Lee grinned, pushing him gently in the preferred direction.
The couple had picked a very unfortunate time for an intimate moment, however. The footsteps only grew louder, until they were right behind the door. Neither of them was given time to cover up before both doors flung open. She would consider it karma for intentionally disobeying her father, once her head was clear again.
In the doorway stood Mrs. Katan, eyes taking very little time to spot the two on the bed before she stumbled back, gasping loudly. Her face was both shocked and disgusted, tears rising in them a bit. The horror...

Rory cursed in didikai, scrambling off Lee and falling over the side of the bed, luckily the one opposite the door. He searched around, staying low, and found his jeans. Tugging them on, he peered over the edge of the bed. "Lee, I think your mum is gonna kill me. Or hae a stroke."

Lee's hands pulled at whatever bedsheets she could cling to, covering herself in the only way possible. And, to make matters worse, her dress was still in the closet, which seemed like miles away when she was in this position.
Mrs. Katan couldn't say a word, but it was clear she wanted to scream at the both of them. Face red with fury, she stormed to the opposite side of the bed, finding Rory with his jeans on. "Get out! Get out of my house you filthy pikey!" Her booming voice caught the attention of more than a few servants, all huddling around the doorway. "Get some clothes on," she hissed to her daughter, pointing wildly in the direction of the closet. "Disgusting, filthy, indecent..." she prattled on as she took hold of Rory's ear, tugging at him to stand.

"Gods!" Rory yelped, trying to get away from the woman. He managed to free himself, scrambling over the bed, and grabbed his shirt and bag before bolting from the room. That was it for him, visit over. If he stayed, he was sure Lee's parents would kill him for violating their daughter. He darted down the hallway and realized he was lost. "Aw, fook."

Scampering toward the closet, sheets wrapped around her, Lee slipped her dress back on as quickly as she could, hurrying back toward the door to stop Rory. Noticing the glare on her mother's face directed at the doorway, Lee paused, biting her lip and stopping by her mother's side. "Please don't tell dad..."
Scoffing at her daughter and shaking her head with disbelief, Mrs. Katan started down the hall. "Like hell I'm not telling your father."
Raising her hands to her mouth, Lee followed her, protesting quietly. "Please. Mother, please don't." She reached out a hand, tugging at her shoulder. "I'll do whatever you ask, really." She looked up at her mother pathetically, slightly out of breath with fear and... other things.
"Anything? Well, you could call off this marriage with that boy for starters." She didn't bother stopping, actually picking up her pace, realizing her daughter would never agree to such a thing.
Sighing, she shook her head. "Anything else."
Eyebrow cocked and interest perked, Lee's mother paused, turning back to face her, cold eyes looking her over. "Jeremy."
Lee looked at her suspiciously, tilting her head a bit. "What about him?"
"Give him another chance. A real chance. You had your mind already made up before. I want you to see him as a potential suitor. Him and whoever else I find fit while you're staying here." She folded her arms, somehow giving herself more authority in the process.
"Mother, I can't just--"
"Do this or I'm telling your father. And I promise you, Rory won't be asked back into this house again."
Biting her lip and looking away, Lee thought for a moment, rubbing her forehead and sighing. "Fine. Bring whoever."
"And you'll behave as if you're not with that pikey while they're here, do you understand? Seriously consider these boys, Lee. They're much better for you." Mrs. Katan walked ahead, half expecting her daughter to run after her in protest, but never saw her. Instead, she happened upon Rory, cocking an eyebrow at the sight of him. "Pathetic..." Was he really lost already? "You'll be moved for the night. But... you may stay." It was painful to say the words herself, actually cringing as they left her mouth. Pulling a young, male servant to her side, she pointed toward Rory. "He'll be sleeping with the lot of you tonight. I don't want him anywhere near my daughter, do you understand?"
Mr. Katan popped his head out a bit from his bedroom, eyes looking around to see where all the commotion was coming from. Wandering a bit, he found his wife, along with Rory and a servant. "What's all this?"
Scoffing in Rory's direction, Mrs. Katan cocked her head at her husband, still quite angry looking. "You wouldn't believe what I caught this boy doing to your daughter..." She looked to Rory, seeing if he'd tell the man himself or keep quiet.

Rory scooted away from Lee's mother, his expression was not unlike that of a frightened animal. He looked at Mr. Katan, glad he'd managed to get his shirt back on, not really knowing what to say. Looking to Lee for help, he noticed her rather defeated look. Well, so much for standing up to her mother. He frowned a bit and looked back at Mr. Katan. "Your wife needs t' learn t' knock."

Blinking with disbelief, Mrs. Katan stuttered, "E-excuse me, young man. You're not in a position to be insulting me." Huffing angrily, she turned back to her husband, who looked both surprised and frightened himself. "Rory was changing in front of Lee. Shirt completely off when I walked in there. There's no way we can let him stay in that room with her now."
Mr. Katan looked confused, opening his mouth to speak, but not finding the words. Clearing his throat, he gave Rory an apologetic look. "So... that's all? That's what this is all about?"
"Well I'm sorry if I worry over our daughter, Herbert. Surely he was planning to change his pants in front of the girl, as well." She looked back at Lee, cocking an eyebrow as if to say "you owe me one..."
"Yes, well... I suppose you're right. I'm sorry, Rory, but... you really shouldn't have been staying with Lee anyway. You might be tempted further." He shrugged, not at all sure what the fuss was all about. His wife picked the strangest battles...

Rory continued to frown, debating whether telling or not. He didn't want to be asked to leave or to have them refuse to let Lee come home. Jaw clenching and unclenching while he thought, he finally gruffed out, "O'd course, sir. I'll be more careful next time. Just used t' her bein' around, I wasnae thinkin'." The look he gave Mrs. Katan could only be described as pure hatred. He looked back at Lee's father again, expression softening slightly. "Actually, maybe this wis a bad idea. Lee should be able t' visit you an' all, but I shouldnae hae come along."

"Well, you're probably right..." Mrs. Katan started, before Mr. Katan took over.
"Nonsense, you just got here." The man ordered the servant from before to take Rory's things down stairs, stepping toward Rory. "Claudia, perhaps you should check on Lee. She must be embarrassed." He nodded to his distraught daughter a bit down the hall, watching his wife leave in her direction. "I'm sorry about that. She gets... flustered over little things. But it's probably best to just do as she says. Please don't leave, though. Lee is only here because of you, she won't be staying if you aren't." Another apologetic look before he looked back at his daughter, frowning at how embarrassed she must be of her mother.
"Rory wants to leave now. Though, I might want him around. It's better punishment, having him see you surrounded by other men." She didn't smile, didn't give any indication of how happy the thought made her other than the words themselves, which were pretty straight forward on their own.
Lee looked to her mother, then to Rory, not knowing what to say. Perhaps she should tell him about the deal? Perhaps ask him to go home? Or maybe... see if he even cares if other men like her.

"I know," Rory said, looking down. "She hates me, your wife does. She doesnae want me here an' she'll just take it out on Lee." He looked down the hall where the two women were. "Gods know what she's tellin' Lee reet now."

Mr. Katan looked down, not having it in him to lie. "She just... wanted Lee to live in a home like this... not have to work... live like she does." He looked up at Rory, reassurance in his face and voice. "But that's not what Lee wants. And that's what you should focus on. What Lee wants." Blinking a moment, he looked in the same direction. "She wouldn't take it out on her. I mean... how would she?" Mrs. Katan wasn't going to beat her or anything, she wasn't violent.
Looking over to Rory, their eyes actually meeting for a moment, Lee looked up at her mother, shaking her head. "It's not his fault, though. Can't Jeremy come over when Rory's visiting dad's office? I don't want Rory to see him. Pretty sure that kid wants to kill him." As much of an exaggeration as that sounded, it was completely true.
Chuckling at her daughter's words, Mrs. Katan shrugged. "Perhaps you should talk this out with Rory, not me." With that, she headed back down the hall, stepping down the stairs to go check up on when dinner was to be expected.
Lee leaned against the wall, looking down at her feet, not entirely sure she should say anything to Rory.

"Oh, I'm sure she has her ways," Rory said, practically moving to hide behind the man as his wife went past. He looked up at Mr. Katan. "What is it you wanted for Lee? T' live in a big house like this an' be a miserable housewife too caught up in her own self-importance like Mrs. Katan?" He didn't care if the woman heard him. She already hated him after all.

"All I wanted was for her to be happy..." He said his words with as little guilt as he could keep from leaking out in them, trying to sound like he wasn't as selfish as his wife. "Rory, you don't know my wife, I promise you. She wasn't always 'a miserable housewife', as you put it, and it has nothing to do with this lifestyle." He gave Rory a look that stated he didn't want to talk about it further. "As difficult as she is, understand that she is my wife, and I can't let you insult her so easily."

Rory nodded quietly, heading down the hall to where Lee was. "You alreet, girl?" He leaned against the wall next to her, looking down. "Your mum's puttin' me wi' th' servants. She didnae tell your da what w' were doin'. Not yet, anyway."

Lee smiled weakly up at him, nodding a bit. "That's good. I mean, that she didn't tell him..." She looked down, fidgeting a little. "My mother says... you want to go home?"
