"Don't get too comfortable here, hopefully we won't have to stay here too long before we get back home. I know I'd rather be back at home right now than in the middle of this dustbin." Shinzou said in a calm tone while he turned back to battle, his fingers continuing to rap on the hilt of his Zanpakutou.

Okojo nodded to Hibiki, smiling a bit. "Pleased to meet you!" he said to him, tilting his head to the side lightly after giving a light bow directly to him. He wondered if the guy was nervous, or if he was afraid of talking to people, or something! But, it didn't matter to him. He was nice, and he was the 3rd seat- that meant he was strong, right? He looked to their captain again and nodded once more. "I'll just get used to it, hm?"

The male seemed to nod, a third time, but to himself. He would get used to it. And then, maybe... maybe he'd get a chance to spar with the captain. Right then he was too weak, but he vowed to get strong enough so he could have some fun, too!
Okojo looked to Shinzou and smirked a bit.
"I think this is kind of cool... We have room to venture, and nobody has much to worry about when training and sparring... There isn't much to destroy, after-all! You go in that direction," he pointed in the direction he came from, "And all you got is dirt. No buildings, no academy walls, no people to bump in to..." he shrugged.

"Well, hopefully we'll get everything we used to have back again soon as the b-battle begins," Hibiki commented. He missed Soul Society. It was much more secure than the roughness of Earth and the real world.

Scratching his head, he looked back at Okojo and a thought occurred. "Hey Okojo, are y-you up for a spar maybe? I'm out of practice, only if you want though..."
PostPosted: Sun May 17, 2009 7:25 pm

"Sounds like the kind of place I'd enjoy." Said Shinzou seriously as he stared out in the direction that Okojo had pointed out. "I kind of like the sand. It's the only tangible thing that flows the same way that time does, slowly, but eternally. Tell me, how is your perception of time Okojo?" He said as he stood and began to walk towards him.

Okojo blinked at Hibiki, and then grinned. "You really want to? I'm still not all that good... definitely not as skilled as a lot of people here." His eyes traveled to other squad members who were hanging around. His hand shifted to the strap he had across his chest to hold his blade to his back. "But, if you want to... I guess I have to start somewhere, right?"

The blond looked to Shinzou as he stretched a little, a bit nervous and not wanting to screw up his first real spar. "Time? I dunno... I never really think about time, anymore... I mean, unless I'm scheduled to do things... I just estimate what time it is, and check up with someone just in case, and go to things on time. Usually, though, I think an hour behind..." He shrugged a bit. "Not quite sure what you mean, sorry!"
PostPosted: Sun May 17, 2009 7:39 pm

"Thats not quite what I meant." Shinzou said as he appeared to 'skip' across the space between them. It was almost as if he was part of a record and something had cause the needle to jump forward or like a film in which a few frames had been removed. "You know that it can be bent right?" He said as his last little skip brought him to Okojo's side. "Time can be felt, seen, and even bent but those who are gifted. Thus is my special ability. What is yours? Just... you know... wondering and all."

Hibiki Kita

"A spar is always good, despite skill levels, and I'm sure your fine," Hibiki said, his right hand reach across to his katana's hilt, drumming his fingers the guard for a second before quick drawing it. The blade flicked out and he held it out to the side. "Practice is practice, r-right? You come at me first." Sliding his left foot a bit he widened his stance and bent his knees a bit. His eyes watched Okojo's hands, waiting for the draw intently.

Okojo blinked a moment at Shinzou, before he seemed to think a little as he brought his attention to Hibiki as the other spoke. "Yeah, practice is practice!" he replied while still thinking how to best answer Shinzou's question. "I dunno, exactly... I could say I'm fast, but I'm really not... and I suck at Kidou." Eyes examining Hibiki, he almost mimic'd the stance, though his feet were a little farther apart and in a position that held him ready to draw his own blade. "I guess it's just sword combat. But I'm still working on improving that, even. I haven't really figured out what my 'special ability' is, yet, if I have one."

Reaching over his shoulder, Okojo drew his blade. It seemed to take a little while, as having the sheath on his back seemed to cause a bit of difficulty, but with the size of his sword it seemed he needed it to be there to carry it around. The blade glinted in the sunlight as the tip barely hovered over the ground, both of the blond's hands on the hilt. "Don't go too easy on me, Senpai!" He called to Hibiki, before starting out in a bit of a run toward the other male.

Trying to fool his sparring partner a little, he ran with the blade in one direction, and then switched his hands so he could move to the other side at the last moment, bringing up his blade for an attack, though it was obvious the blade was meant for power rather than speedy attacks.

Shinzou watched him, taking a step back to give them a little more room. He had a feeling as to how this was going to turn out... and his feelings were never wrong. He squatted back down, hand on the hilt of his Zanpakutou as usual, and began to shift his attention back and forth between the two spars that were taking place.

Quote:
Mock exhaled the smoke in his lungs at Hatsume's face, when she was approaching, in order to disrupt her eye-to-hand coordination and form a "curtain" of smoke between them.
Not resorting to any shumpo technique at all, Mock simply used his own reflexes to dodge the incoming blade. With bare hands (kiseru hanging from the right corner of his mouth) he caught Hatsume's katana! What he did, was slightly twist his body to his right in order to position himself directly in front of the blade's path, and halt its movement by constraining it between his palms, that he clapped together. Making continuous and strong pressure with his hands (coming from his biceps and deltoids) against the sides of the Zanpakutou's blade, Mock held it in place, as well as Hatsume - providing the Shinigami didn't let go of the sword.

The veil of smoke was quickly disappearing, but something happened... What Hatsume probably didn't noticed, was that Mock's own katana had once again turned to ash, that was mixing itself with the tobacco smoke cloud. Therefore, the visual effect it produced, was that the actual smoke exhaled by Mock, was now enveloping Hatsu, before it exploded around her upper body!

Moetsuku! The Captain said, commanding the ash to burst and ignite into a fiery explosion! (That would be harmless to himself).

((Can I give you a word of advice Hatsu-chan? I know it's your style and everything, and I'm fine with it, but have you considered making paragraphs? It'll add to the presentation of your posts and make them easier to read. It's good to organize ideas better as well.))

(Aye I'll keep that in mind! =) Thanks for advise!)

»‡«Hatsume»‡« As the smoke got in her face and diffused her vision, so did it also irritate those rud hued eyes causing a stinging sensation which would erupt in a watery overflow as her natural defenses tried to cleanse the irritation away; not that she'd keep them open after having smoke breathed on them. The shinigami immediately winced them closed before feeling that her actions had been halted.
It was obviously that her blade was caught, and being blind hadn't caused much of a problem due to being more intact with other senses, although it didn't relieve her of the irrative pain in her eyes; annnnyways... With no true time for her to stop what she was doing and wait for a possible incoming attack from her Captain, Hatsume used the last of her momentum before it disappeared all together to swing her lower body like a slingshot as she attempted to simply dive down while keeping hold of her blade. By this time the smoke faded and the quick process of his counter took place. Ohh Nuuus! Even though her legs kicked out, and she found her body in a mid-air laying down position while in this diving attempt to push her feet against Mock... would it explode onto her body;
Aside from a sharp yelp like sound, the surprisng explosion would cause her hand to accidentally slip off the blade, causing that diving body to plummet to the ground before her kick could even reach him. Hatsume did have a natural resistance to elements, but it wouldn't help against pain nor burns.. if at all; it would only reduce a portion of the maximum damage that would be inflicted. Leaving Hatsume to be flat on the ground cringing with pain from the fiery burst of Mocka's power. Amazingly though, that former hand that held the blade was still up, as if it was desperately still holding onto something.... but it wasn't....Thus afew twitches were made from the reaching digits in her raised hand; assuming Mock didn't do anything else to stop this. Would Hatsume open up her eyes with a few blinks. Pethedic....I smell of disgust....The thought aroused before "...Please say what happened ... didn't happen.." A irritated smirk caused the right side of her lip to curve up. Somehow she figured this would end differently.
Aye, she had the energy to get up and keep on going- but it seemed as if all her motivation was dropped as quickly as her body hit the ground.

The first thing he noticed was that his opponent's sword's size was larger than usual. Should be an interesting match-up. His grip on his own katana was loose to a point, but not in a way that it would slip, but in a fashion that reflected his use of finger movement, not just wrist and arm.
Hibiki... are you you going to be needing me?
I think I can manage f-for now Nephele.
"Going easy on someone is an insult, s-so believe me I will not do so."

Okojo starting coming at him. His blade's to the side. Hibiki's katana moved out to straight out in front of him in a starting stance, the tips of his fingers tight on his hilt, palm lingering close to take the brunt of a force if hit. About to swing to meet the blade he spotted the flash in the hand off and the point coming towards him. A switch, clever. Bringing his katana straight up, he stepped left, and pushed down to meet the blade coming up. 1, 2, 3... His steps went one to the side, the second foot following and the last step forwards with the force. It was all about timing.

Hibiki pushed on the blade, and with his farther foot swung a sweep, attempting to throw the balance in his favour. This was too close for comfort this early.

((Sorry for the slow reply, I'm a slow typer sweatdrop ))

(( It's fine ^^ I'm working on some last-minute school stuff while I RP, too, so sorry if my posts come slow, too ))

Okojo's eyes had moved to his opponent's blade, and then his feet. Of course that wasn't going to do anything... he thought with a small grunt as his heavy blade was pushed back toward the ground. He could feel the other trying to get him off balance, and wound up stepping back just after the tip of his blade touched the ground, one foot narrowly avoiding the sweep, though the other was caught.

The blond stumbled back a bit, though it seemed that the weight of his sword was enough to help keep him from falling backward completely. He took a few moments to recover, though, giving his opponent time to attack.

((Sorry sorry! My bad! Guess the fight ended before it even started...))

Sorry about that, Hatsu-chan! Mock said with a worried look on his face, while choking on the smoke from his pipe. I was still heated up from the previous spar, so I didn't held back against you!

The Captain plunged Hatsume's Zanpakutou on the ground, next to them, and helped the young kitsune get up, holding her with both hands.

Patting her head, he warmly said We can go at it again if you want to, I promise I'll be more soft now! Or, we can rest for a while.

The Shinigami gave her a cozy smile. I know what! I'll let you do your most favorite thing now! he said, while rising his right hand above his right shoulder and pointing with his thumb to his back.

Hishida looked at the two shinigamis as they got into position to spar. He walked back to his spot on the ground and sat down again. This time, he took out his shamisen and began to play it, but not loud enough so that anyone could hear it, just for the sake of letting them focus. He closed his eyes and let his three stringed instrument guide him through the endless dimension of thought.

Good reaction. He's watching well. Hibiki brought himself back up from the sweep, as the blond shinigami stumbled back a bit, but knowing that he had been quick enough to avoid the main effect of his advance. As he paused, Hibiki saw the oppurtunity against the open man. Lifting his blade so it was level with his waist, Hibiki stepped once to bring his feet together before lunging forwards, his blades held straight to stab towards his opponent's chest, very much a movement he learned through fencing. His whole body moved with the follow-through, the foot behind the only sturdy and still point in the fluid move.
