Chalthara had almost forgotten the runestone, but she now handed it back to Veldrin. Good riddance, too. It would remove the need for her to confer with him remotely if she found herself in a situation where she would have to make a decision. Sort of.
"A fine plan of action," she said in response to Veldrin's statement regarding the making of battle plans. "We must not, and we shall not, fail."

Once Veldrin had the runestone back in his possession, he promptly visualized the House Warlock, Valagh; the warrior, Sy; and new House Assassin, Malag. "Your presence is required in the audience chamber immediately," he said, contacting the members via the brooches that all members of the house possess before he once again flipped the switch on the side of the throne, unlocking the doors.

Malag, who was thankful to have been sleeping lightly, snapped awake the second the call was sent out. He was well-rested and ready for action, his blades thirsting for blood. He sprang out of the bed and quickly put on his equipment with trained precision and speed, and was out of the room and down the corridors in moment. He streaked into Audience Chamber, saluted, and took his proper position. All his weapons were intact, and all his antidotes and poisons were ready for action. It had been a week since he'd last used it, so his ring too was ready, and Malag couldn't help but grin; this was going to be a night to remember...

The half-fiend quickly laid down the tome he was studying when he heard the summons. He wasn't entirely certain as to the purpose of the call, so he donned his dress robes, which, in addition to being quite fashionable, were ensorcelled to provide protection equivalent to plate mail armor, before he drew upon his eldritch power and formed a portal from the shadows created by the lit candle he was using to read by. A few moments later, he made a dramatic entrance into the audience chamber, emerging from one of the shadowy recesses of the room as he stepped out from Plane of Shadow.

Unsure of his own participation in the coming storm, Tagerion merely took a step foward, making his presence known in the grand chamber.
He promptly saluted each of his betters as they made their way into the chamber, and the runes of his armor began to crawl in response to the presence of the house warlock.

Veldrin took note of the odd reaction Tagerion's armor exhibited to Valagh's presence, intending to inquire about it some other time, before he addressed the human in lightly accented Common. "Well, you've saved me the trouble of having to track you down, human. I have an assignment for you; find a small complement of slaves that possess some degree of combat ability and take them to the barracks to await further orders."

Tagerion slammed a fist to his chest in salute and sharply turned on his heels. In a short number of heavy strides he was already out of the audience chamber, his massive footfalls echoing heavily.
Before entering the main compound he quickly pulled the small bottle from his armor and likewise removed one of his guantlets. In a violent motion he raked his forearm against the sharp edges of his armor, creating a bloody gash.
Closing his eyes he poured the liquor into his mouth and raised his wrist above his head, allowing his own blood to mix into it. Drinking heavily of body and spirits, the haze is his mind cleared abrubtly only to open way to the throbbing onslaught of battle-lust.
His mind flashing red with life fluids, he redonned the guantlet and approached a group of dwarf and ork slaves, whose size and strength would make mockery of nimble elves in the dence throng of cave fighting.
"Grab your axes lads, there is dark elf blood to be spilt" he roared in goblin and dwarf, two languages his master would not sully themselves to learn.
Within minutes, Tagerion and six of the most hardend dwarves and orcs stood in a small formation, the slaves appearing as smaller versions of Tagerion himself. They had robbed the slave quarters of the heaviest armor, axes and hammmers they could find, and waited with fire in their veins

Veldrin rose from the throne and began impatiently pacing across the room. The display was highly uncharacteristic of the disciplined and patient assassin, but time was of the essence if the element of surprise was to be maintained. All but one of the summoned members of the House had arrived, and that was beginning to annoy him. He clinched his fist around the runestone that linked the House Brooches, and visualized his top lieutenant (and one of the top candidates for the captain of the guard position) Solaufein. "Solaufein, report to the audience chamber immediately," he said, slowing his pacing.
The soulknife was in his chambers, deep in meditation, when the sending arrived. "Understood, jabbuk," he replied, dismissing the faintly glowing blade of mental energy that he was using as a focus for his mental exercises. He soon arrived at the audience chamber, snapping his heavily muscled arms across the leather armor covering his chest in a salute. "What is your command, jabbuk?"
Nodding an acknowledgment to the salute, Veldrin quickly replied, "Search the grounds and find Sy. Bring her here...by force if necessary."

Malag noted the powerful warrior enter the room, and he knew that House Hun'Afin's victory was all but assured. He looked up to Veldrin, saluting in turn, and spoke with vigor and excitement. He had sensed the urgency in Veldrin, and knew that now was the time to prove his talents.
"Milord, the assassins and I shall move at once; we will purge the walls of their guards, so that your warriors may have a clearer approach. They'll not see us coming, nor will they see anything at all..."
With that, he saluted once more to all, and made his way outside to where the House Assassins had assembled. He gave them the sign, and they took to the shadows like bats in flight, flitting away from lights and hugging the shadows like dear friends. The streets of Ulorbbath slipped away under their quick feet like the water of a river, and soon, the targetted house drew into view. Malag took a moment to survey their defenses, and prepared to strike, a cold grin on his face...

Sy had received the mental message from Veldrin but made no rush to answer the call. She figured her summoning was of two things. One, she was in trouble, which could prove to be disastrous if that assumption was true. Or she was to fill out a task for the Weapons Master. Neither of which Sy was in the hurry for. But the tingle of curiosity that often possessed the young rogue was her only motivation.
Sy rolled out of her bed and stood up to retrieve her equipment that laid over a scrap metal chair. Once she was fully equipped she then strolled over casually to her door and opened it to find a male drow standing there. His uniform made him look like an ordinary guard but his rank on his chest told her he was probably a captain of some sort. Sy's hand immediately rushed to her thigh where a tiny blade was perfectly concealed; embedded in her scaled armor. The only thing that seemed to go through her mind was she was caught and possibly for treason.
Keeping her cool before the initial action she pulled off her movement as a sign of weakness, "Damn leg has been acting up again," she then quickly peered down the corridor for any back up, "Is this important? Because I'm afraid you've caught me on my way to see the Weapons Master."

"Indeed it is," replied Solaufein. He took note of the drowess reaching for her leg and watched her next movements carefully; he kept his hands loose at his sides, ready to manifest his blade of psychic energy at the first sign of trouble. The soulknife had been around rogues far too long to take anything at face value. "I am to escort you to said meeting. It would appear that whatever reason you were summoned for was rather urgent if I was sent to ensure your arrival."

Sy took note of the male's words and nodded, "Very well then," the female couldn't help but to smirk at her series of arrogant thoughts that began to enter her mind.
As she walked down the hall, flanked by the guard captain that lead her to the audience chamber, she began to visualize the meeting with Veldrin and decided to greet him in her usual flirtatious way. Since the time she first met the Weapons Master till the last time she spoke to him when they sparred, she couldn't help but toy with him. Though she knew that toying with a male with high stature such as Veldrin was dangerous especially for her current position, but it was her way of seeing her limits and the limits and mentality of others. But overall it was merely a game of seduction. She had grown to like the male. He had earned her respect in their last spar. But Sy was never good when it came to feelings, her heritage prevented that, so she communicated by being difficult.
Finally the two arrived at the door of the audience chamber and Sy stopped as she crossed her arms and expected the captain to open the doors for her.

His muscles rippled as the warrior pulled open the heavy stone doors to the audience chamber, allowing the scarification tattoo of Selvetarm's holy symbol on his right arm to stand out clearly. Solaufein snapped off a salute before announcing, "M'lord, I have brought Sy as ordered."
"Good," replied Veldrin. "Enter...both of you, and shut the doors behind you." Once Solaufein had pulled the doors shut, the assassin turned his attention to the very late arrival. "About time you got here...what the ******** took you so damn long?"
