The child, at first blinked when asked to get off of the man's leg. Curiously looking up, no answer came to the questioning face. "Wh...Wha? Okay..." the poor creature, shunned it would seem, at least by the wolf like creature. Not even Mikaley's first words were noted, or heard for that matter, not through this disappointment. "O...Okay...sorry..." spoke the smaller creature, head lowering. Lukan wanted nothing to do with play, or with the child, or with the affection given. And though it was barely seen, the child's right hand balled, slowly forming into a lightly shivering fist. But then it came...Mikaley asked the other man to play! That meant two people to play with, two was always better then one, and so the child jumped and spun toward them. "Yay! Yay yay yay!" so happily were the words called out. "Hehehe! I like you better!" and no sooner was that said had the small one forgotten Lukan! Why? Because he wouldn't play, so well, he didn't really matter anymore. But just then, as the little one was near ready to approach the two, the doors of the church opened...

Like the rest of these people, he was a stranger...at least to this young one. But he was not so much in the same mode of personality the rest were. Oh no, he was far more gloomy, far more saddened, far worse off then they seemed to be...at least for the moment. He passed by, seemingly unaware that there were even other people within! Of course, that would not stop this little one from noticing him. As he passed by, a pair of violet hued eyes went wide in wonder, watching as the man came upon the statue of the crucifix. He probably would not have noticed the child creeping up on him, well...skipping, happily bobbing left to right. Sweetly sensitive, cheery gaze of violet peered over his shoulder, or tried too. But being shorter then he, that was not very easy, even with him kneeled. The child played with a few strands of the long, silvery, violet toned hair down its back as he spoke, as he begged forgiveness. Only after he stood and finished was even a single word uttered. "Hehehe, you're silly. Begging for forgiveness like a mere dog, asking for your Lord to simply overlook the horrorible things you do. A religion of convenience where everyone can be happy after death, as long as they ask to be forgiven! No true consequances, no worry of blame, because you can ask for forgiveness!" the child's arms clung to the man's left leg suddenly, latching on in a hug.

A wide smile came upon the young one, looking up to him with a giggle. "How astute Master is for pointing out the flaws of a faith which follows the wrong deity!" a yelp of sorts was made, happily, and even excitedly. "Is it forgiveness from God that you want though? Or from those you've wrongged? Hehehe! You're silly! And know what?! You're gonna play with me too! Yup! You're gonna play whether or not you want too..." and so the child released his leg, then made a brief twirl away from him, spinning, until finally stopping about two feet away and looking toward the others. "Hehehe! You'll play too! The wolf -freak- can leave! He's mean! I don't want him to play! And I only need three of you! Hehe! Hehehehe!" both the child's arms raised high into the air, eyes turned upward with a wilde smile. "Eee!!! Let's play! Hehehe! We'll play until you can't play anymore!!! Yay!!!" cried the young one's happy voice.

Seth could hear a small voice from behind him, and as he finished his prayer he answered the voice's rather intruding question without bothering to look back to him, still staring up at the statue. "I don't wish for hapiness after death.. I know where my place is, once I have left this Earth..." he began, still looking up at the Crucifix.

Until suddenly he felt something latch onto his leg. Looking down at his leg rather shocked, he shook his head slightly, trieing to get the little kid off his leg. Though this kid was apparently out of his sane mind, his words made sense.. in an almost twisted sort of way. As the kid began to squeek something about playing, Seth simply cocked an eyebrow "Look kid, I don't have time to 'play' with you.. go find someone else to play cops and robbers with" he said, still trieing to shake the young one from his leg.

Suddenly, it hit Seth that there was either something about this kid.. something out of the ordinary.. or this kid was just plain out of his little mind. "You can't force me to do anything, you little rascal" Seth said before standing tall, unsheathing his blade from his back and letting it lie at his side, just in case...

Seeing the amusement in the boys eyes as he walked past Topaz to leave, Topaz growled so lowly that it was almost inaudible. He would not be confused as a jester among creatures. He decided to follow the brat, and confront him with the issue later. "It's better than," he said to himself as his tail twitched in annoyance,"than being thrown out of a church." As he turned he wrapped his tail around the doors handle and walked forward pulling the huge door shut with a ClANG.

Suka walked up to the large doors of the Church, having not replied to Karin but only continued walking. He was sure that even if he only found a statue of some figure that he might be able to finish work from the last visit to an altar. He was here just by himself...other than Karin. He was sure that nothing Karin did might turn him in a different direction but he could never be positive about this kind of thing. He stood there in front of the doors and sat down with his legs crossed, debating on whether to go right in or not. He noticed the stained glass windows and looked at a large circular one from down on the ground. He looked up at karin after a few moments and sighed a bit "So...then we're gonna go in huh?" He hoped that this place's holy presence that he could feel from outside would not interfere with his work if he was able to find a place to finish it. The last time was shortly after the war...Shadows and Nightmares and all...it had been finished and the population of both of those creatures had decreased greatly...if he was able to finish his work and leave scat-free then he'd be happy...he waited for Karin to go first.

Karin blinked at him, frowing slightly. "Sending me in first?" she murmured quietly. "Making me check for a barrier?" But she turned and started towards the doors without protesting further. She moved slowly, almost hesitantly forward as she approached the large wooden doors. She reached them without trouble though and swallowed nervously. She glanced over her shoulder at Suka and then back to the door, starting to reach towards the handle. Then she paused, frowning to herself again. Why am I so nervous? I haven't done anything bad... With this reassurance, she grabbed the handle and jerked the door open, closing her eyes as if expecting to be shocked. They slowly opened as nothing happened and she smiled over at Suka, waving her hand for him to come.

Suka blinked a couple of times at the door being opened like that, and though she waved for him to come he did not for at least fifteen seconds. When hefinally did though he did it slowly and he closed the doors behind them feeling the presence stronger than he had from outside. He looked up at the window and then down at the statue which seemingly prayed up to it and looked around in search of an altar. "Karin...If I leave abruptly...and if I do if you want to follow...follow from a distance...this is just so that you're warned...." he said looking at her but then quickly searching for an altar again. He'd surely not be returning to this place once he was done with what he was about to try...and if he used this church's altar in the way planned successfully than he would surely be drained more than he already felt he was being drained if he ever set foot in the place again. Seeing the other statues around the area of the one facing the window he assumed that these would have to work for altars...though which one he would use he did not know...someone was already using the crucifix and for him to recioeve completely what he needed than he would need to use one alone.

Karin blinked, still holding the door open for them though he didn't come right away. She tilted her head curiously, then stepped aside as he finally approached. She watched the doors shut, and then glanced back to him. Is he... bothered by being here? she thought to herself. She was feeling slightly uneasy too, but only slightly and it might have been simply because of the rather big deal they made about it back in the library. Did he do something to make himself unwelcome? She tried pushing the various things that popped into her head away as she began to follow him, pausing abruptly as he turned back to her.

She blinked in surprise and confusion, then slowly nodded her head. "Um, ok..." she said uncertainly, but didn't question it. She instead trailed slightly behind him as they moved a bit further inside, eyes flicking around the room and quickly trying to take in everything.

Suka walked over to the large angel and then began to walk around the statue examining it close. ONce he decided that it would work, instead of kneeling befvore it he sat with his legs crossed in front of it. He didn't put his hands together, he did not bow his head. He looked stright up into the angels eyes from where he sat...his eyes made their way to the base of the tatue and deciding that he'd rather stand than sit he scooted backstanding up once more. He hoped he was not making Karin feel uneasy but all of these unanswered questions that he could feel coming from her...he had not answered he question at the library, had ignored it in fact, and he probably would not answer the questions that surely would come after this until later. But there would have to be a time when all the uestions would be answered....for now that time was not near...

He stood in fornt of the statue now and looked it in the eyes from that height, placing a hand on either shoulder of the angel. He was not sure how he would do this, for last time he had not even known where to begin...but this time he did not know where he'd end it for he had already started and only needed to continue. As he stared into the eyes of the angel he began to mutter under his breath the Lord's prayer. "Our father which art in heaven, hollowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive out debtors, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever..." but he cut off the final part and began to mutter something else in a different language, the black irises of his eyes turning indigo and the eyes of the statue beginning to throw off an image of liveliness. He continued to mutter the words, and the more of the incantation that left his mouth the more the Statue began to look as if it were coming to life...though this was just an illusion and Suka knew it, the illusion could very possibly begin to decieve onlookers if he dd not finish before it looked completely brought to life.

Karin's eyes followed him as he approached a large statue of an angel and sat rather casually before it. She resisted the urge to correct his posture, thinking maybe he had some sure reason to do things this way. It was his idea to come to the church after all, but she just didn't understand at all what it was. Yet, she didn't speak. She felt more that she should keep quiet and simply watch for now. What if she messed up whatever he was doing? And honestly, part of her was curiously and intently watching his every move.

So she just remained froze in place as she watched him stand to face the angel statue now. She blinked, tilting her head as he reached out and touched it, thoroughly confused. Her ears perked as she heard him speaking but it suddenly cut to a language she did not understand. She was behind him as well, so she missed the color change of his eyes. But she saw the statue and her own eyes widened in surprise. Just what was he doing?

Suka felt her there and he knew that now that his incantation was coming to a close the Angel's illusion was soon going to begin moving. He listened as the illusion's wings began to change color to black and he continued to mutter the incantation until finally he brought it to a close with the traditional "Amen". Once the final word was spoken the Illusion moved out from where the statue stood the statue disappearing for a moment, all part of the illusion, and the face that the statue made was evil, that of a demon instead of an angel. Though it quickly faded when he let go of the angel's shoulders it was extremely ugly until then. when he let go his eyes slowly returned to the colorless black from before and he turned away from the statue for a moment, lookig at the ground as if to make sure that what he had just done had actually been finished. He gave it just a moment longer than he had expected and then when he turned to look back at the statue he winced in pain for a moment. Feeling unwelcome so soon in this place. He looked at Karin for a short moment and then unable to take the sudden drainage he began to feel he headed quickly for the door opening it and moving off toward the courtyard they'd visited before. He needed somewhere to go and felt that that would be the best place for the moment. He did not look back but when he got to the courtyard he though he might wait for a while for if she might have followed...though she did not sem to have been harmed much by the Church...he left quick before a priest or anything had the chance to come for him and hoped that he'd be lucky and this little mishap would never make it out of the room with anyone other than he and Karin...though when it came to things liek that he wasn't very lucky.

[K! I had to break for dinner, but I'm back. xP]

Karin's eyes widened ever further as she watched the statue's wings change color. To her, it seemed as if this really was happening. He was giving life to a statue? Her ears perked as she heard him say 'amen' and she blinked in surprise as the statue seemed to disappear. She flinched back involuntarily at the change of its face, legs bumping into something behind her and buckling.

But she didn't stand again, and instead stayed on her knees as she watched, her eyes perpetually wide. The face had already faded as he released it and turned to look around. She kept her eyes fixed upon him, wondering what just had happened. She blinked as he looked at her, staring right back until he suddenly ran from the church.

She remained sitting on the floor for a moment longer, recalling his warning to follow at a distance. After a moment had passed, she jumped to her feet, stumbling at first. She held her head as a wave of dizziness washed over her and then quickly proceeded forward, somehow keeping herself upright. She raced from the church and after him.

The heavy doors of the Church suddenly burst open, and there stood Scythen, Tomoro over his shoulder. His eyes searched this holy area as he noticed others here, religious people.. he would have to take precautions, to avoid contact from these humans, and make sure they were not to avoid his ritual..

A dark, purple mist slowly began to eminate around him and Tomoro as he began to walk into the Church, his darkness diminishing the strong spiritual and holy aura the Church gave off instantly. The mist which circled his and Tomoro's own body would quickly begin to rupture the holy essence of any being who were to get to close to him, thus leaving them powerless and weak..

Finaly reaching the statue of Christ, he looked up at the face of Christ upon the cross with a wide grin, before furiously wiping out the small religious items before the statue, most likely offered to the statue by believers. Placing Tomoro down just before the statue, she lay there at just the height of Scythen's waist.

Taking out the dagger from within his cape, a golden dagger with silver and diamond embeddings, he grinned once more as he pointed the dagger towards the statue of Christ. "YOU.." he said before chuckling rather eerily for a few moments "... tell your angels they have a new God" he said the last part rather furiously as the sick grin quickly disappeared from his face, and he brought the dagger's blade down to Tomoro's neck. "Wake up, my little pawn.." a dark energy began to form around her wrists and ankles, an energy that pinned her down to the area she lay upon..

It was then that a young girl, about six was walking down the street happily, her hair in pigtails, a small red dress that covered her frail body. She smiled quietly and calmly at everyone who crossed her path, but then stopped in her tracks, dropping a basket filled with food for her mother on the ground, the contents spilling out.

"C'mon, Tomo... it's not that hard. Daddy just needs to experiment just a little... he's almost got it done..." That too sweet tone made the little girl sick, and she quickly fumbled to the ground, picking up the food as the man walked toward her. "Tomoro! Get back here... NOW." With that, a small smirk formed across his face and he picked up the girl on his shoulder, slapping her face when nobody was looking. She began to cry, but he only did so over and over, until not a sound was heard...

Tomoro jolted up, her eyes widened as she struggled to move around. Looking down quickly, she realized that she... was tied down, and couldn't move at all, for her feet and hands were bound. "Dear God..." she muttered to herself. Apparently she was at a church, for when she looked up, only a sad statue of Christ gazed back down at her. In disgust, she began to thrash and turn, and then realized the stranger was directly in front of her.

Gritting her teeth in disgust, a look of pure hatred in her eyes, Tomoro opened her mouth to speak. "If you want... the box... you could have just ripped it out of my skull... no need to take such care in performing a ritual..."

"Oh no no no" Scythen said with an evil grin as she looked up at him with disgust. She had no idea how much pleasure he recieved from watching her tied down, suffering, and looking to him with such a raw fury. "You see.. if I were to just.. cut you open.." he began, the blade of the daggers just nearly touching her skin as he brought the blade down from the top of her forehead, over her scarred eye. "..there is no telling what would happen to the box.. or the effects the box would have.. they could be.. hmm.. disasterous" he almost appeared to smile for a moment, but in that same sick and twisted way..

"But the ritual.. ah, the ritual shall make me a God.." he said with a wide grin as he brought the dagger to his own skin, pressing it firmly just over his wrist, "..let the blood of the demon fall upon the body of the bearer.." he began in an eery voice, almost a hiss, that echoed throughout the Church, and with these words he cut a horizontal cut over his wrist with the blade, a bright white light eminating from the blade and where it cut along, all that could be seen was the thick, black blood which fell from his wrist down to Tomoro's forehead, about four drops falling onto her head before he pulled his wrist away.
