
Fulmine Nodded to his little ward and scooped her up. "I can move alot faster than you can, so hold on tight."
He smiled, and jumped off the cliff, landing gracefully ontop of a roof, continuing to run along the roofs, switching every so often to keep balance.
They were now infront of the Inn, the heat radiating off of the building in waves, leaving soot marks all over the two. "we're here.. Do you think we can Find Cempa?"

"Should definitely call to daddy..yahh..ahnn" his little eyes going wide as an explosion rocked where the inn had been, fire and flames and smoke and steam rising up into high pillars. Alberon instinctively ducking back behind the female snugging close to her arm "T-t-the i-i-innn..is..is it on fire!" he squeaked softly his hold tightening. The little phyrifly calling out his fathers name in fear and worry..
Dashiell could only be grateful that he'd not been in the inn..been far enough away to watch the terrible display from a distance. It was almost as if the inn had decided to spontaneously combust, but of course things did not simply burst into flames. A little squeal that caught his attention, the sound of his sons voice and a sudden surge of panic. Racing out and away from where he stood towards the small sound. "Alberon you...oh thank the gods your okay!" here he'd thought his boy would still be at the beach, and the sweet little thing had come into town to find him...come in attached to a twilif...The female to him looked slightly menacing, yet couldn't be all that horrible if she'd brought his son home to him. "Little one I'm glad I sent you out.." the many people pouring from the inn the cries and shouting of alarm, he hoped none were trapped within.
Here Daskri had been looking forwards to getting a good nights sleep, nice quite peaceful sleep. Of course as ill luck and fate would have it he wouldn't get to, no sooner had he found a place to stay then the inn not more then a few blocks down the street had been destroyed. The roof engulfed in a ball of fire, bits of plank and wood and embers raining down on those below and more then likely those still inside. The building still managed to stay standing and he could only wonder how many were inside...
Remorsefully leaving his cozy option of a nice bed behind, head cocked curiously as he slowly made his way down the street. The bag of once full treats had long since been devoured, and yet he wished very much that he had more right now...yeah sugar would do him some good. "By the stars.." it was chaos, creatures of all sorts running out, screaming and shouting filled the streets and the in. Others running back into the blazing smoldering building probably to find loved ones or help to assist others. Of the many he caught fleeing one in particular caught his attention...was that...it couldn't have been her, the fleeting resemblance was uncanny though. She'd run out so quickly from the building, just a white flash with long hair bursting from the crowd and off in a rush.
Acting before he could think things through, choosing to follow after the fleeing girl rather then help those in the inn. Maybe it wasn't the right choice..surely not the best he could have made, but he had to at least know that it 'wasnt' Haveni he was seeing.

s**t. Did Haveni not realize he had been calling her? Through all this smoke and fire, he probably wouldnt have seen himself either in this commotion. He was about to chase after Haveni, panic seizing him, wondering why the hell the stupid girl had chosen to jump out the window--- His grip was slipping from the low pillar, the pillar broke with his weight at one end. Noctis fell down the bottom of the fiery debris, lost within the commotion of Rosel and Nashara. So damned hot-- s**t.
Staggering, Noctis had no clue how much time passed as he crawled out of the debris, only taking the way that had the least amount of embers. He coughed and sputtered. If one of the crowd fleeing looked over, they could see a lone coated injured constellation to the side.
What an eventful night it had been. Apparently, it hadn't taken too long for him to come out since the commotion was still going on. Where was Seir, Haveni and Aeos? He knew Rosel was likely fighting the wench.
He attempted to push all feelings of pain to the side, his body twitching in pain everywhere. Oh god.. everything hurt. He could feel something in him.. about to break-- No. If he turned berserk now-- how would it help him out of this situation? All he would do is shoot things. Everything. Keep a calm head and he would make it out.
His eyes scanned the beach that stood in front of the inn, Seir and Aeos had said something about going to the beach.. But did that mean Haveni would be there as well? "s**t THIS SUCKS." He yelled out aggravatingly, as if yelling out his reason for stress would help the situation in any manner. It did help him vent though.

Keanu made a couple of trips, helping out those who were still trapped inside. After a while he was getting hot and tired but kept looking around for more people to help and lucky he did for he found an unconscious little homunculi lying on the floor. “oh dear..” he quickly made his way towards the little one and carried her in his arms “Hang on” was the only thing that came from his mouth as he turned around to take the purity homunculi out.
Once they were outside he put her down and leaned over her. “Are you ok?....can you hear me?”
The girl moved a bit and started coughing she tried to stand up but Keanu held her back “you better rest for a bit…how are you feeling? Are you hurt?” he looked worried at her.
Cempa coughed again and shook her head, she only had a small burn in her hand but she didn’t cared about that, she cared about her sister “im fine..my..my sister! She..she should be here! Did you saw her inside? Is she safe? ”
Keanu looked confused at her and shook his head ‘I helped some people out but there was no other homunculi… I bet your sister got out and she is safe and sound” he smiled at her and took her little hand between his “yikes you got burn…if Noel or Nim were here they could heal it up in an instant…”
Suzette immediately stood in front of Alberon and looked around but almost immediately relaxed and sighed, it was just a fire at the inn…nothing that affected her ...though, now she needed to look for a place to spend the night. “it’s ok alberon it’s just a fire we just need to find your..” the next thing she saw was an adult phyri running towards them, her hand quickly went to her poison vial until she noticed he was the boys father, once again a sigh of relief escaped from her lips and she let go of Alberon’s hand. “I suppose he is your father…right Alberon?” her voice was polite and still a bit warm but not as a few minutes ago but after all, she HATED men and looked at Alberon’s dad with some bitterness.

"Yes yes yes yes! Daddy your okay, your not all burnt up, whys there soo much fireee" the little phyri fired off the questions happy at the release of his hand as he clung to dashiells leg.
Dashiell shook his head sadly and smiled stroking alberons bright blond hair. "I dont know, and yes I'm fine.." giving a curious glance to the female twilif who had seemed so instinctive to protect his boy. "I'm Dashiell, this little ones father..and you?"
"Zuzu! This is zuzu, and zuzu this is daddy, and daddy zuzu saved me and brought me back and shes real nice.." alberon interjected, ducking slightly beneath his fathers hand as he realized he was speaking a bit out of turn, and also that he wasnt supposed to be talking to strangers, uh oh..
"Zuzu?" dashiell blinked curiously glancing from the female to his son "I'm very glad that she kept you safe little one, and I owe her for that. I find it rather hard to believe her name is zuzu though" dashiell chuckled softly offering zuzu a truly grateful smile. "I'm sorry if he's been an trouble, thank you though"

Suzette failed to restrain and started giggling at the little one " quite an ability you have there darling, youc an talk faster than anyone i know..even more than Raisel and i thought that was impossible " she smiled once more at his and then looked up at his father, Dashiell he was. " your son kindly honored me with that nickname, though my real name is Suzette" She bowed her head and smiled politely "and it was nothing...i couldn't bare to see an innocent get hurt if i can help it besides he is quite charming, he was no trouble at all.'
She felt..strange, quite warm and...happy. It had been a long long time since she had last felt like that and it was thanks to this little one that she has remembered how it was to care for another one. "in fact... im the one who is in debt with your son...he made me remember something i forgot a long time ago..."

"Yup yup, its a special ability, I'm special right, right?" he couldnt help but giggle and grin despite what was going on around them, tiny hooves fidgeting once more, kicking up bits of dust beneath them. His little arms firmly and securely wrapped around his fathers foreleg. "See..zuzu is sweet sweet..a nice lady"
It was almost too hard to believe, that alberon had spent possibly most of the day with her, and yet she claimed he'd been no trouble. "Your built of some strong stuff then, my boy often runs people ragged...always has a knack for getting into some sort of trouble." yet this suzette seemed rather happy to have spent time with him. "Well then Suzette, your very very welcome, I'm just glad he had someone to spend time with.." Dashiell returned the small bow, immensely impressed by the impact his little one had had on her, maybe he should have gotten alberon that treat he'd wanted afterall.
"Oooh..I made you remember stuff..so does that make me zuzu's good luck charm!" he gasped surprised and happy, little eyes wide with curiosity, suddenly remembering something rather important, tugging insistently on dashiells arm. "Daddy daddy! Psst..psst...is it okay if zuzu stays with us tonight? Zuzu wants to stay over right? I mean..ya know since.." glancing back at the inn and then to zuzu again.."Or or! Oh the temple right? They takes in people right?"
"That they do, the temple is always open. Of course Miss Suzette is welcome to stay with us after taking such good care of you, it is her choice though alberon.."
