 Moving the bedding around to form a sort of nest, he took a step back to look it over, nodding slowly. "It'll do, for now. It's better then nothing at all."
Leaning over to nuzzle her again gently, he mumbled quietly.
"It was very nice of her, we are very much in her debt." He ducked his head down, pressing the tip of his nose against one of the orbs to nudge it forward very gentle, rolling it into the center of the nest.
"I'm not sure if they sleep, they could be sleeping now for all we know." He leaned over to nudge another orb forward gently, rolling it onto the bedding to settle next to the other, laughing quietly when they both wiggled for a moment.

 Hm. Perhaps they were asleep. Dolci knew that when she slept, sometimes her legs kicked if she was dreaming. Usagi had made a point to tell her as such the first (and only!) time they shared bedding during a sleepover. Maybe if the orbs were asleep, the wriggling a touch caused was because they were dreaming too?
She wished she could somehow ask them if that was the case..
But she shrugged, as much as she could, and set to nudging the orbs into their makeshift nest. She peered down her muzzle at them, trying very hard not to go crosseyed in the process, and giggled lightly to herself with the remaining three twitched on the end of her nose. And once all five were together, pushed into a star-like shape with one in the middle and the other four surrounding it, a wide smile appeared on her face.
And a lump wedged itself in her throat as well.
"Are you happy, Yuuki?" she asked, barely above a whisper. "You're happy, aren't you, that we have a family now?"
If his answer wasn't yes, Dolci wasn't sure she wanted to hear it. But confirmation that this, the orbs and all that came with it, made him happy would be more than nice to hear. She was still overwhelmed by it all if she paused long enough to think about it, but while she waited for an answer... she stepped over to lower down onto the bedding with the orbs. Laying her head on the soft cushion as close to them as she could get.

"Who wouldn't be happy if they were given the chance to make one of their wishes come true and it actually did?"
He walked over slowly to lower down onto all fours next to her, lower his head down to rest it against the bedding beside hers, watching the orbs absently as they wiggled against one another.
"I couldn't be happier. Just a bit ago I had nothing and now I have everything I could ever want, you and the babies.."
He shifted his weight to lean against her side absently before closing his eyes. Only a few hours had passed but it seemed like days, he was exhausted from all of the excitement, the worrying, and the thinking. Now would be a good time to take a nap and gather his energy so when he woke up, he'd be more clear headed.

Her smile grew even more broad as Yuuki responded. His words were sincere -- she knew he wasn't simply saying what she wanted to hear. It made the lump in her throat wedge in firmly and she tried to swallow against it, crying like a little girl wouldn't help anything.
But she had ample reason to cry. Happy tears, of course. In one day, she was given not just one blessing, but two. First Yuuki, and then five babies that were already so beautiful she couldn't rightly imagine how much more beautiful they would be once they were grown ponies.
She closed her eyes briefly, speaking a silent Thank you... to Seraphim, both for giving her and Yuuki a chance for a family and for giving Yuuki life. Because otherwise, she knew for a fact she wouldn't be anywhere near as happy right now without them.
"I am too," she said lightly, keeping her voice low so as not to encourage the lump from growing further. She watched Yuuki as he laid down next to her, subconsciously inching in just a bit more to be closer to him. "Words can't explain it."
Or could they? Certainly, there were a few words, put in the right order, that could convey how happy she was. Finding them might take some finesse she wasn't sure she possessed.
Once Yuuki closed his eyes, though, she leaned in and pressed the side of her muzzle against his. "Sleep, Yuuki. I'll stay awake for a while."

Yuuki awoke the next morning, he supposed he was a little more tired then he originally thought.
He lifted his head, stretching his legs out slowly and carefully so he wouldn't make to much noise. Dolci was sound asleep next to him and he wasn't quite sure about the orbs.
He leaned forward to look at them for closely, touching one gently with the tip of his nose and laughing quietly when it wiggled back in response. He whispered quietly. "So you're awake then, hmm?" He lowered his head a bit more to nuzzle each of the orbs gently, watching them all as they wiggled around, bouncing off of one another.
"You all are going to need some names.."

As soon as Dolci drifted off to sleep (only but a few minutes after Yuuki did, despite what she said!), her slumber was instantly full of dreams.
First, her mind's eye showed her a touching scene. Yuuki and five bouncing, hyper-active baby ponies. Each one uniquely marked, but the same colors throughout every one of them. One climbed up his back leg, another was running figure eights between his front legs, another was nipping at the tip of his tail, and the remaining two were taking turns pressing giggling kisses to either side of Yuuki's muzzle.
As soon as she started to approach them, the dream fizzled and faded into something completely different.
This time, she saw a large house settled in the middle of the pasture. It had lots of land surrounding it on all sides, with a rather large grove of apple trees towards the back. It was quiet and peaceful and the house was large enough to house many ponies all at once. There were windows on the first floor, shutters on the windows on the second floor, and a chimney poking out of the roof to one side that pumped sweet smelling smoke into the air.
Just looking at it, Dolci felt comfortable. Like she was at home, though she'd never seen the building or the plot of land before. But again, as soon as she started towards it, the scene dissolved right in front of her eyes and faded to the black of the backs of her eyelids.
And that's when she woke up.
She was startled at first, unsure of where she was and wondering why she was no longer standing in the grass under the sunshine. But she heard movement beside her, recognized the quiet murmuring that followed afterwards, and with a yawn and a stretch she remembered... Peophynnia's house, with Yuuki.
"Good morning," she said gently as she peered over at him. "And good morning to you as well," she added while looking over the five small orbs, just to make sure they were all right.
But something.... wasn't quite the way it should have been. As soon as Yuuki spoke again, mentioning names for the orbs, all five shuddered in unison. Dolci watched as the inside of each one glowed just a little bit brighter, gradually spreading the light through the entire globe.
She was already up on all fours, panic pumping through her veins. Something's wrong, something bad is happening to them!! What can we do!?
Though in the time it took for her to blink, and before she could open her mouth to squeak at Yuuki in her distress, the orbs dissolved in a flurry of sparkles and flashes of light......
...leaving five bright and dazed looking babies sitting in a circle on the bedding in place of the orbs.

Nuzzling the orbs absently, Yuuki cocked his head to the side when he heard Dolci's voice.
"Good mor--" Was all he could get out because from the corner of his eye, he saw the orbs begin to shimmer and wiggle even more until they were completely glowing and he watched as one by the one the orbs began to dissipate, leaving five, tiny baby ponies in the nest of bedding.
Yuuki just sat there with wide eyes, he couldn't move or speak, he was in shock, they were absolutely beautiful. Finally snapping out of it after a few moments, he started to laugh quietly before mumbling. "Well.. I guess you guys weren't sleeping after all." The closest baby to Yuuki took in it's first breath of fresh air and mustered up all of it's energy to try standing on all fours. It lasted for only a few minutes and when he tried to walk forward, he only ended up stumbling and rolling out of the bedding to land in front of Yuuki, sprawled out on his back.
The tiniest of giggles could be heard as it leaned up to lick the side of Yuuki's muzzle, kicking its legs back and forth playfully. Leaning back a bit when the tiny pony rolled out of the bedding, Yuuki watched him with a big smile.
He turned back toward Dolci and spoke quietly, ducking his head down to nuzzle the tip of his nose against the baby's tummy. "He has pink goldfish."
Watching the baby as it rolled around on the floor, he smiled wider. "You need a name little one.."

Dolci was just... dumbfounded. She stood there, her hooves digging into the cushiony bedding, and she stared with wide, amazed eyes down at the five babies sitting right below her.
Or, well, the four babies sitting there, once the little black and gold one went rolling over towards Yuuki.
Her head tilted to the side and she craned her head down further, curious to see if the other babies would react to her the way the first one giggled at Yuuki... And the babies, for one brief moment, looked about as bewildered as Dolci did. The three smaller ponies with mostly pink pelts sat there on the linens with wide, curious eyes. Darting their gaze from Dolci to Yuuki and back again.
When the first little black pony tried to walk forward, another one popped up to try it himself. His legs were wobbly but he tried all the same, leaning just one fraction of a centimeter forward before toppling back down.
But he didn't seem deterred!
In fact, the only thing that stopped him in his attempts was the lowered end of a much larger muzzle, sitting next to his face. He peeked up at the bigger pink pony, blinking at her curiously, before all but throwing himself in her direction.
A thrilled, happy little whinny came out of him before he realized what he was doing and he brushed his back against Dolci's muzzle, trying to stand up again to get closer to her. His recognition was clear, he knew he was peering up at his mother...The tiny noises the babies made, first the giggling and then the smallest whinny she'd ever heard... it tugged hard on a part of Dolci she never even knew existed.
It was instantaneous. One moment, she had been thinking about caring for the orbs in a distant sort of way. And the next moment...
..she was so desperately in love with all five of the babies that she could barely stand it!
"Oh," was all she could get out and she leaned her head down further, nuzzling the little black pony gently but purposely. She had no idea how she could love something so much in so little time, but the lump in her throat and the tears that she'd successfully kept at bay since the orbs' appearance flooded over and rushed down her cheeks.
"I knew you'd be beautiful," she said to the little pony through her happy tears. Then turning her head, she touched the end of her nose to the tops of the smaller pink ponies' heads.
"They do need names." Agreeing with Yuuki, she turned her attention back to the black pony still clamoring to crawl up nearer to her. "This little one looks almost like me," she said gently to Yuuki before blinking when the baby began to lick at her muzzle. "But acts like you." Her smile was fond, despite the tears on her cheeks. "Yuuki Junior."

"Junior?" Yuuki smiled wide, watching Dolci as she nuzzled the baby pony, tilting his head to the side slightly while the other black one was biting as his mane, tugging on the strands of hair.
"This one is going to be a handful." Yuuki let the baby play with his hair for a few moments longer before he pulled back to lean down and bite down onto the nape of his neck very gently, lifting him up to set him back down on the bedding with the rest of the babies.
"Junior.. and Jasper. His name will be Jasper." Yuuki nodded once before pushing himself up to stand carefully, walking over to lean down and nuzzle the tip of his nose against Junior's side. "So much for having time to make a place of our own."

"Junior and Jasper," Dolci repeated. Two of the babies had names and though they were only moments old... the names seemed fitting. Very fitting.
But what about the other three? The adorable little pink ones, who sat together in a triangle shaped huddle, still looking confused and unsure of what to do, despite the touches to the tops of their heads.
"And what about you?" she said gently to the trio of pink ponies, while trying to nudge the little black one back towards his brother.
Peering down at the soft, cotton-candy colored pony with a mane that matched her own in color, Dolci began to think. "You look like candy floss," she mumbled to herself. But the baby she looked at seemed to perk up in an instant, tapping her small hooves against the begging and shifting her expression from hazy indifference to one of pure happiness.
"Hm? Candy floss?" Cocking her head, Dolci took a very careful step towards the little one, who looked back up at her expectantly. "You want a floss-y name then?" And that's when it clicked.
"You will be Flossy," Dolci said to the baby fondly and brushed her nose against the little pink pony's mane.
The other two females seemed to immediately catch on, and both crawled forward to join in on the nuzzling. To Dolci's left, the pink pony with a black mane and tail that matched Yuuki's coloring; and to her right sat a pink and orange baby who had her own mane and tail exactly, even down to the coloration.
Thinking for a moment, Dolci thought the pink and orange pony needed a pretty name. Her markings were unique, and reminded her partly of Yuuki and partly of her own, as if this little one had gotten the best of both her parents. The name that popped out of her mouth was the first thing she thought of.
"Leila?" she asked, and was answered by the baby giggling with delight and rolling over through the bedding, getting tangled in Dolci's mane in her glee.
Smiling in satisfaction, Dolci laughed lightly and nudged at the little pony, though she only further tangled herself in her hair.
"Only one left to name. What do you think Yuu--.... Daddy?" Her smile turned wide as she peered at Yuuki.

Peering down at the last nameless baby, he smiled slightly. "Daddy, huh? I like the sound of that."
The last baby had a mane like Dolci's only pure black and he pelt was light pink with hints of pinks, oranges, and golds. Moving closer, he ducked his head down to nuzzle his nose against her gently before mumbling.
"What should we name you..?" He cocked his head to the side slightly, thinking for a moment. "How about..Imani? A beautiful name for a beautiful baby." Imani stumbled forward to lean in and nuzzle Yuuki back gently, letting out a tiny whinny when she heard him say her new name.
She tried to tilt her head back to get a few strands of hair out from in front of her eyes, but her legs got tangled in the bedding and she just ended up tumbling back against the bedding with a confused look on her face. Yuuki laughed quietly, stepping forward to lean down further and roll Imani over onto her side.
"So we have Junior, Jasper, Flossy, Leila, and Imani. Sounds good." He nodded once, moving back to lean over and nuzzle the side of Dolci's neck gently.

It did sound good. With the babies named, they seemed even more real to Dolci. She was excited and proud and enamored and everything in between. If she could have, she would have pranced in a happy circle around the five little ponies -- but she didn't want to step on them.
So instead, she opted to nuzzle her Yuuki in return, closing her eyes and smiling inwardly. Even though everything seemed to be happening so fast, she wouldn't have wanted things to go differently. Why wait for your wishes to come true when they can happen for you in the blink of an eye? Then you have more time, the rest of your life, to enjoy it all.
Then, a deep growl resounded inside Dolci's belly. She blinked in surprise and realized not only had they not had breakfast yet, but that the babies hadn't been fed either. They were probably hungry, too.
And that meant... raiding Peophynnia's kitchen for something to eat for all seven of them.
"We need some breakfast," she said to Yuuki quietly. "I bet the babies are hungry."
But what could she make for them all? Something, preferably, without flour that was for sure....

Yuuki blinked, leaning back to watch her absently before mumbling.
"What should we feed them?"
He really didn't know what to feed them, if they ate actual food or maybe they should heat up some milk and set that down for them, perhaps they'd like to eat grass? He didn't mind eating grass, the more he thought about it, the more he wanted it, maybe he should cut up some fruits for them, little tiny pieces...
"I'm really not sure what go give them." He stared at the babies with wide eyes, watching them as they all tumbled and rolled around in the center of the bedding.

"I'm not sure," Dolci answered truthfully. Maybe the babies couldn't eat, say, pancakes with syrup and butter and sliced strawberries on top with maybe some whipped cream or powdered sugar or cocoa powder or--... Well. It sounded good to her, but for the little ones? Dolci didn't have a clue.
"If we can get them into the kitchen, maybe we can try a few things." If the babies couldn't eat, or didn't want to eat, whatever Dolci tried to give them... at least their father would be there to pick up the slack!
Tilting her head to peer back at the babies, watching as Flossy began head-butting one of her brothers and how Junior, in turn, whinnied at her and flailed his legs in the air, Dolci tried to imagine steering all five of the rambunctious little buggers into the kitchen at once!
It made her smile though, and she stepped to nudge the two babies apart, pushing at Junior with her nose to set him upright again. "How about we try walking again?" she asked in a gentle, encouraging voice. "I'll help you."
Junior seemed to puff up at the question and slowly raised onto all four legs. He wobbled from one side, to the other, and leaned against Dolci's muzzle as she moved it closer to him for support. But as she gave him the smallest nudge with her nose, the little black pony seemed confident enough to take one step...
Then two steps...
Then three, four, five, all without falling, until he was on the floor rather than on the bedding.
He took a quick look around, and peeked back at his smiling proud mother, before he took off like a tiny black shot -- making a beeline for the doorway and the hall outside it.

Yuuki went wide eyed, leaning over to pluck the other ponies out of the bedding by the napes of their necks, setting them down on the floor gently, leaving them with Dolci before trotting after Junior quickly.
"Not to far!!" He laughed quietly, trying to keep up with the baby while also trying not to knock anything over in the process. "You should wait for your mother!
Yuuki nudged Junior gently to pull him back, waiting patiently with him for Dolci and the others to come out, his tail swinging back and forth absently*
"You're definitely gonna be a handful." He smiled wide, standing so that Junior was between his front legs.
