If Edward showed up on my doorstep, I would challenge him to a duel to the death and thus rid the world of the stupid, sensitive, p***k-of-a-vampire, and return the name of the vampire to its former, dark glory.

Not all of us are decked in goth gear. We don't have to, it just matches with the whole "darkness" thing. See, when we are undercover, we pretend to be goths, and we get by, because goths cant stand sunlight either.
And tearing humans limb from limb isn't a necessity, its a hobby.
