"I guess," Honey Jade sighed, resting her cheek against his neck. She was sprawled on his back in such a way that she wouldn't fall off.

Sokka forced himself not to tremble. Of all the things he had seen in this horrid wood so far, Honey Jade so listless scared him the most. He got up carefully and made his way to Maira. He wanted to rest, but he was afraid to. They had to find the wizard, free her, and get out of here.

Honey Jade snuggled down and yawned. "I think I'm gonna take a nap. Can we take a break?"

"Mmkay," she agreed, yawning again. She closed her eyes and let herself drift.

Sokka went over to Maira carefully and lowered himself beside her. He looked over all the small bite marks and small bruises already forming. He gently touched her shoulder, working hard to not mis balance and drop Honey Jade."Maira? Are you okay?" he asked, his voice thick with fear. Vampire. the word circled his head and made his blood run could. She couldn't be a vampire... could she?
Maira groaned slightly, her eyes opening. "Wha... Sokka?"
"I'm here. Are you okay?" he asked.
"Where's Honey Jade? Did you find her?"
"Yeah, I have her. you blacked out again, then?" he asked.
"I' guess so..." she said. "We split up, I ran into the wood, I heard a sound, turned to look....and...that's all I remeber. Ugh...I hurt all over... what happened?"
"Honey Jade said the two of you started playing rough..."
"I... don't even remember finding her. Is she okay? I'm bigger then she is, I might have hurt her...ow..."
"I think she can usually give as good as she got. But she said...."
"Said what, Sokka?"
He shook his head, it couldn't be true. "Forget it, it doesn't matter."
"Sokka?" she asked, worriedly.
"If you're up to it, we should get moving. The sooner we find the wizard the sooner we free you." And get out of this blasted wood.
"Alright," she said softly. She got up and swayed, falling in to Sokka. He fell, dropping honey Jade as Maira landed on top of him, her face against his neck.
