Matt slips back into the light, the dark room greeting him with it's red light. He turns his head to the side, knowing it would be too painful to actually move. "Are you still there?" He called out uselessly, his eye lids heavy. "Shhh, yes I'm still here, don't move," she says, the red light drawing shadows across her face, so Matt couldn't see her face. "Who are you?" He asks, his head lolling(sp) to the other side clumsly. "Do you always ask that of the people who save you?" She asks, a smile on her voice. "Usually I'm not saved by anyone," he counters, shutting his eyes to his headache. "That girl, Emma. You nearly killed her, but she was cared for by her group, she's alive. They think you're dead. But if you'd like, I have the address of their meeting place, so you could remind them that you're alive," the woman suggests. Matt laughs weakly. "Are you suggesting that I go to where they meet and kill some of their assassins?" Matt asks in response. "Exactly. After you're done recovering, of course. Wouldn't want you to die," she said. Matt nodded, but sank back into the darkness. When he woke, a day later, he was alone, and the red light was replaced with a normal, white one, and he found himself to be in his own apartment. He rolled over onto his side and got to his feet, pain making him fall to his knees and hug his stomach. He regained his composure and stood up slowly, and what he saw on the desk made his blood run cold. His poisoned dagger was staring back at him with a wicked gleam. "You're still not quick enough my dear. You may take out normal people and petty assassins, but you just can't take down the best," she sneered, running forward and kneeing Matt in the chest, also twisting the wrist that carried his knife, so that he dropped the knife. She stroked his cheek, then pushed him back, into the window again, blood smearing his demonic, spidery wings. She had taken the knife with her after that battle. His mother.

She awakes once more 8 hours later, the nurse standing above her, "Well hello there" her voice boomed. Emma jumped, "Hey," She mumbles, trying to move her arms, "Ah f..." She mumbled muffling the swear word. The nurse frowns, "Yeah about the extent of your injuries, you'll be very very fragile for a while, your left leg will need theapy, The nerves are shot in that thing," she tried to say with a smile, she frowned, "I'm a vegatable?" she asked, the nurse frowns, "No, no You'll just be in a wheelchair for about a week, then we;ll work you to your legs again." The nurse got a page and left the room, Cathy walking over to Emma, "How's Matt?" She asks immediately. She looks at Emma sorrow in her eyes, "Em, he's gone," She mumbles. Emma's face goes white as she stared at her, "What..." Emma says as tears rush to her eyes. She covers her face and hid in the pillows as she sobs, "He can't be!" She screamed. She rubbed the only uninjured part of Emma, her upper back. She cried herself back to sleep, and awoke in Celia's apartment. She sighs and loosk aroudn Celia, no where. Neither is .. She stops and Cries. "No..."

Matt walked around his apartment, getting his muscles used to moving again. He was almost completely healed, because he had used that liquid, the explosive/healing liquid, that he had used on Emma. He was also surprised to see that all evidence of any fights, such as blood and the broken glass shards were gone, as though nothing had happened. Matt's heart hurt, and not because the knife had barely missed it, because that Cathy woman had missed his heart. He knew that Emma was alive, but what he had done to her, he shivers. That would keep her busy, trying to heal and get back to normal. He did that to who he killed, because he killed them and didn't let them walk around like that for the rest of their lives. By nightfall, he was ready to get ready for any jobs prepared for him, but for all anyone knew, he was dead, so he had to stay under the radar. He crept out of his window and down to Celia's, which was just two floors below his own. He saw that Emma was sleeping in the Master bedroom, in the queen-sized bed, getting the sleep she deserved. He slipped in and stuck to the shadows. He went up to the bed, relieved to find out that she, was indeed, asleep, and that she was alone in the apartment. He stroked her cheek, then leaned down and kissed her as she slept. "I hope you can forgive me," he whispered in her ear, kissing the side of her head before slipping out of the room, and to the livingroom. He brought out one of his vials of the liquid that he had used on himself and put it into several of the needles in the fridge, that were Emma's pain killers and other medicine to help heal her. "Ger better," he whispered to the air before slipping out of the apartment and going to his own. Hopefully, Emma wouldn't come up here, looking for anything that belonged to him as a memory. Just in case, he locked his door, with a specialty lock that only unlocked on voice command, and the same with the windows, which on command, became barred. Isolating himself to keep Emma safe was something he could do, for now. He sat in the middle of the livingroom on the floor and began to wait. He wasn't sure what for just yet however.

She wakes to Cathy, "Hey~ya Em," she tries to say bubbly. Emma stares at her emotionless, "Hey Cath." Cathy hold up a load of medicine, "Yeah your painkillers, gotta take them," she says while rubbing her arm, forgetting about the gunshot wound. "Ow, watch it!" Emma screams, she holds her shoulder with her other arm. "Oh crap, sorry," Cathy says while wincing. ,"Well I gotta sit you up, you ready for it?" she asks looking at her. Emma frowns, "Please just be careful," she says. Cathy smirks and hold the back of her lifting her up slowly. Emma screams, as her stomach folds with her body. The searing pain finally kicking in. Cathy's eyes water as she lift her up more, "Just a little bit more, okay?" She tries to say as her best friend suffers. She lift her up all the way and puts pillow behind her. "Okay this shouldn't hurt at all," Cathy says, tears in her eyes as her best friend struggles to do a simple task, sit up. The blood rushes through Emma's veins as she looks at Cathy, "Just do it okay?" She says impatiently. She lifts her good arm and feels the scabs of the bite marks on her neck. Cathy looks at Emma as she realizes what she's thinking, "You'll be alright Emma, You'll get over it soon," She says compassionatly. Emma's Eyes water, "I still can't believe he's gone," she says, "He-he's gone," She says her voice cracking as she cries. Cathy finishes her shot and gives her Emma pills. Cathy, hugs her so very lightly, and says, "Em, I'll be back in an hour don't do anything stupid, remember no walking, you'll just trip over your limp leg." she says leaving the room, Emma hears the door shut. "Ughh.. what to do what to do..." she mumbles to herself. She then thinks about her leg. she pull soff the covers and stares at it, a bulge of tissue and a chuck of skin was gone from the stab wound. She winces as she touches it. They she has an idea, she slowly swings her legs to the side of the bed and sit up alone completely. She whimpers as she does so, "Okay I've got this," she says to herself. Then she holds on to the dresser and pulls up with her good arm. She stands on one foot, with one arm supporting her whole body. She cries as she hops, the organs in her body feel like they've split in half. She goes to the door, and opens it. The wind brushing on her face, she closes her eyes and smiles, even in all the pain she was in she just wanted to see the outside. She hobbles over to the rail that shows the outside parking lot. She looks out and sighs in relief that she made it. She stares at the sunset, the scheme of colors, the pinks, purples, and blues. She looks at it as the thought of Matt pops back into memory somehow, she looks at the sun and tears fall from her face. "Why..." she mumbles. She tears turning into loud sobs, as she tried to keep her balence, the pain in her body not nearly as bad as in her heart. The feeling of loss, she didn't like it, not at all. Her leg gives out from all the weight as she falls to the ground, she screams in pain, it echoes the apartments. She cries as she wish to give up, she didn't want to live anymore. She knew it wasn't going to happen, god wasn't going to bless her that much.

Matt feels his heart almost stop when he hears the worst sound that he could possibly hear at that given moment. Emma's screams of pain. Like he hadn't heard them more times then needed. But he stays in the middle of the livingroom, despite his tempations to get up and look. Just a peek at what was wrong. Surely, she didn't miss him enough for it to hurt that bad. Surely she didn't miss him at all, after what he did to her. Maimed(sp) her leg, bit her neck, bloodied her up, almost killed her. He stayed put and waited for her screams to stop and for Cathy to take care of her the way that he couldn't.

She looks around and lays her head on the pavement, "Matthew," she mumbles. She whimpers and she hears the tsk of someone she wish she hadn't, "Emma what the hell did I tell you?!" Cathy screams at Emma. Emma looks at her, "What the hell did I tell you to do!?" She screams, "I asked you to save him, But NOO~ You had to save me, I told you, ...I told you!..." She screams. Her anger turns into sobs once more, Cathy rolls her eyes, "Your so emotional hun, " she says blandly. She goes inside the grab a wheelchair, "I don't wanna go in that thing," Ema says through her sobs. Cathy rolled her eyes, "Don't you dare back talk me, do it!" She scream again at Emma. Emma sighs, and pulls herself up onto it and she wheels her back into her room, and lays her back down.

Matt lost track of time, just laying in the middle of the room, not moving to even eat, just to relieve himself and drink water. The human body could survive for a week without food, as long as he drank water and used the bathroom. "Stop torturing yourself Matthew," his mother said from his couch. He looked at her from the corner of his eye, no longer caring how she gets in or why she does. "Go away," he groaned, curling up into a ball and ignoring her. "I'm your mother, I can do whatever I want," she countered. "You don't count as my mother," he barked back.

Cathy frowns, "Well look what you did? Your stomach stitch came undone," she say sternly. Emma rolls her eyes, "Your not my mother," she mumbled. Cathy smirked, "But a saved your a** Em" she says a-matter-a-factly. Emma Growls, "Maybe I wish you didn't, You didn't do what I asked!" She screams. Cathy sigh heavily, "You know I was trying to be a good friend and keep you company, but No, i'm going to go to work like i was suposed to," she argues. Emma rols her eyes, "Fine. Go. Please. " she says angrily. Cathy walks out of the room fumed and slams her front door, Emma left to sit by herself. Emma sits in her bed, "I hate it here!~" she screams uselessly into the darkness. then she hears the door open, she stares at her doorwar waiting to see who it was.

Matt's mother had left, but she had dropped off two things to actually help him. A bottle of whiskey, and a carton of smokes. He had quit smoking because it killed his lungs, but at a moment like this, he needed something to calm himself. He reached over and took a cigarette, put it to his lips, and lit the match in his hand. He lit the cigarette and took a calming drag, and leaned back against the wall. "This I can do. Act like a normal adult and waste my life away," he said to himself, taking another drag of the cigarette.
Matthew's Mother' POV:
She slipped into the open door, wanting Emma to know she was there. "Good afternoon Emma, how are your wounds? Any better?" She asked, with pure sincerity(sp).

Emma tenses, "Um.. Who are you?" she asks, she wanted to scream knowing she was in no condition to fight, to even walk for that matter. She shifts uncomfertably in her bed, "Ma'am Who are you? Sorry If i'm having a brain relapse or something, i can't remember s**t right now."

She smiled at Emma. "No, you wouldn't know me. And don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you. I have other people for that. I've just come to talk to you about Matthew," she said to Emma, sitting on the bed next to her and pulling her legs up, looking almost human.

Emma's eyes water, she tries to hide her pain, "Wh-Why would we want to talk about that?" She said, her voice sounding uneasy. She looks away from the women as a tear falls from her left eye. She wipes it away quickly and stares at her, "I'm truley not stable enought to talk about anythign that would stress me out Ma'am" she tries to say quickly as the tears in her eyes pushed her to the limit.

"Call me Ms. White Emma. I'm his mother," she explained to Emma. "You see, something big is going to happen, in his name, and you're friend, Cathy, isn't going to make it through it. Now, either you listen to what I have to say, or watch your friend die, and not be able to do anything about it," she said simply, waiting for Emma's response.
OoC: Come up with something Emily, ok? I'm just winging it.

Ms. White smiles at Emma and slips from the room, knowing Emma wasn't strong enough to follow her out the window. She slips into Matt's apartment to find him leaning against a wall, smoking like a chimney, but the bottle of whiskey not opened yet. "Good, you're not wasted out of your mind, like I thought you would be." She smirked. "Why would you think that?" Matt takes another drag and blows out a circle of smoke. "Because, tonight you're going to kill some people," she said plainly. Matt looked up at her. "I'm going to blow my cover?" He stated. "Yes. After you go to Emma's organization, kill people there, you're going to go back to the apartment Emma's staying in, and you're going to confront her. And Cathy's going to be there, so be careful," she told her son. He raised his eyebrows. "And you're helping me because...?" He trailed off. She laughed. "Because you can't kill me, because I saved you're life and you owe me for now," she smirked, and left. He got to his feet, and put out his cigarette, throwing it into the small pile he had already made. He went to his room and began to get ready, but this time getting mostly guns and only a few knives. He wanted them to know he was there, it wasn't the time to be stealthy when you had nothing to lose.
