1 - GCW period.
2 - Think we need a "summery" list so we don't have to write one. lol
3 - Jedi/Republic, Sith/Imperial, Mercs/Black Sun (or Hutt Empire, or other criminal empire)

We'll have to set up a vote for the summaries later, and request all people to have them submittied, probably by Friday. Within the plots, we'll list the era and major factions, and roughly a generalization of the roleplay

The idea of these Sith and Jedi Force powered superweapons seems to be drawing some attention, which is good. My only concern about these is that no one has yet to explain accurately a scenario into which these fit. There's been mention of Rakatan and how they survived through to a more modern (is that's the correct word to use) era, but little explanation of the relationship between the Republic and the Empire. Is it still set in an alternate timeline, or merely set after the most recent books? Dark Jedi wanting to attack just because they can sounds pretty weak, am I right? I'm not saying this idea wouldn't work, far from it, but a deeper understanding of why they have been created and why now they have suddenly been decided to be used would form a stronger base in which to RP from.
In terms of getting everything finalised, I have an idea of what can be done. Since there is quite a varied spread of point within this thread which can be used as building blocks, why not turn it into a Writer's Competition? People can form their own plot out of everything here (or something completely original) and post it in a new thread (which will be made if people like this idea) by a deadline (Such as Midnight on Friday, PST). Then, people can have the weekend to vote on the posted ideas, and the winning one is what we use. The threads for it can be crapped out on Monday, ready for people to start RPing whenever. And, of course, there'd be a prize for the winner. I have lots of items I can put up.
Thoughts?

I quite like the idea of a competition for the roleplay plot. It gets people motivated about an up-coming roleplay, as well a being a chance to stretch those creative muscles before it all kicks off. There is one thing I think deserves mention though. Regardless of what story wins, the thread should be kept (even in the Archive Sub-forum) so that peoples' work hasn't gone to waste. They could even be used in the future.
Also (considering I've liked your story idea the most so far), what are the rules on adapting your plot, or anyone else's in this thread? I'm not suggesting flat-out copying, but retyping, rewording and changing points?

By posting any ideas in this thread, you've pretty much signed away any creative copyright on them, especially if they're used to inspire others into writing a better plot. So, I'd have to say, as long as no idea is directly copied from someone else, then use of ideas from this thread would be fine.

"War never changes." Sure, we fight for God, oil, gold, slaves, but war never changes. Just the means by which its fought. Who knows, I might work on another plot in which the Empire is all nicey-nice and the Mercs are Rebels, who knows!

The creativity contest sounds a great idea :3 I'd join, but I'm afraid my SW knowledge is too low to decently write something 'possible' or 'logic'.
As to the votes:
1. Timeline doesn't matter, but I like the alternate one.
2. Plot... let's see contest?
3. Jedi, Sith, Republic, Imperials, Hutt, Mercs, Mandalorian (or remnants), the 'alternate' Sith from another dimension. In general, nearly all of them.

Solice the Slayer Y'know Starwars isnt just about the retarded and skew struggle between the Jedi and the Sith. There is more to it than just lightsabers and force abilities. I agree with the previous poster. Agreed. Although it is a constant factor.
