"Aye, well, pork chops is easy," the boy chuckled, leaning back slightly to kiss her. "It's all done, too, if you're ready t' eat. Might wanna get us some drinks."

Lee nodded, heading over to the refrigerator to find something. "We have milk... bunch of different juices..." She picked a jug of something up and inspected it a bit before setting it back down. "Ice tea..." She sighed. "We don't keep beer around, though. The closest we have is wine, I guess." Lee didn't seem to mind that there were servants all around her as she talked about underage drinking. Then again, it wasn't likely they knew how young Rory was, either.

"Hm, white wine if you got it," Rory said, heading to the small table in the kitchen. He'd feel silly eating in the dining room with just the two of them after all. Setting the plates down with the silverware he'd laid out earlier, he pulled out one chair and waited for her to come over so he could seat her properly.

Lee turned to the closest cook around, tapping his shoulder lightly to take his attention from the meat he was working with. "Could you go get us some white wine. I mean, when you're done with... all that." She nodded down to what he'd been preparing before looking up at him, hoping he wouldn't care too much about her drinking. After she'd asked, she realized she recognized the man as the chef she'd seen the other night, and like before, he was blushing once again. She wondered if perhaps that was just how he always looked. The young man nodded, apparently not being able to actually say anything, and Lee bounded off toward the small nook, taking the seat offered to her.

Rory pushed her chair in, leaning down to give her still damp hair a kiss before seating himself. "I hope you like it, lover. It's a recipe me mother taught me that's been sorta handed down through her family."

She gave the boy a playful smile as he sat down, picking up a knife and fork as she cut into her pork chop. "Are you sure your mom didn't want you to be a housewife?" She seemed to have taught him everything he knows, aside from horses, and he knew quite a bit about taking care of the house. Lee's eyes lit up as she took a bite, savoring the taste before finishing and cutting off another piece. She'd never be able to cook this well, would she?

"She just wanted me t' be able t' care fae meself," Rory said, nodding to the cook as he set the two glasses of wine down. "W're out on wor own early in th' clan an' it wouldnae do t' hae us starve or keep a dirty home, eh?"

"Well you're still alive, so she did a pretty good job." Lee smiled, taking a sip from her glass of wine. She wasn't sure if she'd be finishing the whole glass, not at all much of a drinker. "Rory, ya know that Lydia girl you saw earlier?" She peered back at the boy, face drooping a little. She leaned in, whispering as she continued. "I saw her crying when I was walking down here..."

Rory was sipping his own wine, setting it down when Lee spoke. "Really? I wonder why. I saw her out by th' pool when I took Ki Du fae walkies. I didnae really speak t' her other than t' ask her t' take th' pup up t' me room. Didja know her brother works here in th' kitchen?"

Lee blushed, looking around to see if she'd been heard. "I didn't, no..." Oops. Talking about some guy's sister right in front of him without knowing it... While she wanted to mention that the girl had lied to her about dessert the other day, she thought it best not to bring it up when her brother was probably right there. "Which one? I mean, who do you think her brother is?" She didn't give the girl a good look, just knowing that she was pretty and had black hair. Other than that, she had nothing to go on in terms of who resembled her.
Lydia's brother, incidentally, kept peering over at the couple, but not because his little sister was being talked about. He was too far to hear any of that. He just wanted to make sure their lunch wasn't too romantic an occasion, not while he was in the room.

Rory laughed. "You're askin' me like I've lived wi' these people as me staff all me life, yeah?" He leaned over and kissed her. "Nae, lover, I donnae know which he is. Does it really matter?"

Lee blinked, looking the group over. "No. I was just curious..." She sat back in her seat, idly taking another sip of her wine. "I never see the cooks, is all... Didn't even know we had so many..." She'd always ignored the servants as best she could, and knew the names of only the few she saw most often. Leaning forward and working on her food again, she beamed up at the boy. "You should make these at home some time."

Lee grinned, leaning forward and taking the offered bite, giggling softly as she sat back.
In an attempt to put an end to his silent torture, one of the chefs, aka Lydia's brother, picked up the bottle of white wine and headed over to the couple. "More wine, sir?" He didn't mean to c**k an eyebrow as he looked down at Rory, but did so without realizing it, almost scowling at him.
Lee tilted her head as she glanced over to the cook, surprised to see that, when looking at Rory, his cheeks weren't red. How odd.

Rory looked up at him, still chuckling from Lee's cuteness. "Nae, w're good, thanks." He turned his attention back on Lee, ignoring the cook. It wasn't that he thought he was better than the servants, just that, well, he was having a meal with his girl and really didn't want to be bothered. "So, I wis thinkin', lass, tha' maybe I could cook dinner fae your parents sometime before w' leave back t' Farstep. They might like a bit o' traditional didikai cuisine, eh?"
