((Just a suggestion to prevent future confusion: there's a few 'gamers' in this camp, maybe seperate them more clearly by referring to them as the WoWer / LARPer / DnD nut, or something along those lines? XD; ))
Simon's face lit up a bit when Annabel laughed, clearly pleased that his joke had managed to get through to her. By the time Rosalina approached he was in a decent enough mood and used to people suddenly appearing now that he only jerked a bit instead of outright jumping in surprise.
"Y-yeah... I'm okay," he replied. Indicating toward his plate with a nervous grin, he continued, "I'm just not sure I can digest this food... I've never had ceiling tiles in my diet before."
He was still baffled as to why there were suddenly so many girls approaching him, though.
His ears twitched a bit at the prospect of another camper sitting with them. It was starting to get a bit crowded over here... but the more allies they had, the better. So he shrugged, and said, "Go ahe-"
Or at least he started to speak. The sound and smell of someone puking made his jaw clamp shut, as he silently pleaded his weak stomach to behave.

Christ, how much attention was their table attracting? Turning to snap at the now approaching camper, Annabel found herself quickly re-assessing that idea as she looked him over. Well, they had similar fashion sense; maybe he wasn't a total and complete p***k? Gesturing with one free paw, she nodded.
"As long as you can tell me you don't like Twilight, you're good to go. I haven't got any qualms about it."
Glancing to Simon to see his reaction- maybe he'd warm up if they got a similar group of people together- she barely registered the girl losing her pancakes all over her plate. Grimacing in disgust, Annabel turned and pushed her own plate away. So much for getting a meal in. Turning back to the girl who'd approached earlier, she put on an 'oh-god-just-act-normal' face, and sighed.
"Well. I was alright. I, uh. ..Guess everybody doesn't have God's gift of an iron stomach." Moving a paw to jokingly pound her own stomach a few times, she shook her head, turning her focus back to Simon.
..Who, now that she thought about it, wasn't looking too happy at all.
"Christ, Simon, are you ok? We could... s**t. Move, if that'd help."

Carmen went through the motions of taking her tray and dumping the uneaten portion of food into the trash and setting the tray, cup, and eating utensils on the little spot for them. She then lingered around it trying to catch a glimpse of what was going on in the kitchen.
She was almost tempted to stare into it except as she looked around. She saw a glint off hte knife in the wall. Being freshly reminded of that, she thought she better leave it alone. At least for the time being... After all, she had nothing to base these fears on about dead campers in the kitchen.
She then walked out to the door and sat on the steps leaving the mess hall. At least the air was still fresh. That was something to be glad for.

Helena sniffed and finished cleaning herself off. For the most part, her dress was saved, and that cheered herself up a little. She tried hard to stop crying, as she also didn't want to be dubbed "the crybaby". To save herself from any further embarrassment, she ran outside, still sniffling a little and hopped down the stairs, past the green camper, noticing briefly the bird tattoos that she bore. Oh, how she wished she could have tattoos, but her parents never let her. She walked a little ways off then sat on the grass and looked towards the lake. She hoped that things would get better.
((time for dinner bai biggrin ))

Lex sat down with a light, agreeable "Heheh." Now would not be the time to admit that it had read the first three books. Just make some friends, so camp won't be Hell on Earth. The barf heard 'round the room caused Lex to swallow its own bile, and Lex hadn't eaten anything! "Wow. Sick on the first day. That's gotta suck." A genuine pang of sympathy hit it, but it wasn't Lex's place to try and calm the ill camper; might even make things worse. Ah, looked like she was going to get some fresh air. Looking at the LARPer, Lex winced. "Uh, cover your nose with your shirt and breathe through your mouth." And please don't puke on me, was the unspoken prayer.

"Well, we're alive right?" Shrugging, Ariel choked down another bite of the round flat discs that passed for pancakes around here. Oddly, the syrup didn't seem to help much...if anything, it simply accentuated the 'unique' flavors. "Considering half of us woke up with darts in our a**, it really could be worse." Voice dropping to a whisper, she continued, "Smiling's usually a good thing, but something about our host gives me the creeps."
...Oh god. Someone was puking. Clenching her teeth, she fought a 'sympathetic' reaction.

(( wow, so much action already ))
It had been with a muffled growl that Lucifer had gathered his bag and followed the 'host' and the rest of the campers to the cabin. But it wasn't because he was afraid of whatever may be on the docks, or cared about whatever else might have been lurking around, or that he was even hungry.
Not at all, he was only curious, hey, if he was stuck here he may as well know where -here- is. Besides, that building was wood right, it would probably look real nice if he added some fire.
Heh.

"Eh, don't let them get to you Chef-man. Not everyone can have the stomach of Owen, heh heh!" Man that camper could -eat-. Speaking of eat, Chris took a bite of his pancakes before moving on in discussion. "...Totally wasn't -my- idea dude, but what can we do? At least we have plenty of campers to participate in challenges hrmm?"
..Ah crap, his bear. "Err....................I don't think he has dude---"
The sound of someone yacking brought Chris to a halt. Turning, he glanced in their direction to offer a YEEEEESH face before quickly turning back to Chef. "Cleanup on aisle 3!"

Gazing desperately at Annabelle, it was clear that Simon really, really wanted to move, but the fact that the room had started to spin slightly and blood was rushing through his ears made it difficult to try. Instead he followed Lex's advice, burying his face in his shirt and sucking air in through his teeth. If only someone would hurry up and get rid of that mess... he could just barely see it out of the corner of his eye, which made him squint his eyes shut and make a little whimpering noise.
He had to get out of there.

Sneakysneaky....
Yes, she was sneaky. She'd intended to be the first uber-ninja in...but thanks to her HORRIBLE sense of direction she had gotten horribly lost. Yes, lost in the short walk. Thankfully...she did have some skills at finding her way.
The food didn't look good at ALL...but she'd stomach it. Who knew when she'd be able to eat again...Choosing a fairly vacant table she slid in and...watched and ate.

"True, true," he admitted. "Ah'd thought we'd get a bigger budget without 'im around, but with this many... Heh. Ah'm cookin' the normal amount still!" The large Audio handed out pancakes to those that wanted them, eying the remaining stack. Eh, they were a little cold now... but on the plus side, these were the ones he was careful with before he remembered it was campers he was feeding. Warm and gross verses cold and normal...
The thought quenched itself as a camper threw up. In his messhall. A dark scowl stormed its way onto his face. "Me? Naw man, that's jus' nasty! OY!" He raised his voice and turned, walking towards the back of his kitchen. "AH KNOW THERE'S AN INTERN 'ROUND HERE SOMEWHERE! C'mon out! Ah got a job for yew!"

Trying not to focus on how horribly everyone was reacting to the vomit, Annabel pushed her efforts into gently rubbing Simon's back with a paw, keeping lighthearted conversation to distract everyone. Nodding at the girl, Annabel gave her a forced smile.
"The guy's a massive creep, man. Not only does he get nicer food, I think he and the chef are in some kind of freaky-a** relationship. I mean, who the hell DARTS people, and takes them to this sort of hell hole?" Scowling, Annabel glared over to where the host was standing. Rat b*****d, is what he was. "Really, I think I might have to get a few darts myself, and shove it right up the b*****d's a-"
Pausing when she noticed the look Simon was giving her, she swallowed her comment and stood up. Looping an arm under his, so that she could support his weight, she gestured for the door with her head.
"Hang on, Simon. We're going to get some fresh air, alright? Just.. hang on." Glancing to the other Audios, she snarled slightly.
"Sorry to megabitch at you guys, but for the love of god, go get those ******** doors open! He needs air!"

Scott had just been peering over the counter with a hopeful look on his face. Maybe Chef would have some pancake scraps left over for him.
His ears drooped as he heard the Chef's call. Well...maybe Chris would reward him afterwords with a pancake of his very own!! Scott waved a hand. "H-here, s-sir."

Normally, Lex would have refused to help just to spite the person ordering it around, but right now ego could wait. Lex made a beeline for the door and held it open, hoping for a breeze. Coming very close to losing its cool, Lex shouted toward the adults and intern, "Baking soda would be really useful about now!"

Carmen was going to go over and comfort the girl who had gotten sick. She had plenty of sympathy and compassion. It had been all she could do not to let her stomach react to that aftertaste that was giving her first rate anxiety about why it was like that.
She got up and walked over to her. She was about to put a hand on her shoulder to offer some consolation, but then, she felt it. There was a searing hot pain that ran through her abdomen. It bubbled and gurgled, and only one thing was in her mind. TOILET! She needed a toilet, fast, pronto! Off she scurried into the nearest stall she could find.
