Surveying those around her, Zahara saw two twilif helping each other,
a golden phyrefly making friends with the espion, and various others starting to clean up.
Just outside the light of the dying fires, the constellation thought she saw a twilif and another phyrefly.

Leaping lightly into the air, Zahara hovered closer, hearing them calling for a missing person apparently.
Hoping they weren't calling for one killed, the Radiance of the Skies landed lightly
and spoke gently, hoping she did not startle them too much.
She summoned a ball of light to her palm, softly lighting the immediate area.

"Is ...is there anything I can do to help?"

"Espectra is a very pretty name! You can DISAPPEAR? That's amazing! Can I see you disappear sometime?"

Eyes seemingly lit from within, the phyrefly was back to all but dancing in place.

"And yes, I'm Aulora! And I'd love to help! I am smaller than you and your friends
I can get into smaller places! Where are we going to start looking?"

Rearing to go, Aulora bounced in place; looking around as though the injured 'Lore would glow
or float out of their hiding places.

Seir wondered whether Nashara wanted to really piss him off or not. Tilting his head back to peer at the girl from
the corner of his eyes, he gave another smile. It was unwelcoming and cruel, and dismissive as hell. He didn’t
particularly understand why there were stragglers attempting to come along. Certainly, Haveni was the village’s
candle-maker, but that didn’t mean that title made her a priceless artifact. The dark constellation pulled his cloak
tighter around his form so it hid the tightening his arms across his chest.

Did their little group of baddies have a tag stuck to their backs that said ‘follow me, I won’t kill you if you do’?
Where had their bravery been when they had attacked the village? Most of the attacks, if there had been any,
against him had been pathetic; with the exception of the inferno he had put himself under for the sake of his
brother. Then again, it may not have applied to Nashara, considering she had only recently dropped from the sky.
Flashy, but far too late to be fashionable, he thought. “Do you assume I would allow that?” Seir purred softly, a
quality quite like amusement ringing in his tones. “What a naïve, little girl.”

“I asked you once. What are you after? I don’t believe in mere curiosity from an outsider.” The thief constellation
glanced at Haveni and stepped behind her. He lifted his hand to touch the candle-maker’s pale throat, claws
gazing soft flesh in mask of gentleness. Though, because it was Seir, it was a threat. “Do you intend to take her
like a wannabe hero?”

“Or are you a thief who intends to steal and use her powers?”

“What does her comfort have to do with anything?” he murmured quietly; the question was rhetorical. “Did you not
hear her? She would have left the village whether we went with her or not.” Aeos’ face was impassive, regarding
the painter with no more emotional than he would have had with a practice dummy. “I may be following orders like
a trained dog, but it is the price I agreed to pay. Who are you to question it?”

Crystal ice formed in the air, as a burst of cool temperature circled their surroundings and bit into the other
constellation’s skin. “What I find unfair is that you lay judgment on where it is very much unwanted.” Aeos dropped
down from the air, landing on the ground. His feet barely touched grass before they became captive in ice. “But,
then again, I never expected anyone to understand my plights.”

With his words spoken, Aeos leapt at Daskri, body angled. His first sword slid down in a straight on vertical slash,
intent on slicing through whatever Daskri would decide to draw up. The ice constellation’s second blade came
crashing towards the blond a second later from the side.

Nashara's eyes narrowed at the lightning woman's snarkish comment. She turned her head, making sure their eyes connected.

"Was I talking to you, Sparky?"

She cooly brushed her off, her gaze sliding to Haveni next, the woman's confusion with her interest easily visible. The corner of her mouth lifted at her accusations.

"I have no desire to do anything improper with that indecisive haberdashery."Her eyes gleamed, then quickly darkened as she continued speaking. "He is not the reason I am interested in you."

She turned to the cloaked man, her eyes resting confidently on him.

"Stop trying to scare me with your pathetic attempts at intimidation. I have dealt with people far more powerful than you, people that I have a much better reason to be afraid of."

She stepped closer to him, grabbing his hand and wrenching it away from Haveni's body. She did not let go. Staring him straight in the eye, she lowered her voice to a whisper. Only they two needed to hear this.

"I know what kind of person you are. I know where you got your power. I can see the darkness inside of you, that look of joy in your eyes when destruction collides with chaos. And I know exactly what you plan to do with her. Do not be so foolish as to pretend that I am lying - I have seen your lust for power. And I will not let you satisfy it - not this time.

She dropped his hand, taking a very obvious step to place herself between him and Haveni. Her voice raised in volume, making sure everyone could hear.

"I am not some foolish knight, come to rescue a damsel in distress from the dragon's lair. But heaven help me, I would rather be eaten by a fire-breathing lizard than let a monster like you gain a power like that.

I repeat. Where she goes, I go."

Avaron looked up at Epona. She thought hard on whether or not she believed Sage followed the cursed. She shook her head.
"I think he is smarter than that..." Avaron said glumly, looking out into the horizon. "... He probably followed the adults."

Her face sunk into her knees where she held her head tight with her hands. Avaron sighed. "I am sorry I am so..."

"Is... is there anything I can do to help?"

Zahara startled her with her sudden appearance, but the light orb brought the twilif hope. Avaron hadn't expected any other adults to pay any heed to the two children sitting on the boarder of the city. She took her face from her hands and looked up at the older Constellation with a slight smile, she would be glad to have some help.

"We are looking for her brother. But, there are cursed that way..." Avaron pointed towards the direction all the dark spirits had moved. As she did so she noticed two little ears hopping on the horizon and stood from her crouched position. She smiled over at Epona and continued pointing.

"Sage?"

"Nothing at all I'm merely being a gentleman, I still have manners something you seem to be lacking as of late" rhetorical or not he answered anyways the chatterbox that daskri was were aeos there to speak with or not he'd probably be talking even if it were just to himself. Frowning slightly at the impassive glance, he'd hoped the dog bit might get aeos riled up..tsk..truly an icicle through and through, it was a wonder his heart wasn't frozen solid as well.

"I am a sane person...well maybe not truly sane, surely this is crazy me trailing after you and your mess like a hungry fox. Still, sane men often question people they deem crazy, and whether I'm sane or not I know for sure that you are not in your right mind, and so I question" a bit surprised and cold, shivering as the temperature dropped well beyond a level that was comfortable to the passive painter. Eyebrow rising in curiosity giving aeos a rather perplexed look..Plight? What plight? What exactly was it aeos was paying for...

Daskri his thoughts destroyed as well as his next move by aeos blades, the bite of ice against his skin drawing blood and freezing it into painful little crystals as soon as it touched, having thrown up his arms in defense while trying to swiftly dance away from the quick footed constellation. He couldnt avoid the wince of pain, clenching his teeth in order to keep a sharp retort at bay.

"Was it worth the price to pay I wonder!" he grinned cheekily his paintbrush flashing in his other hand a quick and shoddily done lance forming the color of chartreuse, stabbing out at aeos to keep him at bay a bit longer. "Forgive me if I unfairly judge, its usually not in my nature to do so. It's hard though to understand whatever plight you may be having when I have no info on it..." swiping the lance out at aeos midsection the color of the weapon changing into sharp pastel tones.
He had to wonder, if he followed would he be killed? Was it really worth chasing after, this haveni he owed her nothing, didn't trust her but certainly didn't owe her. Mayhaps it was best to retreat, afterall he knew what they were searching for..this...this ruin..surely if he hunted it also he would at some point run into them.

Ro'ark gladly accepted the help up to his feet. Shaking his head a bit surprised at how in awe of things frei was..bah..he hated the cats and the woman, but his friend seemed impressed. Maybe that was good though? Shaking his spikey head slowly he got back to work..no point in fighting it..once all this clean up was done he would be sure to get gone though, he wouldnt live under some womans rule that was for sure!

Sparky? Rosel certainly had been called worse, and far more creative, names. But she kept her laugh to herself as the woman tilted over to catch her eye, and then as she proceeded to respond to everyone in the group. 'Indecisive haberdashery' wasn't quite the word Rosel would have used for Noctis, but it was creative at least. Too bad that fabulous creativity didn't extend to actual brain capacity, or she would have realized she was making enemies all around. Weak, useless, and moronic, she not building up a very good list of descriptions thus far.

But when she put herself between Haveni and Seir, something had to be done. Rosel suddenly wished Haveni would unleash on this imbecilic woman, give her the taste Rosel had gotten earlier. More than a taste, a flood, a consumption of the soul underneath the darkness Haveni so deceivingly (most of the time) held inside. She'd learn to respect Haveni's wishes then. 'Go to Ruin', that was what Haveni had asked. And after that ridiculous display of debasement bordering on prostitution, this woman had still held them up from their journey. How had she gone unharmed thus far?

"While I am sure we are all impressed that you have other people you're afraid of," Rosel looked fully at the woman now, over Seir's shoulder, before taking a step to have her in full view. "You would do well to revise that list." Bringing a hand up to her face, she watched lightning play over her knuckles. "I, however, will not repeat myself. You've held us up too long already." Throwing her hand down in a swipe, she loosed a pitch dark tongue of lightning at their feathered pest.

Hoping the twilif was right and the vague movement off in the darkness was the friend they sought
Zahara concentrated to reach through the smoke and draw fresh energy from the cold starlight.
She coaxed the ball of light that she held to split into both palms and glow brighter,
flooding the area with light in hopes of encouraging the lost one's return.

Narrowing her eyes, the constellation saw a few Cursed lingering at the edge of her light:
but even as she watched, the threats were removed by the sleek espion.

She saw no reason to alert either of the younger beings with her.

Haveni hadn't moved, nor changed her expression at feeling Seir's dangerous fingers grazing her throat flesh, nor did she change when Nashara hastily snatched his hand from her.

She met her gaze. Unblinking, wisteria-hued eyes stared from beneath long strands of hair the color of the pale moonlight, which was now rising high in the sky.

"Where I am going is to the chasms of hell." she said, very faintly, but almost thoughtfully. "I don't think you would want to follow me there. If you did..." she raised her hand and brushed soft fingers against Nashara's cheek. "You'd become so infested with the dead, you would tear this flesh of yours off in a madness no words can describe. You may say you do not care, but....well, ask her." She motioned her head towards Rosel as her hand dropped back to her side, fingers disappearing back into the long coat sleeves again.

She turned, and began to walk on her own down the road, being unable to fly and not very agile or quick. "I can't stop them from harming you." she spoke, not stopping her steps away. "But if you insist on standing here in a stalemate, I'll continue on my own, then."

"The candle lady's right. We've stalled for far too long." Noctis agreed, standing up, apparently, he had been making some sort of makeshift bandage during the talking.

"Sheesh. Haveni's coming with us and there's not really much you can do since it's mutual agreement, babe." He gave Nashra a glance, quite annoyed with her jabs and insults at him. Sheesh, who could blame him if he loved women? Or if he couldn't decide? If they had two gorgeous men, including Noctis himself of course, they wouldnt be able to decide either.

Pfft. Women.

"I have no desire to stay here. What I want to get to is a nice soft bed and off this damned dusty road. We can get one single lady off our trial by then guys, right?" Noctis stated, standing up, extending his arms to carry Haveni once more.

He called out to the action on the other wise, an amused voice carrying through the area, a smile curving on his expression.

"Yo Aeos! You done playing with him yet? Haveni wants to go!"

((Just sticking this here so me and lethal can end our battle, muahahaha..-sob- I love this meta so much, do not ennnddddd-))

Playing? Honestly..maybe this was play for the icy constellation..surely it was fun in a most annoying painful way, but hardly considered play "I believe your companions are calling aeos..." His guard dropping slightly as he glared off in the direction the voice had come from. "Tsk..such ill timing too, I know that if I follow you'll only continue to try and stop me, whether I do it from a distance or not." the green constellation sighed knowing they were at a stand off for now unless they killed each other off.

"I'll let you be, but do know this my friend. I will hunt you and your group down. We'll meet up again eventually, no matter what kind of searching it will take me" it was a shame to leave things as they were, wanting to follow or not it would bring him nothing but trouble right now, better to go on with things for now and pick up the trail later if he could

Seir’s half-lidded eyes peered down at Nashara, a brow arched at her words. However, he was tired of dealing with
a dramatic little female who didn’t know her place. Slowly, his mouth curved into another precarious smile, similar
to as it had earlier but alarmingly more dangerous. There was no need to advance on her this time since she’d
already placed herself conveniently in front of him. Cool aqua hues bore down on her topaz ones, as a soft chuckle
brushed past his lips. “You speak as if you have an idea of what you’re talking about,” he said softly, and then
eased out of the way to allow Rosel’s lightning a clear shot at the girl.

He followed Noctis and Haveni, tossing himself into the air. His gaze shifted towards the forest where his brother
lay, clicking his tongue lightly. “Let’s go,” he murmured willfully—and this time, the constellation meant his words.
“We have no time to play with you, sweetheart.” Seir smirked a little before rising again. “We do not need your
such company, so take care not to follow.”

Aeos leapt back, using his wings to quickly pull himself out of the lance’s way. He was getting ready to attack again
when Noctis’ voice carried itself through the greens. His gaze regarded Daskri carefully, lips pursing into a frown.
“So they are,” he murmured. “I’ll await the day you come, then.” Pale wings opened and dragged Aeos up into the
air with careful flaps of his wings. “Good bye.”

He flew off after his group.

Haveni once again accepted Noctis' offer, and allowed herself to be picked up by the two-legged horse. Glancing back at Nashara, she gave a small wave of farewell, though barely visible through the drapnig sleeves.

She knew very well that what Nashara had said might very well be true. In fact, it probably was, but for now, Haveni was safe. How long that would last, she didn't know. Perhaps there would be a day very soon that they would kill her. Maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing, she thought. I wonder if Ruin would still exist if I died?

The wind might travel far, and split into many breezes across the world, but it will always rejoin and remain simply...the wind. No matter how many directions it scatters.

Perhaps the lost village will be restored, and the weak hearts strengthened. What will happen to those who became lost? Will Nashara have eaten lightning? Will Seir's cloak indeed DEVOUR people? And what about those damn cats?! Find out next time, on Moonlore Ball Z....

This is the end of the this MP Event. Staff and I will be brainstorming and open up another thread to continue things within a few days, though the continuing metaplot MIGHT branch into two different threads, depending on wh osides for what. We'll see!

Alright, so I'd like everyone who participated nice enough to sound off if they'd like to be in the raffle for the Espion on the front page. Thanks!
