"Don't worry about it," She waved her hand as if to brush the worries away, "It's just cloth," She smiled, "Thank you for the offer, though...But we really don't have to," She stabbed at the spider, "I think that was the last one...Correct?"

Markus' hand dropped once their handshake finished, and began conversation. "Yes, I am of the banished. That was why I regrettably had to mislead you, my friend. I remembered you from my days in Haven, so I was unsure if you were here to hunt for the so-called traitors. My travels themselves take me to Haven, as I aim to gain retribution."

She nodded, "Unless anyone is severely hurt, we might want to continue. It's probably not too wise to stand in one place..."

"Well hurry and wrap that up. We need to get a move on before the next batch of land lubbers catch us," Freya rushed as she hopped down from the tree and cleaned off her blade. Purple and green goo fell to the ground as she wiped it clean with a spare rag she carried around in her kimono for these situations.
"Now doesn't that look delicious..." she mused aloud while she stared at the spider innards on the ground and sheathed her sword. Freya then grabbed a flask that she kept inside her sleeve, took a swig, and laughed out loud, loving the burning sensation that the alcohol gave her when it slithered down her throat. "We did pretty good for our first battle!" she exclaimed, putting the flask back in her sleeve and placing her hands on her hips. "It'd be best if we could find an inn in this godforsaken forest. I know they have them on the outskirts; the last bit of comfort before absolute hell," she exclaimed as she tried to peer into the darkness surrounding them.

Atticus listened to his words, They pushed some memories to mind. He seemed to trust him more now than he did when he had first met him. "Retribution is a big thing in these times, my friend. I would be glad to join you on your journey so long as the princess does not get hurt." He stood steady, waiting for a reply, but before that could happen he heard a howl that made him cringe. He turned toward the black forest.
"Markus. Ready your sword. There are new creatures among this wood. Some will make you regret you had even entered." He started onward, backtracking through the forest as he heard sounds of fight nearby. "You have friends with you, Markus?" He said, questioning Markus at first. "It's not safe to send them on ahead without proper guidance now a days." He then began to think to himself, We can either go help these people or we can face the wolves alone, but I don't really feel like facing the wolves right now. "Let's push on over there and see if they need our help." He finished, concerned about the travelers.

Markus' eyebrows furrowed. "Worry not, my feud has nothing to do with the princess, only her father. I had no friends, nor would I send any ahead, as that would be foolish. I was in fact hoping to gain more traveling companions to make a fair group, possible of lasting. Perhaps they would be able to help us on this journey." Markus walked briskly off towards the sound of the others, soon coming across the pirate with others. Snarling at the sight of the pirate, Markus turned to Atticus. "Perhaps it would be best not to get involved with them. That one is a pirate..."

"Yea...I thought I did, too," She stared back down at the hand she thought she burned. She heard Freya talk about an inn, but she didn't say anything. She briefly looked over at Leo with his water, and looked back at her hand.
"Something strange is going on. I have no idea what it is."

At the sound of the cloaked man's voice, disgusted shivers ran up and down Freya's spine, and her face turned into an ugly scowl. She clenched her fists at her side and stiffly turned around, giving the man a death glare and not caring for his companion at his side. "I may be a pirate, but I'm a damn good one at that," she pridefully retorted as she drew her blade from the sheath hidden behind her back. "What do you want anyways ye addlepate? Couldn't resist being without me?" she questioned with a smirk. "Or did ye want to see who's tougher again?"
