All I know is pieces.
Do you know who I am? Aurios sighed and nodded his unspoken agreement as he walked on. His hands continued to pick what little he could form his hair to amuse himself on what he expected to be quite an awkward walk to wherever they were going. This place had many dangerous creature and he was weakened, though they didn't know that-yet.
"Just let me know when you've found the Tavern." he said suddenly, breaking the silence between them. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Raeyn kept her eyes ahead of her, wary about her surroundings although the place seemed relatively empty. She sighed lightly and then glanced at Aurios out of the corner of her eye, "Aurios... where did you come from?" she asked, trying to make conversation while hoping that it may explain his odd behavior. He carried himself in such a different way; as if he was unsure of himself. But that could also be due to his weakened powers that he had told her about.
A small sigh floated from her lips as she diverted her gaze to the horizon, finally peering at a large building that she guessed could only be the Tavern. "That must be it.." she said softly, her hands gesturing to the building.

Do you know who I am? Aurios seemed to ignore the question for a moment before shrugging. He had nothing to really answer the question with, so why not answer truthfully.
"Because I was asked to." he said without turning. "Got a letter from somebody who told me it was from Lord Kenshin, though I have no idea who that is. Just know I was supposed to meet him here and he was important."
He snorted derisively at that particular sentiment. Like it mattered who was important here. Just seemed to be a conclave for immortals and the like. This wasn't that big of a place. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Her head bobbed up and down as he spoke, "Ah, Lord Kenshin .. yes, I had the pleasure of meeting him before he left. He`s a vampire you know. A very old one. He seemed rather intelligent, and nice enough... shame you missed him, Aurios, but I hope that that won`t discourage you from staying here. He told me that this place was a Haven for entities like us.." she explained with a small smile on her lips.
Observing his behavior, she figured that he was probably upset that he did not get any answers from Lord Kenshin. She bit at her bottom lip lightly then opened her mouth to speak again, "perhaps... he wanted you to figure yourself out on you own.." she proposed softly. Her hands were absentmindedly playing with a strand of her hair as she spoke, then she lowered them to her side and stopped walking in front of the Tavern.

Do you know who I am? That gave Aurios pause, evident by his halt as well. He looked absentmindedly to the building on his left and realized they had arrived with a slight mental jolt. Sighing inwardly he turned his gaze on the girl.
"Vampire?" his voice carried a disregarding tone. As if a vampire wasn't that big of a deal to him."Old Vampire might make sense for a few things, though the man hasn't yet met me. How would anyone know what I'm looking for."
Aurios' eyes widened slightly as he finally registered exactly what Angel had suggested.
"For that matter, how did you even know I was looking for something?"his voice carried accusation and slight alarm as he snapped his eyes to hers. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. A small sigh escaped her lips and she tilted her head slightly as she contemplated his words. He seemed alarmed that she would even guess that he was lost somehow. She bit at her lip for a moment and then smiled disarmingly at him, "I`m not sure, but Lord Kenshin is a different .. entity" she said softly, then continued; "I didn`t really know, per say; more like.. I guessed. I mean, you seem so .. confused and lost.. a bit mad as well, but that`s my opinion.." she said, shrugging her petite shoulders. She couldn`t help but be blunt as she wasn`t used to conversing with others.
For a moment she stared at him, then took a few steps forward and leaned against a tree; relishing in the shade it gave her from the sun. She smiled as she stared up into the branches and hummed to herself softly. It was an old song, she wasn`t even sure where it was from; but it held some sort of semblance of 'home' to her.

Do you know who I am? Aurios ignored the mad part. A part of him couldn't refute that he might be partially insane, but he would never admit that to himself. With yet again another sigh he turned back to the building, putting his hands on his hips.
"Well." he said. "We're here. You're safe. Take care."
He gave a short courtesy wave and began to walk off, no sense of hesitation in his departure. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel watched him digest her words, then sighed as he seemed removed from her and spoke. "I.." she began, but then stopped as he turned around and began to walk away. A small crease formed in the middle of her brow and she placed her own hands on her hips as her eyes followed him.
She was about to let him go, when the thought struck her. He`d, skillfully, avoided her questions and she couldn`t have that. She needed to know what he knew. "AURIOS~!" she yelled loudly, forcing her voice to carry to him. She knew that he`d hear her and come back, or at least turn around.
Her feet carried her forward before she knew it and she had enclosed half of the space in between them, "you can`t just leave now.. you never told me what you know.." she said, staring at his back.

Do you know who I am? Aurios froze and turned, commanded by both his inner self and by her word. His eyes swung to meet hers expectantly, as if he'd been waiting for this, though his body exhibited a confused posture.
"I know alot, Miss." he said as he slowly regained his composure. His body took a half step backwards as she closed the distance. "It would take ages to tell you everything I know..."
His eyes had slowly begun to look like they had when he had held the dust, belying his all-to-real innocent confusion. It seemed that while he believed what he said, there was something else he was hiding, or hiding from. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel`s eyes searched his in a confused matter; glancing to a fro. She wanted desperately for him to tell her, to help her; before it happened. She knew what it was, and it pained her to think about it: the fact that she was losing her wings. Flying as all she knew, all she loved; and when she was exiled they had even taken that from her -- but slowly. They made her to suffer. She sighed and her hand pulled gently through her hair as she watched him. "Aurios.. I need you to try and explain it to me..." she said softly.
She had stopped walking towards him, thinking that it was making him uncomfortable; though she knew that something deeper was bothering him as well. She sucked in a deep breath and continued, "if it helps.. I have nothing but ages ... " she giggled melodically, and gently. It was as if a sweet song had left her mouth and a smile remained on her face afterwards. If anything, she wanted him to feel more comfortable, even if something was bothering him. "Surely just stalking off isn`t going to help you any, anyways.." she said, motioning towards the trees, "trust me, I`ve been doing it for 500 years .. and not much good has come of it.." she said, almost sadly.

Do you know who I am? Aurios' eyes widened gently then relaxed, his arms falling calmly to his sides as his posture regained some of the ease it had had earlier. Sighing for the what he'd determined to be the umpteenth time today, Aurios closed his eyes and tried to think straight.
"500 years is only a bit of your time, but i've been hunting my prize for well....ages." he said without a hint of bragging. It wasn't something he was proud of. His voice carried a thin edge of sorrow to it, though at the same time a simple sense of physical exhaustion. It was as if the memory itself was a burden."I don't know what I can do to help you. I don't even know what I don't or do know. The knowledge I told you earlier was as foreign to me as it was you."
He slowly opened his eyes and met her gaze, their emotion night and day from before. It held the edge of a scholar who only seemed to be analyzing the situation. They weren't cold or heartless, but rather based entirely in logic rather than emotion as they were before. It almost seemed to be someone else.
"I can't promise anything helpful..." he said gently. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. The smile remained on Angel`s lips as he seemed more comfortable. She nodded her head as he spoke, feeling slightly sorry for him in his situation. "Maybe we can help each other.. whatever you said about me -- well, my feather triggered it.. meaning that if you come into contact with different things; perhaps beings as well -- then you could potentially draw the answers from within your self..." she said slowly, only partially understanding what she was saying herself.
She smiled as his eyes met hers, their earlier confusion subsiding. He seemed insightful himself at the moment. She nodded her head, "that`s fine, as long as you try -- you are the closest I have ever come to finding any answers.." she said, tilting her head to the side slightly and diverting her gaze to the sky for a moment.
