As far as I know, you need to take Color as a prerequisite to Watercolor. It really sucks, because my major had me take Digital Media in place of Color, which I was fine with, except now I can't take any of the upper level painting courses... XP

Yea it's hard to take away something a person doesn't have.

If you drink wine it isn't rude! Because "classy sophisticated" people "taste" wine. But I don't like spitting up as a general rule, so yea, I'd just say just take small sips and choke it down, haha. Alcohol is an acquired taste though. I learned that I prefer rum until I learned that I LOVE whiskey. I still probably go for rum more often than not, it's the safest thing and the base to my favorite mixed drinks (such as pina coladas), but if I'm doing shots I'd prefer whiskey. It burns awesome! ^_~.

When you die you wouldn't be able to take that money you didn't earn with you anyhow, so work as much as you want. Good luck with finals!

@Kits - Umm...well, I'm hoping to have freetime DURING college, hahaha. I tend to get a lot more hobbies done when I'm in school, I'm special like that. You'll have to work on your verbal abuse skills! (maybe other ones as well, I'm not going to judge ^_~)

Are you going to take Color or you just giving up on upper level painting? I'd like to paint, I think I'd have more patience for that than drawing.

@Karma - I actually just had champage for the first time at my friends wedding a few weeks ago. It wasn't bad, very light. As long as it's good champagne you probably won't feel a desire to spit it out (although I have seen people get drunk on champagne so you know, depending on how much you have with dinner, especially if you never drink, you might get a little light headed).

You should totally cosplay to this dinner and than take photos of everyone's baffled reaction (except Kits since obviously she'll be in on this now).

Also, I never got what you meant earlier by the statement: OMG HOW CUTE is the : and the 2 together! *Feels like an idiot*

Most of the threads fade off topic anyhow...start watching The Abridged Series and go there!! TAS IS AMAZING!! And there are random game like threads, and you could talk in the character discussion threads, just based on your impression of the series thus far. I actually know very little about what you think of almost anything relating to YGO, either plot or characterwise, and that's the point of the guild yea? Haha, so I vote Character Discussion...or jumping into the roleplay, because most of the people go poof a lot (or haven't ever posted at all) so it'd be nice to have more voices in there who'd be around a little bit more often. I still vote you be Mai and Gozaburo...but that's up to you (and almighty guild leader ^_~).

I'll hope you get a good gift too. Yea I signed up for a Plato course but found out I had to take Classics 1, 2, and 3 first (which wouldn't be offered for another year or something) so I dropped it. I probably coulda just stayed in and taken the courses out of order, but oh well. Next life. Art/Design is a bit more strict about order I know though.

Well, it's light which makes it light. It's mixed drinks that can get you pretty drunk - especially if you are mixing alcohols - because they taste good and are made with hard liquors, so you don't realize how much you are drinking (unless you are aware of how much you are drinking). Shots can do 'em too if you take 'em fast. If not you'll notice pretty soon how fast they hit you, but knock a few back before the first can take effect and oh man! Good luck with the heels though! You shouldn't get drunk on a glass, but guess you'll see... razz

Oh, haha, no I feel dumb. Yea I'm blaming that lack of visual imagination again. I didn't think to type it out myself and so I just didn't get it. I thought it was a reference to something...~_~

@Karma: From all the alcohol I've tried so far, champagne was the only one I liked.

@JK: Class taking thing happened to me too. I was supposed to take Oceanic and African Art History, but the teacher quit at the last minute, and I needed a fifth class to keep my scholarship, so ended up in the only art history class left that would fit my schedule, Mexican Art History... not actual dislike for your culture's art, Karma, but OMG that was the worst teacher I ever had! XD And worst class I've ever had. I can't believe I managed a B.

If I have some open elective slots when I'm an upperclassman, I'll probably take color. Or I may try to get an override into one of the painting classes, since I already know all the color basics and would be stuck in there with a bunch of Freshmen.

From what I've seen, Art isn't really that strict in following the orders. Most prerequisites are very basic ones, and as long as you have a reasonable teacher, it's pretty easy to get an override.

@Karma: Tobacco is so gross. D: My brother used to chew it, and once my mom accidentally drank his spit, thinking it was soda!! >_< Ugh...!!

Well in Design anyhow, you had to take stuff in order, it was very stiff. Part of why I quit (that and the drawing part, which yea, not necessarily necessary in the work force but they still make you take the class). Or maybe it's just UC Davis.

Yea, I couldn't get into French (the language) my Freshmen year at Davis so I was recommended France and the French world (just to at least do some cultural stuff while I waited for space - or a better pass for enrollment, undeclared Freshmen don't exactly have priority - in a language course). It was all about Negritude and mostly Africa. I didn't really like it, and that's just not the class I thought I was signing up for. Ah the classes I'd untake if I could.

But verbal abuse is fun! Or kinky? Haha, kidding!! And yea, I need procrastination and distraction to function at an optimal level, so I get more of the things I love done around class. When it's work I'm just tired and blah. Hopefully if I end up being a professor things will stay fairly the same as life as a student.

I had to take a lower division English class my last quarter at Davis which conflicted with Greek and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO but my counselor just let me take an upper div in it's place (which is cool, because I hate lower div anyhow). Twas awesome, so yea, go for that override if you can.

Yes, but it's always fun to see who people like initially, and then watch them months later when they get more into the series and now HATE that character and pairing, haha. Or love them more! But the development of opinions is half the fun.

@Karma - I would mind in the grass as well. However I'd be less likely to know because you can't really see it, unless your face is in the grass for some reason. In which case you probably have bigger problems.

I dunno of any "Dr." Vodka, haha. Screwdrivers were probably the first drink I liked (though Dr. Pepper and Vodka was actually pretty good and what got me into vodka - which makes me wonder if that's what you mean by Dr. Vodka, but I dunno how common of a mix that is to just make that assumption). I eventually moved past vodka, but it's a good starter liquor I'd say. I hated wine the first time I had it but it's actually pretty good, bit of an acquired taste though. What did you have? It's probably easier to start with whites than reds (champagne is a bubbly wine btw) for one, and personally I absolutely HATE Cabernet's, across the board, no matter what the vineyard. So if you were having Cab last night I'd have said it sucked too. I rather like red Zinfandels though, and Merlots can be nice (though I've had some bad ones).

It's annoying because it complicates things having to take them in order, especially if you don't start out with that major in the beginning, but there is a method to the madness. Each class usually builds into the next so it does make sense to require order to the Design programs. You can't learn Calculus before Addition.

rogram is extremely strict and way less layed-back than the Art program.
I wore a tank top dress shirt, a light buttoned shirt over that, and slacks to prom.
I'm having a difficult time getting in Japanese as an art student... I just want to take it as an elective. *sigh*
I tend to work better on getting schoolwork done after procrastinating, but not stuff I enjoy doing. XD
