"Well, if the kid threw off a group of them, he's a badass, tried and true, but if he's captured..." Jarred shrugged absently. "I don't see there being much we can do, unless you guys know where they'd take him."

Kat shrugged, pulling herself to sitting on the arm of a couch, still holding her macaroni bowl. "I know where they'd take him. And if he threw them off, they'll just come after him again, but probably attempt to kill him the second time. It depends."

Rook paced back and forth. "Well, does someone want to come with?"

Kat let out a long sigh and set her macaroni and cheese aside. "All right, I'll come." She stood up and stretched some showing her body was still a little too thin. Though the few days at Roxanna's had done her very good. She pushed back a strand of auburn hair as she headed towards the door, always very direct when she put her mind to something. "Come on, Antsy Pants, let's get a move on. If I'm going to do something stupid, I try to get it done before logic strikes."

"Can we borrow your vehicle? The less you get seen in this is prolly better for you, in the long run. You're the only one of us who isn't supposed to be dead, or hunted after by the Keepers yet. It's best you stay that way."

Jarred frowned, arguing internally over the issue briefly.
"Rrgh, yeah, fine." He fished out the keys from his pocket. "Just don't get it super-strength'd through a wall or anything." He said, tossing them to Rook. "And stop somewhere to grab a bottle of water or something to keep on you, so Roxanna can check in to see if you're dead."

"Can we just borrow a glass of water? We'll try not to spill it all over your nice car."

"So that when you try and pretend to be cops, they won't all wonder why the hell you've got a glass of water with you is why." Jarred said, shaking his head. "There should be a bottle in the fridge. Go for it."

Kat pointedly swiped the keys from Rook as she went back to the kitchen to grab the bottled water from the fridge, her hair doing a smooth sway instead of a bounce as she walked. "If we can't scout this kid out tonight, Rook, I suggest we go back to school. As in literally sneak into high school and play as new kids for a spot or two. Seems a good amount of the bloomers seem to be kids, it'll give us, if anything, a chance to connect with people before we destroy their lives forever." She smiled slightly as she rolled the bottle into her hand and gave it a toss or two. "Besides, I always wanted to go to high school, and it shouldn't be too difficult for either of us to pose."

"Darlin? Darlin, really? You just really called me darlin?" Kat just shook her head with a chuckle as she headed for the door. "Where did you pick that up, some old cowboy movie?"
Before she opened it, Kat made a point to pause and give Jarred a very cold glare. "You. Don't you dare touch my macaroni and cheese while I'm gone." She glared for a second longer, her silver-lilac eyes narrowing, as she attempted to get her point across.
"All right, lets go." She said to Rook. She opened the door and headed out.

The sound of water started up in Jarred's bathroom as Roxanna began filling up the bath, preparing to listen in on whatever would be occurring.

"I'll heckle you, but I'm not going to just sit here." Kat said with a grin as they moved out of the elevator. She gave the man at the desk a wink and a wave as she headed out the doors and towards Jarred's car. "So do you want to just drive around the neighborhood, scout from a distance and in general avoid cops? Or how else would you like to do this?"

"Well then, sounds good to me. Think we're gonna have us an open evening any time soon?" He said, headed out to the place where Jarred had parked. "Stay at a distance and observe. If it looks like the Keepers are going to do something drastic, we intervene. If needed, we waylay the cops while the kid escapes."
