Shaw continued across the landscape with light, lifting footsteps, moving with an almost unnatural kinda of ease.

As the group progressed deeper into a thickening forest, the sound of a human's whimpering could he heard not to far off into the distance. The ground seem to suck John's horse into the marshlike ground behind its feet. A damp, stangent air then filled the nostrils of Shaw. **Shaw. Roll 2 d20's**

The hairs on the back of your neck stand up on end as the famialir scent of a Lizard'kin patrolman fills your senses. You are being watched by a deadly kin, but only one right now. Shaw hears that he has ran past you in the shadows. The sounds of a frigtened woman is hear no too far ahead. It seems as if it was just over the hill dead ahead of you The land as you progress seems to be more water then solid ground and John's horse is having a very hard time from sinking into the ground

((James, 'nother suggestion, please try and use the same style in all of your posts. What I mean is: stay in either past or present tense, don't toggle back and forth. Also, I noticed that you sometimes explain things using our character's names "John did such and such" and other tiems you change to "You do such and such" it kind of get's confusing @_@. Good job otherwise, though.))
Joh quickly stopped and spun around, pulling on the reigns of his horse, desperately trying to free her from the ground.

*Kayla looks back to see John struggling, she figures he would need help getting her free. Kayla pulls on the reins, trying to get the horse to follow her. She speaks to it, trying to comfort it.*

Shaw gestured for silence, pulling her staff out of its sheath. 'Quiet...we're being watched. By something not alltogether friendly.'

John's brain didn't regester any of the words. "I can't! Elizabeth's sinking!" Worry started to cloud his mind as the horse in whihc he had already formed a rather strong bond with sank ever so slowly.

*Kayla tried her best to calm the horse, but it seemed to distracted by being eaten by the mud. Kayla continued to pull on the reins as hard as she could, hoping the horse would follow her on more solid ground.*
((Yeah, i don't know if I'm even doing this right. crying ))

The stranger ran to the horse and touched the marshland beneath it. The horse began to slowly rise again from the ground. The stranger was in tattered clothing, obviously worn through and torn. Her physical body, however, did not seem to be harmed at all.

John pulled the horse away from the once not-so-solid earth and breathed a heavy sigh of relief. He patted the horse's neck softly and turned to her savior. "Thank you so very much."

The stranger looked to John You shouldn't speak so much. As your cloaked friend said, dangerous creatures lure in these marshes. Please, tell me the way out and I shall tell you any answers to questions you may have to me.

John's relief faded to be replaced by slight confusion. He stared a little dumbfounded. He opened his mouth to say something, but the meaning of what Shaw had said and what the stranger had said finally clicked. He slowly closed his mouth and turned his attention to the horse, patting her neck kindly.
