Erik shrugged. "It is no matter. The Fire Nation will be in uproar over the loss of the General, and perhaps also the loss of this sword. We have taken a small window of opportunity and stretched it wide open."

((Sry if we messed anything up)) Sara sighed deeply and sat down next to the fire. She had to control her emotions, something she wasn't the best at. "I suppose they did know the risk's when they agreed." She sat back with her legs pulled up close and hugged them. Her eye's started to close from the exhaustion of the fight and then escape back to the Village.

((Sorry if you had anything planned Tigris, but gonna move along the Rp. GM mode activate! >.< ))
Varnis and Mia walked from the infirmary towards the camp fire. Mia had a small limp due to her leg and Varnis was holding his chest. The pain was bearable for them both, but one was in more pain than the other.
Reaching the camp Markis greeted them both as they sat down around the fire place. Varnis looked over at Markis and waited for him to speak.
"So..." He looked about to see everyone that was there then to Erik. "... Whats the importance of the sword?" Markis asked as everyone was now here.

Erik smiled. "The importance of the sword...allow me to tell you a tale. My father told me this tale..." Erik sat down. "Long ago, all the land was consumed by total chaos. A demon reigned in lands beyond what is now the Fire Nation...the people called him Chaos. He was the incarnation of the darkness shrouding the land...When Chaos was in a bad mood, which was always, he would come to kill and destroy. But, four warriors arose. Wielding legendary weapons, they destroyed Chaos...or so they thought. They merely sealed him within the hell he reigned over. If what I suspect is true, then someone has broken the seal, and released Chaos's power into the Fire Nation, but the other nations could not feel it, for Chaos's power is weak right now. If the Fire Nation does indeed plan to use Chaos as a weapon against the other nations, then this sword-" Erik held the sword out at this moment-"is one of the few weapons that can harm Chaos. This sword was used by one of the four warriors who sealed Chaos away."

((You got me thinking about FF games now. Grrrrr... XD ))
"Chaos..." Markis thought for a moment. "That name sounds familiar." He replied to Erik as he looked at the sword. "If what you say is true, then we should get the others. Do you know where they are hidden?" As he finished the sentence Markis' attention quickly turned to the west of the fire place. He stared into the forest.
A few twigs snapped as well as the rustle of leaves. It sounded as if there where people walking through the forest. They where bad at being stealthy, or they weren't even trying at all. Five figures appeared out from the forest. Four of them carried long swords, and wore plat email armor. They each had a medium sized metal shield with a mountain carved into it. It was the emblem of the earth nation but, something was different about theirs. It wasn't a mountain, if one where to look twice, it was one of a volcano. From the looks of the four, they where skilled fighters, skilled beyond anyone here. They also looked to be about 27 years of age.
"I am looking for the one named "Markis". The one in the middle of them was wearing a brown and red cloak that hid his face from the wind. The man sounded as if he was young, around the age of 20 but, when he pulled the hood off his face, he looked to be around 60 years.
Markis stood up and looked at the five. He didn't recognize them, but the emblem on their shield he did recognize. "I am Markis, but why do you trespass in the village at this time of night, and who are you?"
"I am Alcorve. I have come from a hidden part of the Earth nation from the Volcanic region." Alcorve looked at the group that sat there. He examined their skills, their strengths, their weaknesses. "I have urgent news for you regarding the Air nation."
"Please, wait in the war room." He pointed to a large tent that was quite a way from the fire place. The men bowed and headed to the tent. Turning back to Erik, he spoke once more. "Please tell Mia, Varnis and Sara the rest." He turned to one of the villagers. "Tell me what Erik says that is of any importance regarding "Chaos"." The villager nodded, and listened to them talk. "Something has come up that I must address. Please, tell the rest, I will have one of the villagers fill me in." He walked off towards the tent as well.
Varnis sighed. Ever since the fire nation has become active, more and more people have been needing to talk to Markis. Something was up, and he had to know what it was. He knew that half the stuff that was being talked about was him since he had come in possession of a pendent of the fire nation. He kept it hidden from everyone though. "So... We gotta kill a demonic being with these four swords?" He asked as he looked off towards the direction of the tent before turning back to Erik and the others. "How hard can it be?" He kept looked at the tent, but knew to not listen in on any conversations that might be going on in there. Last time he did, the punishment was severe. He had to sleep in the wilderness for two weeks, and hut for his own food for those two weeks in the winter. He only had his clothes and armor. No weapons.

Sara listened closely to the tale Erik had been saying. "A bit far-fetched but and odd. My people have a similar tale but he goes by a diffrent name. But it does have four warriors that joined to seal him away. Is there anything else that we need know?" She asked Erik. Her eye's caught on the sword that had been taken from the Fire nation. "May I see what we have risked our lives for?" She asked as politely as she could.

Erik smiled. "You may. Legend has it that the sword will burn with an unending flame when a warrior of Fire Nation blood holds the sword. I know little of my heritage..." Erik took the sword from his belt and handed it to Sara. "The weapons in question are not all swords, actually, only two are. The Warrior of Fire, wielding a blazing sword...The Healer of Water, carrying a Sacred Urn. The Ninja of Wind, brandishing an invisible katana. And a Monk of Earth, wearing a spiked glove of overpowering strength. I know not where the other weapons are hidden. We will have to find them ourselves."
((yeah, I borrowed the name Chaos from the FF series. That's not his real name, though.))

Mia was surprised when she heard what they were saying. Mia spoke, "I've heard about this, it was just a legend in my village, or so I thought. I was told of this, when I was little." Mia looked in the direction of her village."I never expected anything like this to happen, I thought this story was just a story told to little ones." Mia sat down on a rock near the fire place. She then looked at Erick to listen to more he had to say.

Not having anything to add, Varnis sat there holding his chest. He listened to them. If he did talk, it would have hurt. An urn as a weapon? He thought trying to imagine one as a weapon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The four men that where with Alcorve where sitting outside the tent, talking to the other guards of the village. Exchanging battle techniques and stances.
"We where attacked by the fire nation a few days ago." Alcorve said as he and Markis sat down getting comfortable. "But... That isn't all." He looked out of the tent to the fire place where the four where sitting. "One of them was looking for Varnis, claiming to be his father."
Markis looked at Alcorve, unable to believe it. "I thought he was killed five years ago." He sighed. "This is bad. They will attack again then."
"I heard about their attack and talked to the elders. They came to an agreement to let you come to the village and offer you protection since they will come and attack you and out village again. Here, you don't have much protection." He looked about. The only thing that was protecting them was the dense forest around the village. They where vulnerable from all sides. "Our village... Well city offers more protection from all sides. If they where to attack again, they still have to break through the wall, or climb the mountains surrounding us, an impossible feat."
Markis agreed. "We will go first thing in the morning. But... Does the earth nation in the south know of this?"
Alcorve's expression didn't change. "No. We ha vent talked to our cousins twenty years since the war started."
""You may stay the night if you wish. I'll get things in order to move first thing in the morning." Markis stood up and excused himself. Walking to the flap of the tent, he told one of the guards to tell villagers to start moving in the morning as well as the other guards. Before long, guards started knocking on doors, telling them to pack and ready to move in the morning.
Sara held the sword reverently. 'So this is going to save us from Chaos?' She thought to herself before she drew it. She watched the sword slowly catch fire, Sara couldn't resist starring into the flames. With some effort she sheathed the sword and handed it back to Erik. "I do not think it likes me." She said before she sat back and stared at the stars above the fire.
"It seems you are of true Fire Nation blood, Sara." Erik took the sword, and belted it on. "The sword, in and of itself, will not save us. None of the weapons will. We must stop the Fire Nation from bringing Chaos back. He can only return if the whole world is thrown into Chaos...Ladies and Gents, we must stop a war. We all know tensions are brewing. If the nations go to war, the Fire Nation will unleash Chaos as a weapon that can envelop all of existence...a true picture of chaos."
"Maybe them summoning Chaos, will bring down the fire nation." He looked at the three, but mostly Erik. "Demons are not known for their loyalty. Maybe bringing a demon back, can end this war." He sighed as he held his chest. The pain wasn't as bad as it could be thanks to the healer. "Think about it... Wars will always continue. when one ends, another starts a few years later. The only way to truly end the war, is to end human existence." His voice seemed a bit cold at the end, as if it wasn't him who was relly speaking.
Erik noted the change in Varnis's voice, but cared little. "Weren't you listening? If Chaos returns, all the nations are gone. The Fire Nation will fall first, then the chaos will spread outward. All of humanity will fall."
"I was listening to the story you told." He yawned. It was starting to get a bit late. "The main cause of war IS humanity. Every war in history is caused by man and each one is worse than the next. If this one doesn't wipe out all of humanity, then the next one might, or the next. Each one more and more machines are created for death and destruction, each one worse than the next." Varnis stared at Erik for a moment. "The demon may destroy the fire nation which may or may not be a good thing. Things are not always as they seem. The fire nation is doing what they think is right to do, and trying to end all wars by wiping out all other nations. Who says they are the ones that are wrong?" His voice was still the same, but his body temperature rose slightly as he spoke and placed his hand to his head. He didn't feel quite right himself.
A guard came up to the campfire. "The village is moving out in the morning. We are heading to the valconic region. Its a three days walk there. The earth nation there will protect us there as we are vulnarable to attack here." He took a second to breath. "I suggest you all get some rest, it will be a long journy." The guard stood by the fire place and watched as the villagers started to leave.
Erik shook his head. "Yes, wars are tragic. But, eventually, one side wins, and the other side loses. If the Fire Nation brings Chaos back, then this world is gone. And, if my father was right when he theorized that there are other worlds, do you think Chaos will stop with just this world? No. He will go on, and destroy the entire universe. One single war throughout humanity has never brought an end to humanity. We humans have enough stubbornness to survive. And no matter who they are, human hearts are the same. Even when weapons are created that could wipe out the entire planet, I have faith that normal humans won't use them. The difference this time around is that the Fire Nation is falling to the intoxicating power of chaos. They are...corrupted." Erik then faced away from the group, and muttered just loud enough for all to hear: "This has Krious's mark all over it..."
